Wow !! Your hard work is amazingly beautiful. I'm seeing my exact dream home happening live. Thank you so very much for sharing your journey. Your vast knowledge is appreciated as well. Blessings to you from Georgia. ❤❤❤ Binging your videos.😊
Beautiful job 👍🏻 My husband is milling some lumber today (Friday), since the weather is a bit better than yesterday. He dries some in a solar kiln. And a big hello to Archie & Lavender! 🐈🧡🐕💜
Let me just say, that as someone with board and bat buildings, here in the northeast, cluster flies have become a real issue. They hide in cracks over the winter, and wiggle their way into my house. They are outside in mass on sunny days, sitting on the sides of the barn, the shed, etc. OMG - Inside I have bug lights with sticky paper, I swat at them constantly because they zing around and get in my hair, my ears, my coffee. I was unloading the truck the other day when it was sunny out, in March, in NY, and the cluster flies were smacking me as I was carrying feed. I finally resorted to a Bonide product that is a premise spray. I did our shed doors and some other areas where they just sit in the sun, and by golly, in a few hours they weren't there any more. That was last week. Now it's snowing and there aren't any at the moment, but I have my fingers crossed that I have found a spray that works. I didn't want to resort to that with all my animals, but it is for barns....hoping it really is safe. The dogs and horses weren't near the spray. Anyway, maybe that will help someone else. Nice cabin Jerry!
Howdy brother- board and batten just goes well with a log cabin. I think it’s the perfect blend. Looking great. Hope you have a great weekend. God’s blessings to you
Once again. brother, great job. Of course, and the scripture that father has brought to mind about watching you. Do what you do. Is this where Paul says? I have been through my initiation and now I am ready for anything anywhere. Full stomach or empty stomach poverty or plenty there is nothing I can not master. With the help of the one who gives me strength. And I know that whoever it is that is seeking God and led to watch your videos. ability God gives us when we belong to him, there is nothing we can't master And you know there's nothing he Uses us for that will come back void ever so brother. Amen and Hallelujah.
Thank you. I could make them longer. I just thought people didn’t like to watch the video if they are too long. Maybe I’ll have to start doing a long and shorter version
I will start by re-editing the last two videos. I will leave the one that is up up and edit one longer. I have lots of footage but like I said I just kinda thought people liked them under 15 or 20 minutes. Thank you for the advice
I think you have the gift of making things look perfect without even trying to do so. It's not in your spirit to do badly. I wish I could spray my barn with what you used, but it has a worn out faded reddish brown stain, but that grey is the color I want it to be so it looks aged.
I'm surprised that there isn't a zoning / work permit prominently posted. I thought Lisbon Ohio required one for modifying or changing exterior coverings.
Great fit with that first board.👍 How you weathered that wood is amazing.. Did you just mix vinegar and water in that spayer and what ratios did you use??
Not unless I need to. Sometimes sealer does more harm than good. Just because if any water gets in it is locked in. Kinda like leaving the bark on the log
When you soak steel wool in vinegar, it makes a solution that changes the color of wood. You have to be careful how long the steel wall is in the vinegar though. The longer it’s in there, the stronger the solution. So it gets darker. Mine was about 5 hours and then remove the steel wall. If I would have went say 24 hours the wood would have turned black.
Maybe you should have used some house wrap or tar paper behind those furring strips to handle the moisture that will find it's way behind the board and batten wall. And yes even if you make the Board and batten wall perfectly water tight, humidity and temperature fluctuations will cause condensate to form. But then it is too late to fix that now so mute point!

@logcabinlifestyle You're welcome. Is your dining table made of walnut?

Excellent, NC USA 🇺🇸
This is awesome!!
I gotta teach my cat to do that. Siding looks really good!
Thank you. We didn’t really teach him that. It’s just something he has always done
Looks great!
We had a Carter lumber company many years ago here in Springfield Tennessee 😁

Looks good

This is the way !
Merci pour la video, c'est très jolie.
Thank you my friend
Looks great! Will you put some kind of sealer on that or just let it patina more
Not unless I need to. Sometimes sealer does more harm than good. Just because if any water gets in it is locked in. Kinda like leaving the bark on the log
@@logcabinlifestyle makes sense,thanks
Love it!
👌👍👍
I like your funnyness.
Beautiful
I like the gray color. What mix is it? I caught the vinegar, but I’m not understanding the steel wool? Ohio weather is challenging.

Nice color for the walls
I like episodes like this one. Thanks for sharing
Birds seem to approve. Sounds like one of them is singing into microphone. Showboat
They do get pretty loud from time to time
Why didn't you use Tyvek or some similar wrap?
I just didn’t want to, after all it’s mostly a log cabin
WICKED AWESOME!!!!
Thank you

What was the spray that you applied? Was it just a stain, or was it something else?
It was this
Aging wood with vinegar and steel wool

How old is the building?
It’s all of difference ages. Nothing you see was here in the early 1990s
@@logcabinlifestyle Thanks. Those hewn logs on the part of the building on the right look VERY old.
What kind of tractor is that?
It’s a Farmall cub
@@logcabinlifestyle Thanks. If you haven't already done a video on it, I think that would be interesting.
Hello. How are you? Good I hope.
I’m well.
Your birds are loud.
