Keegan has more is bigger faster stronger. Domas mid-range looks much improved. DeRozan's shot looks silky smooth. Seems like DeMar is going to be the most efficient shooter in the NBA this year.
The spacing still being there with DeMar. All those lazy national NBA “experts” going to be eating crow on the “Kings spacing will be cramped with DeRozan” takes.
Mo Mo..let Deuce be excited!!! I love it, DEUCE! KEEGAN IS TRULY ADDING DEPTH TO HIS GAME ON BOTH SIDES OF THE BALL. DEFINITELY SOMETHING TO BE EXCITED ABOUT!!
One thing I noticed that it seems the team is not playing as fast as they are in the regular season. They were trying out things against GSW to see if some things could work. I can see them turning up the tempo and their defense around December. I'm really excited for this team.
Is it bad that I just wanna see the domas derozan DHO like 25 times a game 😂 it’s so good like derozan can just get an open shot from his spot or get a good pass off if help comes
Could it be that Domas learned that confidence and midrange mechanics from Demar during their workouts and practices? Who better to teach Domas than the midrange wizard himself?
Lot of good stuff last night… first clip you get the Zoom action (pindown into a DHO).. will be “unguardable” this season.. especially when you get to the point where Demar curls and then the shooter comes off the handoff Then we get the next clip Fox 45 cuts while there is a slot BS going on… that was a Kings staple last year. 45 cut weakside on a BS so it creates a double gap for a guy to attack Love that SAC is incorporating some “Wraps”.. where in a DHO if they’re playing over you just tight curl Sabonis and the lob/pass will be there late and over the top
Tbh I don’t think the Kings will get any further than last season. Even with Demar Kings lack depth in their bench altogether. Too many guards on this team like this isn’t going anywhere. By the time your getting cooked by a weak Warriors team combined with refs betting the Kings for under it’s always gonna result in a L. Hand offs are no longer the meta the Three Open catch and shoot is what every winning team is doing rn here in preseason. It’s time for Brown to rethink his strategy and Monty to make moves coming into this season.
I dont think Lyles, Monk, Huerter, McLaughlin and Len is bad depth. They're still a flawed team but the offense should be pretty potent & defense took a huge step last year with Ellis, Keegan and Fox.
@@DeuceandMo Can’t always rely on Starters to win games when the bench isn’t that much greater. Monk is solid but can’t say about the others. Neither Huerter nor Lyles will make any differences as both underperformed entirely and have no defense prowess. Devin Carter is a ? The Kings rn lack in perimeter D and knowing that they also are bad on offensive plays as they reset way too much allowing defenses to adjust resulting in tough contested shots and drives, and even running out the clock. The plays never changes as well it’s stagnant and everyone watches the ball while no one is cutting or spacing nor neither helping their teammates when trapped and pls get easier shots and communicate! Fouls are also another problem as well as they need to better play D without committing unnecessary contact. What did both Championship teams had last season… a solid bench who can defend and score alike. I’d just hate to see that the “Fox and the Ox” and Keegan might not last much longer if they cannot clinch a playoff berth this season and if they don’t win it’ll be rebuild before the Duo turns 30 and most likely knowing Sac might even trade Keegan out of desperation to title chase or get picks in return.
3 of our defensive bench unit are out with injuries while also having Huerter out who could initiate some plays. That's why the second half most of the guys are just like headless chickens roaming the court trying to do something.
@DeuceandMo We still have to work with the current squad while the rest of the bench players recover. We need them to at least keep us in the game when they play. Hopefully, the rest of the players will recover quickly, but it doesn't seem like it. Devin Carter seems like he will be out for a while (at least half the year). Huerter and Llyles probably are out for more than a couple of weeks (after season begins). The starting lineup and a few bench players are good for games, but we need more players to step up. The second half looked sloppy, including the Warriors, but the Kings bench was worse in the second half. Exception of Ellis 00 who played well. I am sure we will be fine with the starting lineup, but to contend for playoffs and the stacked West, we also need a solid bench.
Unless it's garbage time in a blowout, those players more than likely will never be on the court without at least one of Sabonis/Fox/DeRozan/Monk, even Jordan McLaughlin as a facilitator would have probably made things a little better. So, yeah, they're bench players for the Kings, but even with injuries that's not what the bench unit is going to look like at all during the season.
What stood out to you?

When Draymond got a foul call and free-throws and still complained to the ref about it...

DeMar easily the best scorer
The communication between Fox, DeRosen, and Sabonis
Even though Demar has only played 1 game in a Kings uniform, he has already become one of my favorite player of our time.
hahaha i love it
Man it feels good to have Kings basketball again
Sure does

Watching Demar going prefect, i was ready to give him mvp
Hahahahah
You guys should Make these scoring breakdowns more often

Interesting because I thought they pushed the pace pretty well. Going to be fun to see it develop

Bench players need improvement. More in regards to players in the second half of the game.

They're down a few guys including Huerter, Lyles, McLaughlin and then Devin Carter & Robinson.

Kings are good because of the system or is it sabonis?
Can it be both?
Makes it sound like there up by 20......
Its a preseason game. Dont really care about the score. Offense from the starters looked great and they werent hitting threes.
