it's a 1 cost blocker searchable by bonney. also synergizes with captain kid. plus another blocker you can play to fill in on turns where you don't have enough don to play a rosinante or hawkins.
Probably better odds, Bonney can fetch Bege or Hawkins, and Baby 5 can only get Rosy, and depending on his trash state and his hand, and what he has seen in his other searches, he probably had a better chance at finding a Bege blocker.

Hi, im new to Bonney, is there a reason you don't run the 3 cost Dellinger? It seems like such a good card
i think thats more for an aggro playstyle, looks like he plays fortress bonney which is a lot more defensive. I do too
