- The Star Wars The Vintage Collection Haslab Mos Eisley Cantina is a huge diorama piece, but is it worth the $500 price tag? The massive set includes modular pieces to assemble the cantina, perfect for a single large display or separated in pieces for your shelf. The set also includes the Wuher action figure and the highly sought after Tonnika Sisters!

Thanks for the mention. #BackTheBar
Kudos to you for the Time for Tonnika campaign! Big fan of you!
I'm backing the deluxe version but for the price those 3 additional figures should come with it automatically.
Your 100% correct. You pay for them in the base price of the set. But Hasbros greed puts them behind stretch goals that are near impossible in the current financial climate of the country.
@@ernestmuric6719 So true! It's all about greed. Haslab should've noticed the struggle to hit 8,000 backers. I would be really surprised if we hit the first tier.
Base offering should be $299 with deluxe an extra $75!
That’s exactly the price I think it should be. I could go $350 at most for the base, but $299 feels more appropriate.
@@FanboyCantina Not saying you should do this, but if you backed the deluxe, then sold the $100 addition for $150-$200, you would be getting it for that price in the end. Just a thought.
I’ve been waiting for this play set basically all my adult life. In the 80’s I was a complete Star Wars fans and collected and kept all my figures into adulthood. With POTF2 I start collecting again, never missing a cantina alien hoping for a proper cantina play set to come.
Now it’s here, I really hope it gets backed. All 6 figures would make it a super sweet deal.
Absolutely love this. I had the original Kenner Cantina as a kid. I’d be surprised if it didn’t get backed, though all 6 seems like a stretch now.
That's awesome your dream came true. Mine was the sail barge, but I couldn't get it in Australia due to Hasbro's usual shenanigans. Enjoy your set it looks sweet.
@@ernestmuric6719 the Khetanna is absolutely the better rendered set to me. It’s a complete vehicle with play value inside.
@@FanboyCantina I agree.
I'm backing the deluxe version of this project. I have all the 3.75" cantina figures released so far and they all need a drink.
Wow! That’s awesome.
@@FanboyCantina Maybe a Super7 figure with a top hat can come around and hang with Mark Hamill.
With all the pieces laid out and the way the walls connect it looks so much like a playmobil set and when you look at it on those terms the price just seems even more outrageous. Happy for those that have been hoping for this and hope it funds.
You think this looks like Playmobil? I think you need to get some glasses
@@archmage7813 I do think it looks like playmobil and i probably do need glasses.
Back the Cantina ✊️ and I'm defo going for a multiple shelves option.... with the exterior facade on one, then interior on another etc... gonna do a vid on that soon! 🥰🙏
I also have been collecting since the 90's so have almost every figure for this I want this badly but I understand some of the people who are missing figures are a bit scared. I say back it and they will make the figures. I agree for 500 all figures should be included but dang tooling.
At the moment, I don’t plan on backing the Cantina. It seems a bit wrong not to since the name of this channel is Fanboy Cantina, but it’s a bit too steep for a set that I don’t feel as compelled to have.
The Tonnika Sisters will be worth $200 each in a year. The Yak Face from the Barge sells for $150-250 on eBay, and the only difference is that he came with a coin vs the regular version that you can still buy for $15.
True
I'm basically backing this so I can get the sisters, the price of them should skyrocket since Hasbro won't be making too many of them.
Given that it is such a high end item, all the Alcove Outer Walls should be textured/weathered. Not just the main entrance.
Dioramas could extend to outside of the cantina, using the textured/weathered walls.
Great points. It looks too clean as it is. The Lego Cantina ($400) works as a play set for the interior and mostly works as an exterior. This set feels like different pieces without much weathering at all.
@@FanboyCantina Thanks. Here in Australia, Deluxe Cantina is $999 (AUD) and Base is $750 (AUD). I would like to back it, but the price even with current exchange rate is eye-watering.
Backed the deluxe version. Definitely worth the price when you consider the cost of making a custom playset and figures of the same quality.
I got one deluxe Cantina. I will be happy if it gets backed. I have wanted a Cantina for a long time. I believe it will make it. Maybe up to Greedo, but that will be a miracle if that happens. If not they should make a 3 Pack with Greedo, Nabrun, and ARLEIL SCHOUS for sure!
I’m curious what people are going to do with the Tonnika sisters. Their launch video said there’s no plans on deck to release them otherwise. I assume that’s not forever, but they made a point to say that. If that’s the case, are there people out there backing two, just to have one to open and one to keep on card?
@@FanboyCantina At first I thought of getting two of these, but to me the price is so high that trying to get my money back in selling the three included figures would likely just break even for me or cause me to lose money. $1,000 is a lot right now especially in this economy. So I'll just stick to one. The Tonnika Sisters is a big deal in getting this and I will be opening them including Wuher.
It's at 7,700 right now with 4 days and some change to go. I expect it to fund sometime tonight. There's always a rush at the last day so I'm betting at least first stretch goal makes it. Not for me as I only buy Black Series.
It’s definitely looking good now, may even cross the Greedo tier. Do you have the Black Series Cantina Showdown set with part of the Cantina? I do like that one.
@FanboyCantina No. The thing is, I don't use Star Wars Black as Star Wars. I had a problem with Army Building and Star Wars Black solved that problem! I use Aliens and Stormtroopers for Thanos Army! Mandalorians for Kang Army. Battle Droids for 'Daughter of Kang'. Human Men for Kingpin Organization! Women for their own gang, the 'New' Female Furies!
7,242 / 8,000 as of this post. It looks like it'll make it. Definitely not their greatest haslab, but still cool.
I am backing the deluxe version. It looks spectacular.
I think the amount of backers going for the deluxe version should weigh more when it comes to the stretch goals.
Is it worth the price? The figures , on the secondary market the Tonnika sisters are gonna go for 100 a pice or more.
Yes! And it'll be worth 3-4 times that in a few years when a few more cantina patrons are released.
I think we should be getting all 6 figures if it reaches the 8 k goal since I'm not even sure if we'll get to 11 k.
All 3 would absolutely sweeten the deal. At current pace, I’m really surprised it hasn’t crossed 8k already.
Hell yeah it's worth it ,unless your a 3-D printer your self I looked into getting a Cantina 3-D printed an they was talking about thousands of dollars once done,, I'm not rich ,,I wish I could afford two but I can't So I'm backing the deluxe cantina set,,my opinion it's worth it,an for the people who aren't backing it,,don't be crying later once you miss out ,,the secondary market SCALPERS Alley eBay is going too be high ,for them figures/playset ,,,I hope we hit all the tiers ,,but I'm just hoping it's backed
I backed a standard and a deluxe. To me, this is the best best haslab to date and the ultimate display piece for my OT focused collection. I do agree with a lot of the sentiment though, Hasbro made some errors in the roll out for this: Greedo should have been included in the base price along with Wuher and the excellent Tonnika's. Labria should have been one of the unlocks.
Funded now🎉
If this hits all tiers, great we get all 6 figures. If it doesn’t hit all tiers, this will be even more rare because of the quantity made.
It will get backed. I'm hoping at least Greedo gets unlocked. I've backed the base version. I don't have the money or the space to display a deluxe version.
I'm backing both, but I really think the new 6 month delay of the GI Joe Classified Dragonfly will be devastating for The Cantina.
Yes it is, looks good and a custom made cost even more. I backed it
If I collected Star wars toys I would absolutely be all over this
A multiple billion dollar multinational toy manufacturing and entertainment holding company that crowd funds? How do people fall for this.
Addiction, stupidity. A jedi does not crave these kinds of things.
@@ernestmuric6719
It’s NOT worth 500. 572 with tax and shipping. Almost 600 dollars! That’s crAzY. I think 300-350 would have been more reasonable. That being said I backed the deluxe. They’re gouging us. If the economy wasn’t SO in the tank a lot more would have sold. It’s going to be a rare item since only 14,000 were sold. Those Tonika sisters will probably sell for 2-300 a pair in the aftermarket. Not to mention each extra booth could probably sell for 100 bucks a piece for those who got the base, and now want the deluxe. I hope they make a Sand Crawler, Death Star, Gauntlet Shuttle, Imperial Shuttle, and my biggest fantasy The Fandor Haulcraft next.
I just want a Death Star. If they even just remade the same Kenner one, I’d buy it in an instant.
@@FanboyCantina I got the original one complete off eBay a couple years ago. I had had it as a kid. :) lots of fun. Would love an updated version.
Yes it is. Next question.
i dont' like that it doesnt' have a floor, and there are no pegs for figs to stand on or for tables and chairs to snap onto and i would want the cups to be magnetic so they stick to the tables and bar when you pick it up, but you can't even pick this up, it comes apart at every point, it wont' stay together, that sucks, that isn't a playset, playsets are one big piece, or two at most
That’s why for me the cups and glasses are inconsequential. They’d fall over at the shake of a shelf, I’d lose them, and be annoyed.
If I collected Star Wars, I would back the deluxe of this. I hope it gets funded. And I'm not big into HasLab stuff. I collect Transformers. I do great deal of 3D printing. It is time consuming to make and put time of printing and painting, yes I think its worth the price tag. It may be little over but little.
If there was a Mister Moooose action figure it would be worth it!!
Knowing about Mister Moose is deep knowledge.
Yessss gooood
Hasbro needs to redo it.
Besides the action figures, I can see someone making their own Cantina with found toy items (goodwill/garage sales) and with a little paint.....and making it a lot cooler for lot less money.
The force, has spoken here.
This looks great, I’m part of the 50% of voters who are a no go, even for how great it looks.
I agree. There are customizers like 2797 Studios and people with 3D printers that can create their own backdrops. Hasbro has even produced parts of the bar before, both in TVC and even Black Series scale. I’m sure the Tonnika sisters will go for a premium on eBay.
this is a little more plastic than the tantive hall way, and 3 figures would be 60 dollars so this should be 160 at least and 260 at most
No it's not worth 500. It's barely worth 100
Toy companies are playing the adults now. Collectors are clowns
😊👏👏👏👏👏😀
Not worth the asking price. Reaching Tier #1 at this stage is unlikely. So basically, anyone shelling out 500 bones for 3 Exclusive figures is laughable. If it reached Tier 3 (6 figures) then that would be a different story. 👍🏻
No toy should have a cost to that of a household appliance like a dishwasher or washing machine. No thanks.
Barbie Dreamhouse is Bigger with Sound & Light and cost half price of the Cantina. Not Thanks Haslab! 😐
LED lights would’ve been great on the Haslab, and there are photos from Hasbro where small LEDs can be used under the tables. If there was a small push button that played the Cantina theme, that would’ve made in a must for me. None of the past Star Wars Haslabs have had light or sound effects, but sound would’ve absolutely sealed the deal.
So much Money and no Light and Sound effects.
I know why HasLab doesn't do that, because Women make the decisions at Haslab Marketing. Women have no place in this job.
I played Star Wars with Boys in the 80s and no Girl was a Star Wars fan. Today the Women at HasLab do everything wrong. Imagine them in front of Jabba's Sailing Barge with Light & Sound and Music like in the Movie. My AT-AT from 2009 has such a great Sound Module.
It can't be the price. It's the bad decision of the Women who are now in charge, see The Acoylte. With Steve Sansweet, this crap wouldn't exist today. 😔
I disagree that it’s about women. Price is a major driver. If it was $50-100 less, it would’ve been an easier sell for more collectors. The Haslab model is more explicitly for the adult collector, different from the toys of a decade ago. This is the first Haslab though that lacks the play aspect, more distinctly intended to serve as a backdrop for a display.
@@FanboyCantina i am 55 and Star Wars Fan from 1977! It is still a Toy for me.
I can make anyone a handmade knife for $500
Or you can buy this piece of plastic toy set that ur kids will use more then you
$500 is not worth it… am I still buying it? Yes, yes I am.
Love it
@@ernestmuric6719 lol yes I do
No its not worth 500 imo
not worth it, dont backing, waste of money.
Hasbro is Greedo
