I had my fingers crossed for Shadows! I refuse to let go of my optimism; I can't wait to see it exceed all expectations!

I guess you have faith in a corporation. Well, that never goes so well, but who knows, maybe Ubisoft might create something other than a formulaic run around of an open world game that gamers have been craving for. I guess keep your optimism, and I'll keep my pessimism. You always need a sceptic. How else are you going to be told, "I told you, so"?

It’s not even out yet, hating on Ubisoft because every other nerd does is kinda lame . Seriously the game is incomplete still so why judge it so soon? People who are set on hating things before they come out suck

If they wanted a black samurai, afro samurai was the logical choice, and Ubisoft said, "Get used to not owning your games." Also, go check out how Japan feels about this game. It's rare a company angers a whole nation. Also, they could have gone the farcry primal route for an African led protagonist with somebody like Shaka Zulu this game is just inauthentic. Also, nerds run the world activists nowadays seem to feel they can entertain, and its simply not working

@@leftstickgamer What’s the difference between Afro samurai and Yasuke? He was one that we don’t know much about.

@jdotcarter8882 Yasuke sticks out like a sore thumb in feudal Japan, meaning stealth is out of the way. Afro samurai is a world where their other black characters and they go at it. Also, Afro Samurai has a way cooler aura as he is a main protagonist from the get go, however Yasuke is a sideline character

Just the trailers caused a huge reaction because so much about this game is insulting. As long as they don't change core parts of the game, the backlash will continue.

Its simple they say its from true historical so you had google right? Try search yourself who is yasuke
2nd their setting from background, set up field is wrong if they had say they do research then they should knew about it
3rd sigil of symbol of each house i believe they need permit for use it even at game
4th the armor yasuke wear too grand even nobunaga would kill the smither.
Its not about skin colour.. They say from historical then do as history say.
And i dont like alphabet people so yeah like dragon age veilguard who the hell start conversations with saying im non binary? Are you out of your mind?
We had only 2 gender female and male., look at your below does you had pole or hole?
Oow it just a video game.. Then dont say it from true historical at beginning.
Dont cover some other mistake just say its common if it videogames and they the developer so they can fo whadever you want..
Then us as buyer can do whatever we want too.. Give critics, not buy it so who cares if they goes down right?😂

Yes, let's keep it historical like the female yokozuna. Where did she come from. In Japan today, even women aren't allowed to become yokozunas. I just hate it when Western devs use other peoples culture to push their modern dayisms 😂

Which game you think is authentic o Zombies game some games are of future so how can any dev can predict a exact future so how is that authentic just stop hating or spreading bad things about any game. Game are as for fun at any how they should not be as same as it happened in past or future. From 2007 every Assassin's creed game they always put a disclaimer as all Assassin's creed fans knows

    • @leftstickgamer

Assassin's Creed is a game based on history, I repeat based on history. Also, they gaslit as into believing that Yasuke was a real historical Samurai. There's good fiction and bad fiction, and a gender swapped, race swapped story is simply bad fiction. You're welcomed to enjoy it if it's your cup of tea. However, some of us need real experiences. That's why a game like rdr2 can never be compared to whatever slop Ubisoft makes nowadays.

@leftstickgamer I am just saying I haven't seen any game putting disclaimer so let see they would put some modification on disclaimer it is good habit for any game you are saying Assassin's creed is historical base game so on where there is a assassin name Altair or Ezio auditore de Firenze they always put on disclaimer that characters all fictional just open any Assassin's creed game and read that disclaimer carefully events may hitting at that period but each and every character which we play are fictional characters. So here Yasuke why so hate and finding pin in sand just enjoy the game

@leftstickgamer and RDR 2 is a nice and fantastic game but what about climbing on each and every building and jumping from above where Arthur die after jumping from first floor what nonsense

    • @leftstickgamer
      @leftstickgamer  22 години тому

Hey, just go do your research, and you'll see that they placed real historical characters and events in the game, and yes, the brotherhood is fictional, but is a vehicle to explore a real historical world or real historical characters. This game has always been marketed as a historical game where you can see Ceasar being killed, the third crusade, the rise of the borgias

If you need to play parkour Uncharted, if you need zombies, play Days Gone, and it used to be if you needed history, you'd play assassin's creed

Do you honestly think theres no reason for the backlash? If you really think that, then you are just as ignorant as Ubisoft. Regardless of skin color, this game is insulting religion and caused a editwar on Yasukes English Wikipedia page, hell even the meaning of the word Samurai got altered there.

@jdotcarter8882 Assassin's Creed had built its name on historicity, and there are cosmetic changes that you can go with. However, when representing a culture or a people, isn't it better to use the natives.

@@leftstickgamer the main antagonist in Assassin‘s Creed revelations and in Assassins Creed Black flag or Valhalla were not native to their lands, where’s the smoke for those games? AC shadows does actually have native protagonist who is the Assassin in AC shadows. On top of that Yasuke was featured in Japanese created productions such as omega forces samurai warriors 5, Team ninja’s Nioh 1 and 2 and rise of ronin, being depicted as a samurai!

He wasn't some native American slave who was the first mate to a famous pirate. And if he was he would be an NPC at the most. Being featured or depicted as a Samurai doesn't mean playing as the chief protagonist. No history, no great origin story, no connection to the world his in, his a fish on dry land

@@jdotcarter8882 The Viking invasion of England was real history. Yasuke in Shadows isn't. And Yasuke is a real historical figure and should be judged as such. So why is he the playable male protagonist? We all know why... Especially when Japanese history has real heroes and ninjas. Samurai like Gamo Ujisato who is Nobunaga's most powerful warlord and strongest warrior. Wakisaka Yasuharu is one of Nobunaga's distinguished generals. Or Honda Tadakatsu the Sengoku legendary warrior, one of Tokugawa's Four Heavenly Kings and the GOAT samurai. These samurai are real history. Yasuke should have been a NPC.
