@@informanti Not really, since it only requires 2 heads from a Celebi to KO, the extra 60 damage is on a coinflip, requires 2 energy (which is a lot in an aggro deck), and still requires Blaine for the one-hit KO. As someone who mainly plays charizard im kinda sick of banking on getting good coin flips. This deck does seem very fun tho i cant wait to get the celebii for it
Yea this def best deck out of the new set. Possibly tier 1 / tier A. Play similarly to Mewtwo but with higher dmg ceiling albeit with luck. Mewtwo does have a way to counter it with Jynx at least. Blaine and Moltres arcanine decks gonna have a rise in meta thx to celebi.
I’ve had a lot of success with shiinotic/celebi. The stall potential allows celebi to enter with 4 or more energy attached already, while still having the aggressive plays available with a decent retreat option
I am another big fan of Exeggutor ex, Celebi ex was a welcome addition to the deck... a basic that raises the damage output threshold for (relatively) cheap certainly fills a lot of important gaps. Have been having mixed-to-positive success with an Exeggutor/Celebi/Butterfree build. The compressed utility of the Butterfree line (searching for the early game/healing for the mid-to-late game/even eating the occasional hit for a turn) helps grind things out long enough for a Celebi endgame to be set up. Many of the "free" turns where energy was being attached to the supporting cast in anticipation of retreating can now be repurposed to something significantly more threatening. To that end, have been running it as a one-of... while it's nice to have it as a bulkier turn one option, getting early tempo (whether building up the board T2 or swinging T3) seems much more important.
Initially I thought I would hate the new Exeggutor, but that may be a good addition as a secondary late game option (decent HP and 2 cost 80 + energy damage is great)
Celebi-Serperior seems to be the "pushed" archetype of the set (in the way Pikachu, Charizard, and Mewtwo were for their respective packs). It kind of plays like, "What if Mewtwo could run Erika?", which is a scary thought, lol. Dhelmise looked like hot garbage to me until I saw Serperior, but now it seems appealing to me in this shell as the 5th/6th basic.
i thought of the exact same thing exeggutor for celebi. it helps with alakazam matchup where exegutor should tank a two knock out alakazam. lilligant feels better to play than serperior imo since its getting more energy faster than getting a single serperior on avg. I have been trying one team out with double egg, double lilligant single serperior and 1 celebi. egg wall and lilligant are good early game. And kinda help with the alakazam mathchup.
Definitely see some potential for Druddi as a frontliner similar to Kanga. Have messed around with it in a couple of decks already and it feels great whether you give it energy or not! Opens up some breakpoints you may have not had before.
I made a similar deck, but with just one copy of the new Exeggutor as Mirror tech. I did think about Exeggutor ex as well, but wanted to try out the new one. How you been finding this build? I did the Coffing/Mew ex deck as well, and it's busted. The fact Mew ex got a koga-type card as well, it's like it was made to go with Coffing. I honestly think they released Mew ex as a buff to dark decks, even though it's a psychic type. I also feel like Pigeot ex was released as a counter to Pikachu decks, as it actively punished for having a full bench.
is leaf not better than x-speed now? you can only use 1 a turn, but it gives a 2 discount. does the same thing as 2 x-speeds, in one card. I guess it takes up your trainer move for that turn though. I have one of each at the minute. trying to find room to put the egg line in here though. I forgot it needs to evolve.
@ Moltres would need to land 2 heads every turn in order to keep up with grass having their always on double energy. Miss 2 flips or even worse all 3, and it’s over. Decks with non-energy manipulation effects like electric, fighting, dark, etc cannot even compete in PvP.
So play something fast instead - like Blaine. It can't manipulate energy but it's probably the fastest deck next to Pikachu ex with a type advantage to boot.
Been playing the same deck and it feels pretty good. Wondering if Dhelmise makes more sense than eggs as an alternate beneficiary for Surperior in case you brick on Celebi
Bro I'm upset and happy at the same time, I had enough gold to rip like 5 10 packs, and I literally got 4 immersive celebi lol, I wish I could have gotten a bit of diversity, but I'm still only a few cards short of completing mini set, and got me the mami leaf full art 🥵
ability of serperior makes every energy attached to all your pokemon on the field count as two. Since it had 5 energy it counted each as two there for 10 coin flips
This is a slightly better deck than the base celebi/serperior one but it doesn't make celebi any better. I'm 15-16 games in and my roll count for heads right now is like, 10/73. Powerful Bloom should just read "3 cost, deal 50 damage"
Possibly but without serperior or having egg in the active use its attack and stay alive it’s gonna take too long to set up both imo. Old egg can keep tempo and momentum as you find and evolve serp and then close with celebi I imagine.
Misty can win you a game before your opponent even gets to play. Celebi when played right, needs time to setup, and still luck might not be on your side. Nobody is talking about Mewtwo getting mythical slab, while Pikachu and Charizard got nothing.
@@nuke_clear is MewTwo broken? They’re basically the same deck but Celebi is less consistent and easier to snipe. It can do a ton, or it can do nothing, you won’t see people streaming video of their 6 coin Celebi doing 50 damage though. It also gets hard countered by Blaine and can get one shot by a lot of other EX units. Celebi is very good but it’s a worse MewTwo, it’s just shiny and new. It has a higher ceiling but a much lower floor since it’s RNG dependent (you need full Serperior line and also have to flip coins). If Celebi had 150-160 hp it would be broken, having 130 hp means a lot of the new “anti-pikachu” Pokémon (like Pidgeot EX, Taurus, etc.) can snipe it with a Gio, Blaine decks eat it alive, and Pokémon like Jynx/Alazakam decimate it. It’s a very fun and good deck but it’s by no means broken. People just aren’t going to include the matches of them bricking (not getting Snivy line) or not hitting RNG coin flips in their games. What about normal execcutor (old 1energy) instead of EX to make them go trough 2 single prize before closing with celebi?
I pulled two immersive Celebi in one 10 pack. I think the game wants me to play Celebi lol.
I got all 3 Celebi cards, but only one Serperior 😂
it's only 50% for the first flip. 25% chance for two heads in a row, 12.5% for three, and 6.25% for four heads fyi
I got the full art interactive celebi ex in my first ten packs…. I have been playing nothing but celebi and it’s so fun!!

@ tru but I was thinking bout having Celebi as the lead and egg as back up, almost like a moltres deck but back words
Just pulled immersive celebi from a 10 pack after not pulling anything on reset other ex were from wonder pick
Why use exeggutor ex? The new exeggutor is better for this meta.
Trying to avoid the deck being 100% reliant on getting the serperior out

Serperior is much better for ramp -undead

Do you think this deck still works if someone(me) hasn’t pulled a 2nd Erika? Love the content man!
yea just add a potion
Yeah if you need the second Erika you are probably in a bad spot
Baby Exeggutor better no? 30 damage for 1 energy, 1 point and heads do 60.
I would play 1 normal instead of 2 Exs
Been playing this deck with 2 celebi and 2 meowth to speed up getting serperior. Without that card the deck is pretty underwhelming
Why not the Leaf trainer instead of xspeed?
since u can only use 1 support per turn it’s prob more valuable to just use x speed on low retreat cost decks, especially this one since it has erika
My first pack was alt art celebi I was screaming 🎉
I don’t like it. The most unhealthy card in the entire game and worse than misty.
