0:33 notice how Saki pushed away the strawberries that Tiara got for her, and immediately grabbed the magazine, looking at Tiara's photos. I think this is Saki's way of only seeing an idealized version of Tiara, she isn't really her friend and never was. She was using Tiara in her modeling career.
whoah i didnt notice how she completely pushed the dish to the side right after saying she loved strawberries too and said she was proud to be her friend right after bringing up the fact tiara is going to be on the cover
My theory: I just realized the only reason why Tiara's wish was so different from everyone else's was because we were getting into a glimpse of what Saki actually wanted. She wanted to use Tiara and she wanted to belong to no one once she was on top. Everything about this series is GENUIS and I am so hopeful to see it grow in popularity!! EDIT: ((PLEASE NOTE, THE CREATOR/POSTER DID NOT LIKE THIS COMMENT AFTER THE EDIT! THIS COMMENT WAS LIKED *BEFORE* THE EDIT WAS WRITTEN)) I think this episode really opens up a darker, and deeply interesting concept in this mini-series. Making a wish seemed so harmless at first, didn’t it? Ah, how the turn tables.. Mana and Haruka just wanted to be themselves. Lulu simply wanted to cease existing ((Akihiro didn’t really have a wish, he waltzed into Nina’s shop, was rude to her, and was taught a swift lesson in humility)). All the wishes prior to Tiara’s were quick and easy to grant, because they were what the people truly desired deep within their hearts. But Tiara’s wish, while simple, required Looking Deeper beyond the surface layer. She went into herself wanting to love Saki and to be with Saki, but she never specified for how long or in what capacity. I believe Tiara *knew* about Saki’s long string of past and present lovers, and how Saki was non-committal, but she purposely ignored that. She likely convinced herself that it was simply a case of Saki not being able to find someone to complete her - and Tiara wanted to be Saki’s missing puzzle piece. But what Looking Deeper revealed was that Saki never needed to find that puzzle piece, because Saki was *happy* being non-committal and was never interested in settling down the same way Tiara was. And when that was revealed, Tiara’s deepest, heartfelt desire shifted. Her wish for wanting to complete Saki became a wish to *erase* Saki. Had Nina not intervened, Saki likely would’ve dropped dead in the real world and Tiara would’ve had to deal with the immense guilt of wishing death upon someone else, and likely would’ve taken her own life later on down the line. Nina probably saw this and chose to break the rules in order to prevent two more deaths that would ultimately be her fault. And my prediction for the next episode is that Nina will be forced to Look Deeper into herself and learn some hard truths she likely has been avoiding for quite some time.
This show continues to impress and amaze me! The rose & spider aesthetic of this episode looks so pretty - a perfect juxtaposition of something beautiful and delicate (Tiara's feelings), with something dangerous and carnivorous (Saki taking advantage of other people to get ahead in life). Looks like Nina is going up against her past self now... I wonder if the final episode will involve Nina "peering deeper" into herself, and discovering what it is that she really wants to do with her magic?
I actually think it’s the opposite! It seems like Saki is the rose (her dress, the fact she was in a rose garden) whereas Tiara is the spider. Even though Tiara thought she just wanted Saki to be happy, deep down she actually wanted desperately to be with Saki, even if it meant tying her down - like a spider trapping their prey. It was really neat how the necklace she gave Saki ended up as something to choke her at the end. Nina is also dressed like a spider in this episode, and it seems like she is usually dressed in the same mental state as the customer. I think the Saki in the “look deeper” sequence is actually Tiara’s image of Saki, not Saki herself.
@littlecloudflower Ah, I was actually talking about the set pieces, rather than the character designs. There's initially a very lush and rosy atmosphere (when Tiara thought that Saki loved her back), but then we see fewer flowers and more vines (a visual element signaling entanglement) as she gradually discovers Saki's true nature. But I really like your analysis of their character designs too! Tiara's love does have a somewhat dark and possessive side, while Saki's dress shows how Tiara has been viewing her through "rose-coloured" lenses. As for Nina's clothing, I'd describe it as more funerary rather than "spider-like", especially due to the black veil. She's mourning Lulu's death and/or expressing her own emotional desolation.
@@moonlightray8493 Oooh I see what you mean! The entanglement thing you pointed out is really cool. I think that the Saki in this sequence isn’t necessarily the real Saki though, just Tiara’s perception of he. Hmm yeah I think Nina’s clothing being funeral-like makes sense as well. I just thought it looked a bit like a spider due to the veil, and also how she herself was forced to make Tiara “peer deeper” through strings, which really reminded me of a spider’s web.
@@littlecloudflower Ooh, linking the strings controlling Nina to those of a spider web is a great observation! Perhaps Nina's outfit has a bit of a double-meaning here: she's trapped in her feelings of regret and desolation, but also trapped in the bindings of her duties as a witch.
@@moonlightray8493 Yeah, that makes sense! I love how much detailed symbolism the creators put into this work, so we can watch it again and again and discover deeper meanings 🥰
This story gets deeper and deeper...at first I thought it would just be a usually happy happy fairy tail but reality isn't like that...this is realistic and as a LGBTQ person...this episode hit home...who to trust and who to not...thank you for making this series...
Really appreciate Nina breaking the rules to let Tiara know there's someone worthy of her love waiting out there. Some thoughts: I feel like Saki is going to end up extremely unhappy only connecting with people superficially and ignoring all attempts people make to meaningfully connect with her. She seems to have issues of her own, I'd kind of love to see her "look deeper" sometime, because I don't think she's okay.
Omg this was such an unexpected dark turn, I freakin’ love the direction this story is taking!! Looks like her chameleon and pig guides aren’t as nice as they seem, and some wishes actually have “consequences” depending on the customer. I wonder if we’ll finally get to “peer deeper” inside Nina’s heart next? 😱
I mean there are mentors, teachers and coaches that are strict for us in life... Hoping it gives us some sense even it did go bad for us at the mean time.
Looking back, the chair Tiara sat in first was then replaced by Saki in the world where her wish gets granted. Saki's outfit is also bright and decorated, whereas the people around her had monotone-ish colours. Another representation she wants to soley shine and leave no space for other people.
I hope the team can also translate the song lyric in the next episodes. I found out that there are a lot of layers and hidden meanings in this series, and some of them lies in the song so please translate the lyrics too in the next episodes.
I started crying when she said "I promise you, there's someone out there who can accept your love" ( 6:43 ) because growing up I struggled to be loved. I always sought out for someone to love me, even though it wasn't genuine love. Because of that I always ended up getting deeply hurt and let the darkness come out. But eventually, I did find someone who loves me and accepts my love. I truly wish for Tiara to find that love.
I think tiara thought that if she gave saki her all, saki would return it back. its only in this wish did she realize that saki wasn't there for her, but for that push in saki's career. the choker presents this, how tiara gave everything but saki exploited it instead. what i also love is how nina is having her own problems and showing weakness as well, because witch or not, we are all still human. love ❤️
i love how dark this series is! with how bright and colorful it is, it gives a pleasant surprise!! also as a lesbian it's so nice to see lesbian representation in anime 💕
Nina letting her emotions get the better of her seems to be taboo to some degree. So does that mean witches only act as mediums by which to grant wishes of happiness regardless of how it will affect her customers. If thats the case, what exactly is the goal of a witch by granting these miracles of happiness?
I’m amazed by the fact that every chapter it’s linked to the last one, and that in this time Nina felt bad and she wanted to mourn because of what happened with Lulu
With every episode I thirst for lore, how does the shop work? What do they pay with? Does the wish actually affect the real world other than the objects they take? So many questions and so many feels. I'm not ready for this series to end.
The way the wish played out showed the flaws and selfishness of both Saki AND Tiara The more obvious one is Saki. Saki is into girls, but not into Tiara. She was only using her to get more modeling gigs, which was later confirmed in one of the ArtisWitch picture dramas. Now onto Tiara. This one is much more subtle. When Tiara walks into the shop, she tells Nina her wish. When Tiara sees Saki kissing other people, she gets furious and wonders why it’s happening after her wish was granted. But remember, Tiara told Nina that her wish was for Saki to succeed as a model, she didn’t wish for them to be together as a romantic couple. If Tiara HAD wished for her and Saki to be together, she would be forcing Saki to spend the rest of her life with someone she didn’t love
ep1 - Dont let others determine who you are ep2 - Dont let others stop you from achieving your dreams ep3 - Becareful with your Ego, you're not superior than anyone. ep4 - Becareful with what you wish. ep5 - Becareful with who you love. ep6 - No matter what you say and think about your sef, you're doing great, don't give up.
Another great episode! I am loving the route we're taking here. Nina has more to show, more to give. I can't wait for more development in her character. I am really excited for more.

Symbolism in the episode Lavender:Purity, Silence, Devotion White roses: Innocence, Youthful love Saki in light,Tiara in shadow: Saki shows love outwardly towards partners and Tiara in shadows, more private Strawberry cake: Saki says she likes strawberries but ignores it over the magazine, fame magazine:For a moment she has Tiara in the page and the flips it over, to see other people Necklace:Control and restraint Saki in paintings:Tiara said she'd love just to see her happy, want to only see her happy then a picture would do just fine, right? even if she had seen her with other partners being happy, that shouldn't bother her right? Water:Mirrors and the illusion of making herself believe she can be the only love for Saki Laberinth:Feeling lost about her feelings Necklace part 2: Transforms into a spider, seizing and wanting absolute control over Saki, even if restrain her from being with anyone is poison that can harm her butterfly:Her transformation into betterment, or letting Saki go , something beautiful
Other symbolism: The necklace also represents the wish, she gives it to Saki, thinking she's giving away her wish but in reality she's placing the wish into her,the flashes between the city and the watery floor sky are that the city is the perception she has of the relationship, and the reality is the sky, she's alone merely following the idea she's una relationship with Saki, the choker har a crown for 2 reasons a crown is higher than a tiara, for how Tiara places sake above her, also its a matching set of tiara/crown The Saki that becomes mean is nothing but Tiaras insecurity,we don't know is she really is like this, but the inner thoughts do paint the bad side of her like a total ego maniac And in the beggining we see Tiara sitting on a chair that's more like a Throne, shes the one on the spotlight and throws herself to the side while sitting to be next to Saki
Nina guided Tiara to live for herself (and not make the harmful assumption that she can will something into reality, which is kinda what she expected from the fantastical witch that grants people's wishes lol) and find what her *true* wish is. OMG I LOVE THIS SERIES SO MUCH

The human heart is complicated, and clearly Nina is still fighting her desire to be human versus being a witch. Loved this episode!
OH I GET IT. saki pushing away the strawberry and going for the magazine instead is symbolic of her friendship
She seems to have issues of her own, I'd kind of love to see her "look deeper" sometime, because I don't think she's okay.
this anime really deserves more appreciation, each ep just gives me goosebumps and can easily read the message of it. also feel bad for Nina here
Omg this was such an unexpected dark turn, I freakin’ love the direction this story is taking!!
So heat-breaking. She thought she was the only love in that girl's life, until she learned she wasn't...
Ep 1:😁
Ep 2:😃
Ep 3:🤪
Ep 4:😳
Ep 5:😨
I love how Saki isn't straight. It's not that Saki can't love Tiara, it's that she doesn't
my guess is that she truly doesn't love anyone but herself and the idea of power/staying on top.
The way the wish played out showed the flaws and selfishness of both Saki AND Tiara
The more obvious one is Saki.
Aaaa 2:10 When she say "Gomen" the fake hand grabs the necklace, I love that detail 👀
This episode really hurt my heart, it's my favorite so far.
I didn’t even notice how bad of a friend Saki was. Tiara must have felt awful
ep1 - Dont let others determine who you are
ep2 - Dont let others stop you from achieving your dreams
ep3 - Becareful with your Ego, you're not superior than anyone.
ep4 - Becareful with what you wish.
ep5 - Becareful with who you love.
ep6 - No matter what you say and think about your sef, you're doing great, don't give up.

everything about this series is ABSOLUTELY genius! love the fashion especially!
yeah that hit close to home.
Finally the gay subtext of this series shines through from the genderfuck advocating first episode to the finish line!!!!
Thanks again for another episode! It seems this show is finally taking a serious turn into focusing on Nina! Can’t wait for the next episode :D

Nina’s still thinking about Lulu 😢 also I loved Tiara’s design. She looks like a westerner

So past Nina appears...
Conjured by the animals?
Or part of her longing to still be a witch?
Nina's past...
this and Link Click are my fav series ngl
I love the dark turn that this took! And I hope Nina knows she is awesome! I hope this gets the recognition it deserves because it’s amazing!
Going through each of these episodes, there is so much I want to add or comment on but can’t find the energy at this moment aaaaa
I adore this series
Symbolism in the episode
Lavender:Purity, Silence, Devotion
White roses: Innocence, Youthful love
Saki in light,Tiara in shadow: Saki shows love outwardly towards partners and Tiara in shadows, more private
Strawberry cake: Saki says she likes strawberries but ignores it over the magazine, fame
magazine:For a moment she has Tiara in the page and the flips it over, to see other people
Necklace:Control and restraint
Saki in paintings:Tiara said she'd love just to see her happy, want to only see her happy then a picture would do just fine, right? even if she had seen her with other partners being happy, that shouldn't bother her right?
Water:Mirrors and the illusion of making herself believe she can be the only love for Saki
Laberinth:Feeling lost about her feelings
Necklace part 2: Transforms into a spider, seizing and wanting absolute control over Saki, even if restrain her from being with anyone is poison that can harm her
butterfly:Her transformation into betterment, or letting Saki go , something beautiful
Other symbolism:
The necklace also represents the wish, she gives it to Saki, thinking she's giving away her wish but in reality she's placing the wish into her,the flashes between the city and the watery floor sky are that the city is the perception she has of the relationship, and the reality is the sky, she's alone merely following the idea she's una relationship with Saki, the choker har a crown for 2 reasons a crown is higher than a tiara, for how Tiara places sake above her, also its a matching set of tiara/crown
The Saki that becomes mean is nothing but Tiaras insecurity,we don't know is she really is like this, but the inner thoughts do paint the bad side of her like a total ego maniac
And in the beggining we see Tiara sitting on a chair that's more like a Throne, shes the one on the spotlight and throws herself to the side while sitting to be next to Saki
Every episode touches my heart. This is a masterpiece.
Nina is still guilty of lulu's death
Tiara: it´s actually my "friend´s" wish, not mine
Can't wait, makes me so excited for tomorrow~
Yooo what??? This is getting dark and interesting. At first I thought it was some light wholesome thing.
Ahh yay finally! I really like how they make each of their characters ❤️
Nina guided Tiara to live for herself (and not make the harmful assumption that she can will something into reality, which is kinda what she expected from the fantastical witch that grants people's wishes lol) and find what her *true* wish is. OMG I LOVE THIS SERIES SO MUCH
