Celebrimbor was a good dude but he let his hatred for Sauron cloud his vision. I'm sure he appreciated Talion but his desire for Revenge was stronger. And now Talion will find peace while Celebrimbor will be bound to the World.

There were so many red flags with celebrimbor even before betraying you. He talks like everyone else when a Ring of Power grasps at your mind. “We need it back” “Its perfect” “We need the ring”
One that stood out was one of his speeches after taking a fort he damn near sounded insane, but I don't recall the correct speech. I knew he (Celebrimbor) was losing himself as time passed.
@@friccle_ Hmm either that or its the next speech he gives in whichever fort he takes after retaking Nuren. Even when it came to collecting the artifacts you could sense an ego. Celebrimbor was definitely not the same after Shadow of Mordor.
@@Redyank1194 Frankly, looking back on it, it was pretty clear at the confrontation with the Tower in Shadow of Mordor, and that revelation that he could have released Talion at any time. He was lying from the very start, and the Bright Lord DLC only further hammered that in, because it made it clear that even claiming to have no memories and gradually recovering them with the artifacts was itself a lie.
In some ways I do despise Celebrimbor, for all he's done and all he's become. He betrayed so much, including Talion, and for that, there is little rememdy besides death. But he had the potential to be so much more. So much better. I miss the Celebrimbor who could've been. The one we could sometimes hear and see in him, when he spoke of things besides conquest and domination and his ring. That Celebrimbor I wish had triumphed, though I think I understand why he didn't.

This is why I missed celebrimbor in the epilouge. it's nice hearing two people talking all the time.
I agree with that, but I honestly like the dark power. I'll take power over fake friendship. Talion still speaks to himself out of habit.
