So funny how English commentators talk about Mhairi Black as if she’s from the scheme. Her dad was a teacher & she came from Ralston (small middle class enclave in Renfrewshire). She she went to Glasgow university. She isn’t who you think she is
People think of Renfrewshire and think of Paisley. They hear a Glasgow accent and think of Govan or the Gorbals of old. It's similar with the accents of the ex-industrial North of England, such as Mancunian, Liverpool etc.
Shes a privileged modern day leftie
So what are you saying? She only uses this language to strike a chord with the voters?

Listening to Mhairi Black when she was an MP, I always found her to be a breath of fresh air. Amusing, erudite and expert at cutting through the smarmy, condescension, especially of the Tory MPs. We need more of her ilk rather than the public school, self serving mediocrities infesting politics at the present time.
It is reported elsewhere that her breath was rather rank!
I always cringed with embarrassment every time she spoke. To think that that was representing Scotland and it's people was an absolute disgrace.
She wasn't the only one either. Blackford was a joke!

I don’t recall any discussion of the poor legacy the SNP have left in Scotland.
The discussion is about Mhairi retiring from Westminster, not about how things are run in Edinburgh.
Inward investment is very high suggesting confidence in our economy.
Homocide rates have come down by a third.
Our Universities continue to rise in uk and world rankings.
We have the lowest rates of child poverty in the UK.
Many less strikes w.g the Junior Doctors settled back in July in Scotland.
And the SNP government isn't going g anywhere.

I like Mhairi, she seems like she’s got a good heart. But she also seems like she hasn’t grown much in the last ten years…you can’t tell much in a wee interview, I know, but she seems beholden to her ‘identity’ and where she comes from…like not growing up is somehow a mark of authenticity. That’s what I thought when I was 20 as well, but not when I was 30
the final difference between Mhairi and most MPs ... they have their next steps all planned out ... with their mates in business / charities ... whilst Mhairi is waiting!

Incredible decline in the standard of people as MPs in my lifetime. Black is a prime example of this decline.
Change will only ever come from a very strong person driven by conviction.
MPs are chosen by constituency party members. Yes in the 1970s the vast majority of candidates would have been middle aged white men.
I'll stick democracy and so will Britain.
Example of the decline? That would be the majority of tory and labour MP's infesting westminster
I'd say she was a vast improvement on Cameron , DRoss, Truss, Boris, Cleverly, Farage , Diane Abbot, Starmer, et al ..............

I think Labour’s Lord George Foulkes summed it up well in a Tv interview. He stated that every public service in Scotland is far better than its counterpart in England. The interviewer queried, isn’t that a good thing ? Foulkes reply, but the SNP have done it on purpose.

What is Mhari’s biggest achievements in politics. ! Nothing , she acheived nothing but enriching herself with Taxpayers money through the expense system, good riddens .
