It's a given that you're a great airsoft legend when it comes to precision and skill. But... what's even better is that you are a Good Guy. Genuine article. You go out of your way to say nice things and encouraging things to the younger fans, those who are closer to your age, even older people. And you've invited your girl in to experience the world of airsoft, without treating her anything but decent and amazing. (I still remember that 'Cutest Airsoft Player' video and it warmed my heart so much to see!)

You are a great roll model for the younger players (and older ones too). My 13 year old son just started airsoft a month ago and watches every video you make...sometimes two or three times! You need to get some merchandise up as I know he'd love a "Dutch The Hooligan" morale patch. Keep up the great work!
That is awesome, tell him I said what's up!! Merch is coming - not sure when. PVC rubberized, velcro patches are made (in multiple colors), but the logistics of fulfillment options are giving me a headache. I'm not giving up!

Personally, I like HPA > AEG > GBBR, but that’s because I’m not going for realism! Cheers
For starting off, go for an AEG, they are the cheapest, so you can find out what you would prefer once you get some experience.
i recommend an aeg m4 with a v2 gear box, only because there are hundreds of parts and videos to fix it if anything goes wrong with it. after that go nuts and see what you like! just keep in mind, the more unique it is, the harder it is to get parts.
Start with an aeg once you start getting into it get right into hpa it’s gonna be more expensive at first but there more reliable and a lot more fun to play around with
I would suggest an AEG as a first-time rifle, they are cheaper and reliable, and they are simpler to use. You also don't need expensive equipment, just a battery, and a charger
this is my ranking for what to get for a beginner
1. AEG: Simpler to use, reliable, both gun and other equipment is cheap (most expensive equipment you might need aside from the gun is a balance charger which will run you about $60, they can really help to keep your battery healthy)
2. HPA: Not as simple to use, not as simple to set up, equipment and guns are more expensive and there are more options depending on what type of gun you have, but reliable, consistent, and tank refilling is much cheaper than other gas options. (equipment would be an hpa tank (about $50-60), regulator (varies but one I know of lands around $120 but some guns do have internal regulators like my Tippman m4), and a remote line (about $30-40)
3. Gbbr: more simple than HPA, no equipment (not including gas) is necessary (unless you are running propane instead of green gas but the equipment for that is inexpensive) but has some drawbacks, including the gas being more expensive (unless you are using propane), and you have to refill them mid in the middle of a match assuming the gas is stored on the gun (co2 mags would be one exception but they have low bb count.) also propane and green gas are the same things but propane smells (not that big of a deal).
Gas blowback is best with sidearms since they preserve that low profile and maneuverability sidearms need. Although HPA lines don't do that much to the sidearm unless you are using ridiculous mags like drum mags or even just regular m4 mags.\
hope this helps with you finding your first gun :)
edit: oh also if you do use a gbbr or a gas pistol difference from gg and c02 is, c02 is higher pressure so more kick to the weapon, green gas is lower pressure. If you are going for saving money in gas you can sub green gas for propane since they are the same thing just green gas doesn't smell and has lubricant and is overpriced. If you do use propane you need a green gas adapter (around $20) and some lubricant (I believe it is silicone oil you need but I forget the exact type). There are a lot of videos out there on that too. Again, hope this helps you!
