Great song Johansen did sing 'Chatterbox regularly following the death of our Lord J.T. Especially in the later line up of the Dolls. Generally introducing the song as being a tribute for the great man.
Dee Dee wrote Chinese rocks but Richard Hell added the last verse. Thunders stole it when Johnny Ramone didnt want to put it on an album. They later did but The Heartbreakers finished the last verse.
@deedeecapone Actually they were about the same considering he was still writing songs for them Dee Dee was a huge part of the Ramones but he certainly wasn't the heart and soul that would be Joey,Johnny and him together

Years ago we were friends during the time he lived in Amsterdam from where I moved him and his girlfriend Barbara to our town Mechelen in Belgium. Deedee also came up with the name Ramones in1974,he called himself Deedee Ramone long before the other bandmembers adopted the Ramone-name. Awesome cover of the Dolls' song. The original had a great guitar "undersound" to it that this version is too raw and edgy to emulate, but at least it doesn't have David Johansen's simpering vocals.

Johnny Thunders sang this live when the NY Dolls played this. He also did a remake version called Leave me alone. I don't think Johansen ever sang it.

It wasn’t stolen, Dee Dee gave it to Hell, then Hell left the heartbreakers, and they kept playing it.
