I'm a professional furniture maker and there was some properly intimidating joinery in this video! Excellent stuff dude, this is one to be very proud of.

Haha yeah, its frustrating seeing what gets views, ill keep chugging along, obviously more income from it will inevitably allow better videos as more time can be spent on them. Not sure on the best route forward, but its not bad

I watch in awe! Your precision doesn't even register in my mind. How you cut all these parts and they fit so precisely is an absolute credit to you. I know I would make mistake after mistake, which way up to cut ,which piece goes where. Amazing work 👍

Picked up a new favorite tip from one of your early videos in this series- the chamfered and sealant filled joints are brilliant. Couldn’t find the same sealant here but I’ve made do with a different product and it’s been working well. Previously if I didn’t want to have a hairline crack show in the paint I’d chamfer the joint to hide it in the shadow- but never thought to fill the chamfer. 🍻
Hey mate, thankyou, Ahh yes the V-groove sealant is the tech name. Try exterior joinery coating manufacturers/ paint suppliers near you. im pretty sure sikkens/akzonobel are worldwide.

Mate please tell me what consumables you use? Filler etc? Renovating old building and beautiful original front door and want to use beat products possible to prevent future hairline cracks.
The way that this all went together is just superb! I think I've just been sitting watching with a smile on my face for 40mins! bravo!
Can I just say, I am in absolute awe of your workman ship!. As a locksmith I would be petrified of touching that door as I know I would make a balls up somewhere and damage it because it would probably be the nicest door I've ever seen so sods law would dictate I damage it 😂

Its a good hardwood if going for a painted finish. Custome wanted hardwood over Accoya so thats what we went with. I only agreed as its well under cover and will last in that location
I'd have left that beautiful mahogany wood exposed, just would have varnished it

What spray gun/ system do you use?
Its a 30:1 graco wth wagner gm4700ac gun. reccomend, the gun, dont buy anything else

Yes, its a good hardwood for painting! I genuinely prefer a high quality paint finish to stained/varnished wood.in most cases
After watching all the videos from this project, I really enjoyed this condensed version.

Full version is of course much better, because it shows every detail and most of the struggle you've put into making the door.
But this one may be a good entry video for new viewers. You could even try and make a short to promote this footage.

Were those Tempered marks on the glass? We have that law here in Canada too for commerical buildings but I always asked my glass guy to leave them off on my residential jobs, not sure if thats allowed out there. A company I used to work for we made a built in closet with glass fronts and he forgot to ask for the tempered mark not to be put on and every piece of glass had the mark, it looked horrible.
Yeah, they are, you need them for building regs. You can get discreet ones that are really almost invisible..., but the customer ordered this one and i don't think they had the option too...
@@BradshawJoinery Well at least the glass pieces are large and the marks looked to be located in the same areas. Great work, you guys have way better schooling then we do, much more skilled than we in Canada or the US.
