I first came across this song sung by Caetano Veloso (I believe from the film "Habla Con El"). I was really impressed with it, so I took to the internet, as you do, to listen to it there. I found this version of the song, and.....WOW! Sorry, Sr Veloso, but this performance completely blows you away. Haven't heard it for a good few years now, out of curiosity, while listening to reactions to other favourite songs of mine, I decided to search to see if anyone had reacted to it. Yes!! Love love love it 🙂
Also for your knowledge the letter of the song talks about the love of one pidgeon (female) to other , thats why he sing cu cu rru cucu , pidgeon dont cry, (cu cu ru cu paloma (pidgeon) dont cry (no llores). At the end . Its about the love of a couple. Hope my english its not so well too, will give you a clue why he puts that emotion to the song.
Cucurrucucú Paloma (English Lyrics) They say that through the nights All he did was cry. They say that he didn't eat. All he did was drink. They swear that the same sky would shake when hearing his cries. How he suffered for her, that even in his death, he called out for her. Ay ay ay, ay ay, he sang out. Ay ay ay, ay ay, he moaned. Ay ay ay, ay ay, he sang out. Of mortal passion, he died That a sad dove, very early in the morning will sing to the lone little house with its little pair of doors. They swear that dove is nothing else but his soul. That still he waits for the wretched one to come back. Cucurrucucú, pigeon Cucurrucucú, don't cry. The rocks will never, pigeon, know of any love. Cucurrucucú, Cucurrucucú Cucurrucucú, pigeon, don't cry anymore.
0:18 It's not "Chuchurruchuchu". There's no "ch" in the word. It's Cucurrucucú. It's a hard C sound as in "cat" or "cow" and *not* a "ch" as in "Chihuahua."

Cucurrucucú, no llores
Las piedras jamas, paloma
¡Que van a saber de amores!
Cucurrucucú, cucurrucucú
Cucurrucucú, paloma, ya no llores
Thank you for dropping!
Hi Remley, would you please react to Marcelito Pamoy's Version of "The Prayer" You are doing a great job!

Cucurrucucú Paloma
(English Lyrics)
They say that through the nights
All he did was cry.
They say that he didn't eat.
All he did was drink.
They swear that the same sky
would shake when hearing his cries.
How he suffered for her, that
even in his death, he called out for her.
Ay ay ay, ay ay, he sang out.
Ay ay ay, ay ay, he moaned.
Ay ay ay, ay ay, he sang out.
Of mortal passion, he died
That a sad dove, very early
in the morning will sing
to the lone little house
with its little pair of doors.
They swear that dove is
nothing else but his soul.
That still he waits for the
wretched one to come back.
Cucurrucucú, pigeon
Cucurrucucú, don't cry.
The rocks will never, pigeon,
know of any love.
Cucurrucucú, Cucurrucucú
Cucurrucucú, pigeon,
don't cry anymore.
