In the train station all the kids luggage and toys are still there with notes saying they'd be sent later. Wherever they were sent it wasn't somewhere nice
Basically there was something instated by the Germans in WW2 (called "the thing we don't talk about" in game), where Britain surrendered their children to Germany, on trains no less. So Arthur persuades Percy to come with him, but then betrays his trust by stealing his passport and impersonating him. TL;DR: Arthur's good acting skills made Percy end up in Auschwitz
@@topitsound7689 Well he wasn’t sent to Auschwitz. In this world I’m pretty sure the government wasn’t as hardline anti-Jewish or awful as before. In this universe Rommel controls Germany not moustache and so it’s likely they would be more lenient, plus I don’t even think they went to camps.
One thing I’d like to bring up: In We Happy Few, the flag of Germany is different, it’s the Flag of the German Empire from WWI. So the Nazis may have never came to power, or that Adolf Hitler & other high-ranking Nazis were killed in a Coup like Operation Valkeriye.
Thank you for this video. It was very insightful, but could have really used more flow. The topic of discussion is always more important than the background (in this case gameplay). Don't think viewer will not enjoy the video if their is no gameplay. They are clicking on and watching the video for the topic of discussion. Also consider writing a brief script or discussion notes to remember your main points and not repeat one's you've already mentioned. All in all I thought the concept was great and I am baffeled that I never thought of it myself. Thank you.
No you see a little kid but it's not Percy and it has been years since he left because Arthur was a little kid when he left but in the game he is a grown man
ok thanks for the information I hope you have a good life and a good series in your channel and wait and your gonna get many subs so have little patience my boi
Yeah. According to official info, Percy was in his teens when he was sent off to Germany. He was too old to go, as the children had to be 13 years old or younger to go on the train (it's strongly implied Percy had a development disorder, possibly autism or on the spectrum. His demeanour was much more innocent than that of a teenager so it's not out of the ordinary that the staff working the train that day would have mistook him for being younger, people were not as well informed of these things like they are today, due to the lack of research by professionals). If he was still alive somewhere during the events of We Happy Few (it's unlikely, though this is a what if scenario) he'd have to be in his mid thirties by now (I believe he's around a year to two years older than Arthur who is said to be around 32 to 33, so Percy would be 34-35.)

Why did Arthur betray him though? I recently beat the game but I dont see why he would do such a thing
@@Devs999 not sure, honestly. I guess he didn’t want to die ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Or maybe they just didn’t want to put in a Nazi flag
