Great reviews! The Blossom Harmony is literally a unicorn here in the US, extremely rare to find and a lot of secondary markets are charging upwards of $600 for the bottle. The cheapest I've ever seen it was $240 at a liquor store, but I heard someone finding a bottle at Costco for $150 or so, but in an incredibly rare drop.
Jake Burton, Thanks for the comment, it is great that you were able to get the Blossom Harmony, it is so far my favorite of the blends. Let me know what you think once you get a chance to try it. I hope you have a great rest of your day, Cheers!
Thank you for reviewing the line up! Hibiki is definitely my favorite Japanese whiskey. In my opinion, Harmony is enjoyable and the 17 is my favorite. The 21 I have didn't impress me ... perhaps it's just my bottle or year? Still looking for an opportunity to taste the 30 year!
I have not opened my 30, waiting for next month 30th anniversary but I do like the 21 over the 17 and other Hibikis (masters/harmony/blossom), cant wait to try it.
The 17 and up is great. I found some similar profiles with the Hibiki 17 on colder climate scotches with that gold hue. Funny thing is I found a 12 year just before they discontinued it msrp 99. That cherry blossom sounds interesting. Your review on the Hibiki Mmake me want to blend kavalan sherry cask with four roses 🌹 and a shinobi mizunara for fun. 😂
Drunkenfury, Thanks for the comment, that would definitely be an interesting mix, blending Tiawan, American and Japanese whiskies together could end up being amazing! I hope you have a great rest of your day, Cheers !
Great review! I’m a huge fan of Hibiki and Japanese whisky as a whole. My local liquor store has blenders choice available for $320 a bottle. Not sure if I want to pull the trigger. Thoughts?
Kris, Thanks for the comment, I think that $320 is midrange, I know around here in SoCal, I have seen it in that high $290's range, which is a great price. If you can wait it out, you could save a couple of bucks, but its sorta hard to get, so if you can find it for $320 I would pick it up. I hope you have a great rest of your day, Cheers!
Was in Japan last week, i bought 1 bottle of the Suntory 17 years old with the gold label, 2 bottles of Hibiki Harmony master’s select limited edition. The guy said these are good bottles for collection. Did I made the right choice?
SOme 20 years ago, I tried 12 brands - i like none. . . All tasted weak and diluted, as if a mix 50% Scotch + 50% vodka (or some neutral spirit). . . or a 2 year old Scotch blend. Next to a bourbon, these Japsk(e)y taste like bland veggies next to a juicy steak.
Which one would you drink first?
Hibiki 21!! Terrific reviews!

@@Whiskey1 thanks, I appreciate your insights! I’ll snag a bottle and add to my collection.
What's a reasonable price for the regular hibiki?
Why is the top of the video cut off?
