She actually did it that way with Nightwish first month or so she joined them. Inherited that version from Anete, I belive because Anette wasn't able to do the song justice (in my opinion). After American and maybe british leg of their tour, Floor switched back to original/this version. And yes, it is cool version.

Every note he plays is thought out and planned, and it happens at exactly the right moment. That last of course goes for the whole band, who must be the rhythmically tightest group of musicians currenty playing.

Great reaction as always. Floor's approach to this song has changed a LOT since Wacken. Floor/Tarja always gets compared but whoever the singer is the only reason why people listen to nightwish is the songwriting.. no one ever mentions that in reaction videos. It’s always the voice they compliment but I think people should look deeper into nightwish and how toumas created these masterpieces.
This song keeps changing from tour to tour to keep it fresh! Last tour Floor sung some parts in a different way and also Troy plays second guitar in the outro (which sounds awesome) so it's great to see new versions from older songs

Tarja's version was the version I placed against other versions to see if they measured up to hers. I think it was because it was the first version and I loved it and the way she sang it in contrast to the metal instrumentation in the background. The official version of hers is kind of stolid and nul. However, when she allowed emotive content she was supreme. I say WAS supreme for Floor has the ability to sing perfectly, to belt a song perfectly, to add her own flavour to any song she performs and with all that she also has the ability to naturally add emotion and "feeling" which powers all her vocalisations, changes songs and expresses, what I feel is the original intent, of Toumas in his writing of the songs (Or she would not be performing them that way in the band!) I like her version very much, yet like you, I like both versions very much too! Different times different voices same song, both perfection for my ears personally. I appreciate you bringing this up, Natalie. Wacken 2008 is my favorite Nemo. Really, it's not close for me. If I just listen and not watch the screen, it's my favorite vocals. If I watch the screen, it's Anette's entire stage presence. Of the three singers, Anette seems to me to be the most naturally relaxed and at ease in front of an audience, and the more people in the audience the more she seems to feel as though she's right where she most belongs. I feel all of that when watching Wacken 2008, especially in Nemo. Gampel is nice as well, especially The Poet and the Pendulum.
Nemo is one of their songs that I wasn’t too fussed about when I first heard it to going as far now as creating a piece of fan art for it. My preference is this performance by Floor as it really tugs at my emotions but I quite like the original as well. Nightwish really spoiled us with this concert! Not a single dud.

Ooooh no sadly you chose the only live version of Floor singing Nemo, without her improvising at the end. She use to add a belt at the end and it's a real Floorgasm moment every time. 😍 Anyway great reaction and I love your cover as well.
Some folks call me crazy, but Emppu's solo in Nemo is one of my favorite guitar solos of all time. It's simple, but soulful and full of emotion. Just plain great.
YES this!! Emppu's guitar playing is definitely underrated, his solo writing is so excellent, and he knows how to play just exactly what needs to be played. And this one specific solo might also be my all time favorite!
Emppu is a very underrated guitarist, as a guitar player myself I can say some of the stuff especially on their earlier albums is extremely hard to do, requires a great amount of hand dexterity and specific finger placement, both of those combined with some damn impressive left and right hand -coordination. He's not the type of guitarist who would try and showcase his skills, and so it often goes unnoticed. But then when I started learning to play some of their songs it was quickly obvious that he's a real pro, and that his parts are rarely easy. And in his other band, Brother Firetribe, it's the same thing: impressive playing, but he never tries to outshine the rest of the band. In metal especially it's kind of rare to find people who so expertly play for the song and not for visibility.
Nice one!! I was waiting for you to sing along.... I like this version as much as Tarja's, but honestly, what I loved the most was your face and body language during the song
I like the way Anette sings it best (Wacken 2008), with long, high, vibrato free notes especially at the end. I didn't know Nightwish before Floor. She blew me away with Shudder Before the Beautiful (Wembley), The Greatest Show on Earth (Tampere), and of course all of Wacken 2013. It took me a while to accept previous singers, but now that I do I'm getting so much more pleasure from them and Nightwish has become my favorite band.
Great professionalism there! All songs at Wacken 2013 are epic. Check the semiacoustic Nemo in Muziekcafe sessions in Netherlands just couple weeksi ago. It's utterly beautiful! Best of Wishes!
@@ElvannReacts It's fresh, just a couple weeks ago. You'll find it under the name of Muziekcafe Nemo. Marcel Fisser band (from the Bestezangers) did four songs with Floor in this session. All of them are great but the semiacoustic Nemo is absolutely beautiful. You definitely should check it out!
I like your take on NIGHTWISH. Keep up the good work. FYI, Troy is playing the Whistle. Also called the Tin Whistle, Penny Whistle, or in Belfast the Hornpipe.
I understand you focus mostly on Floor as a vocalist, but I'd really love to learn what your thoughts are about the rest of the band, especially Jukka, the drummer.
I easily forget those things, I'm too focused making sure my camera, screen and audio are all recording properly XD It happened that I forgot to record the screen....
Always nice to see you again. Feels like you are doing more explanations which I really like (since i got noooo clue about singing ^^) Btw.: Do.. Do i see a cursor there? :D
I love Jukka's stick twirls. Oh, and his drumming ain't bad, either! ;-) Tuomas must be proud when his compositions always recieve the whole band's absolute best, every performance.
I am fascinated by how Tuomas keeps his compositions fresh and adapts each to the vocal skills/strengths of his singers. Many bands expect new singers to attempt to replicate their predecessor's renditions (which is a recipe for failure). Instead, Tuomas allows each to shine.
@@corections5068 I was not referring to vocal style, simply to vocal skills/strength. If nothing else her recent solo ventures have shown the huge style range that she is capable of.
I like your reactions to Nightwish, we can feel your passion for this band, and you bring up to light some little details that make us appreciate the songs even better. Thank you for that ;-) Of course, as a singer, you're obviously focusing mostly on the singing parts, but each members of Nightwish are so solid in their own part of the show. One thing I'd love to ask you, considering your passion for classical trained singers and metal/fantasy music, would it be possible that Eivør stayed out of your radar up to now? If you don't know her, I highly recommend to discover her music, she has such a beautiful voice. Maybe you can start with "Falling Free - live in Torshavn", or "Salt -live at Juke Train", this last one is in Faroese, her native language. I hope you'll enjoy ;-)
I love watching your reactions from the beginning, at first you had a true Tarja bias, and no way this girl can hold Tarja's mic. Slowly but surely you realized the truth about Floor, there is no spoon.
Actually I'm looking to get sponsored by them, I really LOVEEEEEE all of their stuff. The jewlery and clothes are all handcrafted and use really nice fabrics. I can say it is hands down my favorite fashion boutique of ALL times
Tarja, Floor,... which is better? They have different styles, and both are brilliant. Tarja does some songs so well that nor even Floor can do them better, but then others Floor does improve on: Ghost Love Score anyone?
So, will you take us through the video for Noise, Elvann? Later, maybe? It will also be good to have your thoughts on the new Helloween album, how they balance the three high level singers, Michael, Andi and Kai. Finally, you speak of fantasy, but never mention the band that wrote a fantasy epic in song spread over three albums...
hehe are you refering to Ayreon, by any chance? 😎 I should react to them, I LOVE Arjen's music! And for Noise, I think I'll react to it in the next video batch I'll be filming! :D
Ah, there will always be a warm, special place in my heart for Nemo. First Nightwish song I ever heard and what got me hooked on the band... still my favorite for that reason and damn do I love Floor's rendition of it here.

To all those pedantic nitpickers who insist on comparing the singers. They all have their strengths. ENOUGH.
I know you live there, but are you pronouncing Tarja correctly? Never heard a Finnish name with the stress off the first syllable before
I am sure the boys of Nightwish are enjoying having a singer of the capability of Floor to be able expand musically
yeeee! new video :)
yess! :D
loved your reaction Elvann I'm not much for rock but it was a WOW moment for me great band and super singing
Yes! :D This one is quite amazing!
Great reaction, I love the knowledgeable commentary. I don't know who I love more, you or Floor 😍
Awwnnn you sweet! ❤️
HAPPY BIRTHDAY Queen floor
merci pour la joie et l'excitation! vous êtes merveilleux.
so sorry FB deleted this! love this version of this song! wonderful job!
Checked you out on Spotify. Fantastic music! You just got a new fan! :)
Gorgeous as always 🤗
And i also like your version, at most only with harp 😍
Awwwn Thank you! :D
@@ElvannReacts thank you for your music, your selfmade titles are my favorite playlist 😉
Hi Elvann , have you listen to the acoustic version of Nemo by Floor already? It is Soooo awsome....
swatan1 mmm and what a bout Tim singing it at “Beste Sangers” that was a lott of fun too I.m.o. 😁🌹👍
not yeeet!!! 😱
@@ElvannReacts there's a professional recording in 2020 :D
@@ElvannReacts It's fresh, just a couple weeks ago. You'll find it under the name of Muziekcafe Nemo. Marcel Fisser band (from the Bestezangers) did four songs with Floor in this session. All of them are great but the semiacoustic Nemo is absolutely beautiful. You definitely should check it out!
@@janottens6755 Tim did ok. if he was going to do a NW song for Floor, Elan would have been my choice.
I like your take on NIGHTWISH. Keep up the good work. FYI, Troy is playing the Whistle. Also called the Tin Whistle, Penny Whistle, or in Belfast the Hornpipe.
Tim Akkerman did a cover of this song on Floor's episode of Beste Zangers. It was amazing.
Well if there is one thing Floor likes then it's belting ... That and windmilling / head banging ... but not at the same time 😂.
That is Troys Tin Whistle, and yes it is a flute,i would think thats a Irish Tin Whistle he uses. Wacken-Floor and Elyann =😍 😍
Floor rules. Ultimate soprano angel goddess. God sent floor to us mortals to show us what heaven sounds like. There is no one like floot
I understand you focus mostly on Floor as a vocalist, but I'd really love to learn what your thoughts are about the rest of the band, especially Jukka, the drummer.
i see a Focusrite scarlet 616 haha good reaction like always and i dont forgotten you your voice is in good hands ;)
@Elvann, Have you reacted to Ghost River at Wacken? Marko and Floor are so great together in that one. One of my favs.
no anyone noticed about the cursor in the middle of the screen? hahha, great video, but it makes me crazy
I easily forget those things, I'm too focused making sure my camera, screen and audio are all recording properly XD It happened that I forgot to record the screen....
Where is the Tarja live reaction. Or the original video reaction, I want to see that.
You definelly need to react to The Greatest Show On Earth Live! Simply Indescriptible
Always nice to see you again. Feels like you are doing more explanations which I really like (since i got noooo clue about singing ^^)
Btw.: Do.. Do i see a cursor there? :D
Possibly there is a cursor hehe! :P
Thank you so much for watching again! :D Glad that my explanations are helpful! :D Take care! xox
I find everything that Floor does to be fantastic. But I'm not a singer, just one who appreciates true talent.
Did you see Tim Akkermans version of Nemo from Beste Zangers? The punk rock version of Nemo you never knew you needed until you hear it.
Yes, let us appreciate the differences - and choose what we like best - if we need to do that.
YES, that's what I'm all about!
Instead, Tuomas allows each to shine.
actually, he forced her into this mainstream vocal style from the classical/metallic splendor she used for 17 years in her former bands...
@@corections5068 I was not referring to vocal style, simply to vocal skills/strength. If nothing else her recent solo ventures have shown the huge style range that she is capable of.
Tarja is Tarja the best vocal in Nightwish😉
I like your reactions to Nightwish, we can feel your passion for this band, and you bring up to light some little details that make us appreciate the songs even better. Thank you for that ;-)
Of course, as a singer, you're obviously focusing mostly on the singing parts, but each members of Nightwish are so solid in their own part of the show.
Where is Elvann from?
Now the camera focus is on the posters :D
Well those are still beautiful
yeahee I know! Next one will be fine! I recorded those as a batch and my focus was off all along! XD
Sorry, maybe I am blind, but where is the promised link to your cover version of Nemo?
I love watching your reactions from the beginning, at first you had a true Tarja bias, and no way this girl can hold Tarja's mic. Slowly but surely you realized the truth about Floor, there is no spoon.
Awesome reaction..
Thanks!
Another good I think you should react to is the live video of planet hell with floor
Tarja is like Starscream while Floor is Megatron.
All bow to goddess Floor !
I LOOOVE your necklace!!!!! My wife wants me to find out where you got it or did you craft it?
It's Dracolite, a boutique in Montreal. They have an online store, you can check them out: en.dracolite.com/
❤️
Actually I'm looking to get sponsored by them, I really LOVEEEEEE all of their stuff. The jewlery and clothes are all handcrafted and use really nice fabrics. I can say it is hands down my favorite fashion boutique of ALL times
I prefer this song for Tarja but Floor still does it brilliantly.
By the way, Floor is great as usual, but you look amazing! I dont know if it's the eye makeup or the purple hair, but you are a killer!
Man, Elvann is so beautiful...
Tarja, Floor,... which is better? They have different styles, and both are brilliant. Tarja does some songs so well that nor even Floor can do them better, but then others Floor does improve on: Ghost Love Score anyone?
It seemed to me that in the beginning she was still finding her "way" to sing this, getting in the song..
Nooooo! As soon as i saw its was floor i was like noooo nemo is tarja!!!!
I see a new video by Elvann, I immediately click !!!
Awwn ❤️ Thank youuu!
Floorgasams!!
Very good presentation of this song.... do another reaction of: sleeping sun 🌞
@@ElvannReacts No, it was Rhapsody of Fire I had in mind. ;-) Some would call them the first symphonic (power) metal band.
Ah, there will always be a warm, special place in my heart for Nemo. First Nightwish song I ever heard and what got me hooked on the band... still my favorite for that reason and damn do I love Floor's rendition of it here.
One does not always know what the chorus is in a Nightwish song…..
Oh how I wish for Soup and Grain
Hi, react to bless the child. 😊😊😊
Floor also performed this on her solo tour and was also on live radio .. and to be honest I prefer that version even above the Wacken one. Check it out if you haven't already : ua-cam.com/video/sXzVhCTTJ2c/v-deo.html
Nice reaction, but can you not see that big arrow in the middle of the screen.
Too funny. I knew I'd find one of these comments in here. 😆
Great video! Are you as excited as I am for Floor's last solo show getting professionally recorded and released to freely stream?
Also, no time to relax as a new challenger approaches... Have you seen Tim Akkerman's rendition yet?

You are in Europe yes Elvann??
Yes! I am living in Finland!
