She is so intelligent ! I failed miserably so many times!!! nobody told me timing of ginger juice( enzyme)!! This is crucial !! Thanku for telling me👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼🙏🙏
I didn't peel it because I'm lazy ROFL Love that honesty!!! :)
This was very comforting. It's great as a light and quick dessert. Thank you!
Wow! I love ginger... I never heard of anything like this. So quick and easy. Thank you, as always! ❤️
Just made this! Delicious! I've seen so many videos on how to make this and failed so many times. But with your instructions, for the first time, it was such a success! Thank you so much :)
I've been searching for the best way to make this recipe for a while. You make it look so easy. And this is so delicious. Thank you.
This is one of my favorite dessert. I make it once in awhile. Glad you are showing it.
I just made this. Really delicious thank you💖
What an amazing recipe, have never seen this, as I love ginger, this is a must try for me. Thank you for sharing your wonderful recipes
I love ginger everything. I have never heard of this and will give it a try. I just made it this evening a few days after my initial comment. It is so delicious, but you have to love ginger. Both my daughters really liked it. The pudding formed very nicely. Really warmed my tummy. Great for when the weather is cold.
Love it!!!
Can't wait to try this ressipee!
Fantastic channel too!
Mine turned out great! Thank you for your easy recipe. Good job with your video too!
Yesssss! This looks so good!
I'm looking forward to trying this dessert. Thanks for sharing!
Since you posted this video I have seen 5 videos on UA-cam with the same recipe. I never heard of ginger pudding until your video. Looks like you are a trend setter. Making it today 🐼✌💗
Thanks for the great tips and idea!
I will definetely try this! Thank you ❤
I like reading menus online and then getting the overview from you. We're going out to a Chinese restaurant tomorrow that has been open in our city since 1935.
OMG! I'VE BEEN CRAVING THIS! GERN MO LAI!
A mazing! Trying this tonight!🙏🏻💕Than you!!
This is so nice! You have to love the bite of fresh ginger, obviously, which my family does. I had no idea that fresh ginger had this amazing property, so thank you so much for this recipe. I used whole milk from a local farm, and it was delicious and wobbly and fun to eat.
I make a 'tincture' of ground ginger in Vodka and I noticed the white powder that floats to the bottom... didn't know it was starch! Excellent morning drink in some OJ... really warms you up.
Great recipe Mandy. I will try this recipe soon. I love ginger!
This looks delicious! I love ginger.
Very interesting ideas on this channel. Thank you.
This looks yum! Will surely try this
I tried it with reduced sweetness and it worked. Yummy! Tks for detailed instructions.
This is awesome. Will try!
Really delicious desert.
And it makes me want more dim sum recipe to accompany with the pudding.
thanks , this is delicious classic, will try!
Will give this a try. Thanks my friend.
Gracias!, me.encanta
You are a super teacher!! I have learned a few things from you!! Made it right away, and it turned out perfect like yours!! 1cup milk to 1 1/2TB ginger juice, I used condensed milk instead sugar! Again 🙏🙏🙏👍
How easy does this look?
Thanks again, for simple yet tasty recipes!!
I tried this recipe with blackstrap molasses and it works. Thank you so much for this recipe. 😊
So good!
So cool I can’t wait to try
Thank you for all your hard work! Your recipes work!
Edit: I have made this many times now. Worked every single time. Even without a thermometer, just heat the milk until you see smoke rising off the top. That's enough heat. Then pour it into the ginger.
This really tastes so great in the mouth. Texture feels like solid water, lol. I tried all types of milk, lactose free, regular toned, full fat ... works with everything. But ... do not use condensed milk. It works, but it turns out so heavy, you will feel sick after eating just a few spoonfuls...
Won't it affect out stomach issue milk is boiled completely or should we use fully boiled cooled milk and then again boil to 70 c
Fresh definitely makes the biggest difference! Wound up drinking a delicious ginger milk- will try again with fresh ginger
Wow am definitely trying this
Worked great!a little honey drizzled over, yum
I have never made that before and have not had ginger before in my food, but want to buy some and will remember this recipe and try making this dessert.
I have the exact same kitchenaid hand mixer even the same color love it
This looks yummy!
Wow, gotta try this recipe
Pudding for breakfast?.... I’m in. Subscribed.
I love this! my mom makes this for me
We are definitely trying this
Nice! I love gingery things, going to try this as soon as possible!
Wow, thank you for other gingery things. 🤭

I sometimes mix naturally fermented Yoghurt with ginger marmelade. Love that taste
I love you souped up recipe s
I had no idea the ginger juice was supposed to be fresh-squeezed, so I just bought a bottle of stuff at the store. Alas, though it failed to curdle properly, it still ended up being a pretty tasty drink!
Interesting. I’ll give it a try.
I would love to see more dessert recipes!
Thank you Mandy
always makes me smile when you say hi everyonnnnneeeeeeee....lol
My daughter's boyfriend showed me this just a week or so ago but he said it did not turn out quite as well as when his mom makes it, he had not put sugar in it though. It was a little thick but not enough he said. I thought it still tasted nice, has a spicy taste to it, yummy. I'm going to try this recipe cause it was so good and I want to be successful when I do ☺ thank you!!
love your content and cheerful auraa ❤
it's delicious. it was a little hard pressing the ginger juice, and I wish it was a little bit thicker, but I think I can try another time and it all will work better. thank you for the recipe!
I so have to try this not a big pudding fan But a big fan of ginger .
Simple and yummmy
Hello Souped Up Recipes(^^) Well! I think this ginger milk pudding video I think that it is beneficial. I enjoyed watching! Thank you for your wonderful time!
I was sceptic, cos I can fuck up every recepie in first try and I have mixed feelings whether I like ginger or not but this was to interesting and easy that I decided to try. As I don't have termometr I just let milk on stove to the point it was hot on skin but not burning-hot and it worked perfectly and honestly it's one of the most delicious thinks I ever eat
waw thats real science right there ama try experiment this
Awesome 😎
Interesting, never knew ginger could substitute starch for pudding. Just made the recipe, pretty tasty and nourishing!
It's not the starch that thickens the milk, it's an enzymatic process which denatures the milk proteins in a similar way to how yoghurt is formed.
Very nice❤
I'm going to try, probably delicious anyways even if I fail
MY LITTLE 'ANGEL'!!!!!!!!! MUAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH! LOV U MANDY!!!!!!!!
That's good
Strange. It looks like yoghurt. But, I must try, it looks interesting.
Ty
It’s too damn tasty
I loved it 😊
I could listen to you read the phone book.
Hi little cutie girl.. thanks for uploading.
You are amazing! No GDL or gelatin
For everyone who wondering whether it can be done with soymilk. East meets kitchen here on youtube has a recipe. She does same method but you steam it for 10mins afterward you pour milk into ginger juice . Steam until just set. Hope this helps.
I have tried this recipe, and my ginger was not too fresh, but the taste is great anyway, I will do it
It's yummy. Sally G.
Publix milk! I guessed you were a west coast girl. Gotta love Publix.
I didn’t realize Publix was also on the west coast. I thought it was a FL/Southern chain.
Do you have any recipes that use the fresh young coconut from the freezer or in a jar? I was thinking of just adding it to regular tapioca pudding... and reduce the milk.
Hello Mandy!! Since you make this recipe, can you also make 双皮奶 as well? I tried to make it but failed every time, I don't know what break it. Please help!! We didn't have anything similar in Thailand and I miss it so much.
Lovely! I cant wait to try. Is it good cold, too? I imagine it would be like yogurt or something, no?
You should eat it when it is hot or warm. If you let it get cold, it will develope a bitter taste.
Nice. Have you tried with dry milk?
Hi Mandy, I'm ultimately lazy so can I replace the fresh ginger juice with ginger powder?
Do you think it's OK to add some sticky rice or risotto rice for a little more texture or is the pudding to light? I'm going to check that out and see what happens. Next stop my local Asian Market in Lancaster PA .🐼✌💗
Hi Mandy, I wonder if honey or other sweetener can be substitute for the sugar, thanks
Hi! You have the best cooking channel ever! I am unsure if you were born to teach, cook, inspire or entertain? Or all of the above!? Such talent! I feel like you are a genuine teacher who wants people to learn. I think you are amazing! Will you have a cook book?
I am wondering, can I make a request or suggestion: Can you please do few more Hong Kong recipes? I was in Hong Kong few years ago, fell in love with beautiful dishes but I can't quite find authentic dishes here in the west. They are all too sweet or just not the same. One being, i am not sure exact name, but steamed custard bun. Its like a desert. It looks like an egg... white soft bread and yellow mild sweetness inside. But Its very hard to find here, and when i do its extremely sweet and sickening. Its just not the same! Same with HK tea and coffee! What is the mystery secret to HK tea and coffee? I haven't tasted anything like it in china towns in the west. Its always different. I am not even sure what made their teas unique. It had some magic flavour i don't even understand!!!?? Mixed with Green tea or Jasmine???? Whats the secret? Milk? Also sesame deserts!? And i am not sure what those rolls are called, with different fillings, steamed rice flour pancakes rolled with different ingredients! I wasn't entirely sure how to eat those either!
Oh yes, I do secretly enjoy learning from you proper eating technique. Can you do more videos on how to politely eat Asian food? I find that noodles slip out of chop sticks from soup. I cant find nice chop sticks... where to buy nice chop sticks? Also my hand gets tired from eating with chop sticks... i noticed you hold the chop sticks somehow... differently then i do. I mean, i can eat for 1 hour using chop stick... but i get sore hand and fingers... lots of strain. Any teaching methods on etiquette and techniques on how to eat politely, soups, noodles ... rice etc.
Great Channel! And I love your personality... happy, cheeky, wise, serious and funny! Great combination! I love watching your vidoes, very relaxing. So happy there is no music or crazy sounds and pictures like for teenagers. This is just... pure business art! So... relaxing. Its like 1 on 1 class with a friend or ... chef!? Personal instructional videos. Very relaxing.. like we are your friends invited to your kitchen to see how you cook and learn! Amazing!
P.S. My family was mind blown by my stir fried pork! You should have seen their eyes! "What did you do to the meat? Its so soft inside yet cooked on outside?" Even I never tasted anything like it in my life! Mind blown! Usually my meat ends up dry! This was.... wowwwww! Thank you! I hope with time and more practice, I will get better! I am not that good... but I enjoy it! (I cheated with store bought dumpling wrappings ..shh ;) ill make them one day from scratch! But atm i am so slow with cooking!)
I just note she has a video of making streamed custard bun. I guess you may able to find some frozen ones from some of the oriental grocery stores. I guess most of the dim sum restaurants in the big cities/China Town would serve this too. There are quite many UA-cam videos about Hong Kong milk tea in English as well.
Not sure if there’s Marks & Spencer (a British multinational retailer) near your place. Its Extra Strong Tea with evaporated milk would resemble (of course not be the same) the HK milk tea. Hope it helps.
Welcome to revisit HK when the Covid is over. Stay safe and healthy 🍀
Can I use soy milk or cashews milk or almond milk instead?
❤❤❤❤
Is it possible to make it without sugar or is it required for setting? I don't eat sugar at all.
Can I use Almond milk, or coconut milk or cream instead?
Hi,will fresh milk work?Thanks
👏👏👏
Hi! Do you know if this would work using almond or coconut milk?
I wondered too but I think the reason that this pudding and simple cheese making [using lemon juice in scalded milk] works are because of the milk protein: casein. This is not present in plant based 'milks'. Sadly :-(
Can you do this with almond milk and oat milk ect
❤️
Will this work with soy milk or almond milk? Thanks for sharing or recipe!
As a ginger myself, I approve!
do you approve this message? lol
@@johnson12379 lol sure why not
