The Misfits were pretty imposing-looking dudes in the early '80s. They'd constantly lift weights between tours, and I've seen anecdotes about Jerry and Doyle loading their own gear into venues and carrying their 150-pound cabinets by themselves like it was nothing, the way you or I would carry an empty briefcase. Glenn was already buff back then and only got more intense as time went on. There used to be a video on UA-cam of Samhain playing this dive of an L.A. hall called the Stardust Ballroom circa 1984, where Glenn genuinely looks like he might jump into the audience and start killing people at any moment.

I was really into danzig in the early 90s and saw them live in nottingham rock city. My local radio station played this the other day and id forgot just how fuckin brilliant they were. Theyre like a cross between sabbath, goth, the doors and elvis, it shouldnt work but it does 🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘

The year I was born still alive and loving this tune
I remember this song vividly. Listened to it a lot on cassette tape back in 1990-91'. My older sister is a huge fan of Glenn Danzig/ Misfits, that's essentially how I found out about this phenomenal, dark, rock band. In the early 90's we never would have categorized this as "goth" like we do nowadays since the genere "goth"/ goth rock wasn't commonplace until around 1995 to my knowledge and it also depend on where you lived at the time: big cities, small towns, east coast, west coast, for example, etc... 😊 I also loved the song, Twist of Cane. My sister and I would crank up the volume on the jam box when our parents left the house. Some of the best times growing up for us was listening to music that our parents didn't allow us to have. Surprisingly, we held onto our cassettes from back then and cherish them. 👍😊
nah, Goth meant The Cure, The Jesus And Mary Chain, Jesus Lizard, etc. It was an offshoot of New Wave. The whole Goth=Nine Inch Nails thing was just Americans arriving 20 years late to the party 🙂

See a lot of comments on here referring to Elvis... Glen Danzig actually did a Elvis cover album released in 2020... He actually did pretty good on some of the songs, he's just a little tonold to hit some of the vocals, woulda been even better if he did the project as a younger man... But if you're a Danzig fan, incliding Misfits and his roots it's worth listening to...
