I'm a U of I Alumni and I am grateful there are detectives like Eric. Poor Girl killed by a monster. Great work by the Police and the FBI. Surprised this detective did not jump across the table and punch the criminal in the interrogation interview.
This detective was an absolute beast like how John Wick character answers the phone call and gets to the point crisply! I could feel how emotional he was about the safety of the girl assuming she was kidnapped but he had to have known after just 30 minutes, she died at the hand of a lonely SOB psycho simp
The U of I Detective conducted the interview and was able to produce results MUCH more effectively than even the other Law Enforcement Agent in the room with him! Local, County, State, and Federal investigators can learn ALOT watching that one particular interrogation. He should be recruited, to the FBI or something.
These techniques are well known at this point. I think most of these people who agree to these interviews think that they are going to outsmart the detectives, or they are on a fishing expedition and get caught up. Either way, they're entertaining.
just because you like Asian women doesn't mean you have an Asian fetish. By definition a fetish is a sexual attraction for an object. An Asian woman is a human being. Just because you have a preference for brown hair or blonds, doesn't mean you have a brunette or a blond fetish.
Any law enforcement accross the US can request FBI assistance that is for one. The second reason and asked the detective mentioned in this interview when it was established that this was a kidnapping the federal government has co-jurisdiction with local authorities with kidnapping cases, murder for example is not a federal crime per se so they would not have tried him in a federal court for murder. the reason why ultimately speaking the federal government was given sold their jurisdiction to try the murderer in this case is simply because the departments were small and they felt the resources of the federal government would best serve in trying and convicting this murderer. large and well-equipped police agencies with thousands of officers like the NYPD and the LAPD would likely have not needed nor sought the FBI assistance in this case, and large police jurisdictions generally speaking the FBI is only called for assistance with regards to Terror investigations and in cases in which it is easier to prove Federal rather than local charges and thus jail the defendant.
This detective did a great job interviewing Christensen.
This guy is a class act. Thank God for his professionalism.

It was a UPD patrol officer that blew this case wide open. Let’s keep it real.
Interrogation where the rest of his compliance
in the interview this dude said he was 45 lol no fkn way this dude is at least like 55
Eh.
This guy's not a dumpster checker, I got it dude, great police work, what a sad story.
The FNG is probably the one to search the dumpster and follow Christensen around all day.
Yeah that was an egotistical remark if I’ve ever heard one.
Thanks for informing us about how you nab criminals.
Brilliant interrogation. Brendt is a ghoul.
Is it a good idea to give away the game, little wonder the pros keep their mouth shut.! But good interview.

He didn’t give away any brilliant secrets
This interviewer really seems to lack common sense. You can tell the detective is frustrated by his series of dumb questions

Am I the only one who sees the pimple?
nope
That’s a zit on a zit. The circumference on that thing has to be 1.5 inches
@@1.4.3.seattle I've had a zit that big on my ass before, and it hurt to sit down. Can't imagine having one like that on the chin.

Why did the FBI get called in over a normal missing person?
She was a international student from China
Nothing normal about a missing person

I'm assuming the Chinese embassy got in touch with the State Department.
The nosy Chinese sticking their noses in other folks business as usual
I will tea bag this detective and would lawyer up ASAP. He’ll be picking springs out of his teeth before he had a chance to trick me.
🏋️that’s a tea bag
do you know what "tea bag" means?
