"Repeat Test" sounds to me like they were testing out repeating textures. No idea why it seems to be only the floor from Traverse Town's 2nd District, it might've just been a random map file they had their hands on.
Eraqus was from Musashi : Samurai Legend confirmed. That's why he's themed after Samurai, and the Land of Departure/Castle Oblivion was originally this world.
@Timothy45 Honestly no, I understand why this was cut now because Sora never visited here, the only way this place being here would make sense is if Roxas was there for a long while
Lol I'm just waiting for someone to somehow use the data model of Riku and his fighting style to somehow incorporate it into KH1 once the PC port comes about
Man my heart skipped a beat after seeing and hearing Musashiden II in Kingdom Hearts! I was really hoping for Musashi to be at least a part of Kingdom Hearts when I was younger and this is probably the closest one I can get
Hey, with RepeatTest (the weird Traverse Town one) I wonder, is that a basic form used in early development of KH1? It wouldn’t make sense to be a beta for this game since they already had the assets. I bet they ported it over by accident.
I love it how all of those maps you've showcase actually look like their worlds, but in the actual game all we get is the worlds music and blocks with the worlds texture on it. XD
First, I'd like to appreciate your editing for each video. They are all done so well, including the thumb nails! Could you please make a video of going to the deleted room in End of the World Kingdom Hearts I. It was supposed to be another boss fight room.
I plan to remake all my room mod videos and make videos for every game that I still haven't covered, included KH1. Make sure to stick around, I'll have them out eventually! :)
@@soulsolis3096 Well I'm only 31% done so far but most of it I can do by myself. I'm not sure how to effectively level grind or get all of Sora's enemy cards though.
@@GordieKat For Level grind with Sora, I just go to Castle Oblivion (the world card) and use in order Freeze, Quack, Mega Flare, and Tornado for wizards. I'll maybe add Magnet Spiral or Holy. Of course, Castle Oblivion is the best place for EXP, Use room cards that make the enemy receive so much damage by striking them first or maybe use one that sleeps them. The aeiu Castle Oblivion room might’ve been a beta build for the floor tiles (maybe they’re the same; I can’t remember) and the vowels were probably on the pillars to test the transparency, layering, and movement that the pillars in the final build showcase.
I looked up that Musashi game. It looks pretty cool. Some action RPG on the ps2 about a samurai. There's another one in the same series for PS1. Thank you for introducing that to me, I want to play that now. Edit: Found it for cheap on Amazon. Can't wait for it to arrive.
It makes you think with the 2nd district area if they were actually gonna make you roam around the place like in kh1 but with also the combat of Re: com tho it wouldn't make sense since the field section is mostly based around being in a box locatiom with each room changing with the cards
Man this is a cool discovery. Maybe when the other files come out you can do a version of the game with Deep Jungle in it. Also I loved the work you and Everglow did.
Btw, in the re:chain of memories music files, there's some music that shouldn't be in the game due to being introduced in kh2 and that is the port royal field and battle music
RepeatTest to me sounds like it was used as a place to test converting maps used in the previous game to be used again, a place for them to remap the area piece by piece, see what still works and what doesn't from the old game with the new systems added and adjust where needed. Thus its a repeat of areas used before to test new things in it.
Marluxia’s final battle 14:10 should’ve been explorable similar to Ansem and Xemnas especially since his third encounter was exclusive for the remake anyways, which means no limitations from the GBA :(
Please give us the option to totally mute audio of any kind in Kingdom Hearts 1.5 & 2.5 for PC. I personally need to completely remove the music since I have to record in-game video material to edit. By totally removing the music I could add the soundtracks later in post production, which I cannot do at the moment..
I wish com had something like this after u finish the game because all the other worlds platforms were so repetitive and boring. A secret boss would be a nice addition too. The only thing that made me not really bored from this game was larxene and I guess the sleights u get when you’re leveling up
After having done some quick searches online it seems the team that made Re:CoM also made Samurai Legend. So they might have used the assests for testings or ported them by accident I’m guessing.
Tbh I find it to be very creepy. I’m not sure if it’s due to the emptiness, the music, or what, but I’d be surprised if the developers were actually considering having that map be used in the final game. I know in one of the Spyro titles on PS2, you could actually find an entire map of Hogwarts from Harry Potter in the game’s files. I think in this particular case, the developers never intended for Spyro to travel to Hogwarts, as the reason why it is present in the files was for testing purposes.
@@UndertakerU2ber the texture strangly fit the kh style before reading where it came from I thought it was a lost stage that happens before cob or after with Riku
@@TheDarkFuryKnight That's true. Don't worry, Sora walking around Wellspring Woods isn't real, it can't hurt you. Sora walking in Wellspring Woods: For real, that is so friggin surreal, seeing any Samurai Legend Musashi content at all, much less hiding as a test world in Re:Com. Now all we need is for Sora to pick up Kairi and start using her to attack enemies, and it'll be a perfect recreation! (If anyone knows what part I'm referring to, I'll be surprised)
It would be cool if their could be someone that could incorporate the sleights from re chain to kh 1 for sora and riku. Espically since the magic is improve in this game.
Musashi and some other NES game are the only games Osaka has made before a KH game. I really don't know why Square would undermine the series by giving the game to some inexperienced developer. Osaka quality never left Musashi quality level of work and that game was not good. Quality of KH games went down hill after they mishandled the series.
Osaka team though really outdid themselves with kh3. Just with this one game they got sooo much better than in BBS or DDD. I think all they needed was a proper engine and equipment to work with. Especially with these combo modifiers from the update, the critical mode and the data boss dlc they really showed what they are capable of to the point that the gameplay is even better than kh2 fm in one way or another. The databoss fights were so well designed and the gameplay was just amazing for that. Once they nail the parts that are missing from the kh2 Team, the gameplay will be almost perfect
Kh secrets never cease to impress me, thank you for all the things you do for kh and community man
