After making your royal icing in a frosting consistency, place your stencil over a piece of wax paper.
Next, use a spatula to spread the icing in a thick layer over the entire stencil.
Use a cookie stencil scraper to press the icing into the stencil while keeping the layer nice and thick.
Carefully peel the stencil away from the wax paper taking care not to smear the icing beneath.
Now, place the sheet aside and wait for the icing to dry completely.
Repeat for all other colors and/or stencil designs.
After the icing has hardened completely, use your multi-tool to carefully free each sprinkle, if necessary curling the wax paper underneath.
Your sprinkles are now ready to take your baking project to the next level!

These sprinkles being that they are made out of royal icing would not be able to placed in a refrigerator, would they? For example to place on a cake and to put in a cooler.

I’m having a difficult time using these. The icing keeps smearing when I remove the stencil. What am
I doing wrong? I’d really love to be able to do this!

Hi, It could be the consistency isn't right, it needs to be on the stiffer side to prevent smearing - this is really important. Also, it's important to be careful when pulling the stencil back. Hold wax paper with one hand while pulling stencil back slowly, but in one fluid motion. It takes a little practice to do this. Let us know if you have any other questions!
