Avengers at Stapleford

In the spring of 1965 the cast and crew of the television series the Avengers stayed at Stapleford Park near Melton Mowbray, Leicestershire, and filmed action sequences on the miniature railway there for the episode 'The Gravediggers'.
Almost fifty years later the trains are still running, the landscape hasn't changed and the long summer of the 1960s continues...

Hyuk! I remember that show! A bit of a play on the old silent films where the "damsel in distress" was tied to the tracks by the handlebar moustached villain!
