As a home owner I advise you not to rush! Take your time choosing and deciding what you want because your opinions will change as time goes by. Dina: “Hi guys, a little update on our house... So there is no house because I got carried away knocking all the walls down and the house collapsed!!” 🤣
Just some advise from experience, it’s A LOT easier to renovate when you’re not living in the home. Especially with children. I would maybe consider doing the major work (knocking down walls, floors, etc) before moving in
True. I'm from the UK and the majority of the houses have one bathroom. And often small. Since moving to the UAE; it's common to have at least 3 bathrooms. Makes sense and more hygienic.
Congratulations to your family..... buying a house is a HUGE DEAL.... I want to thank you for allowing us to be apart of your lives!!!! I absolutely LOVE watching your children grow up.... been watching long before Hannah was born. You have achieved Great Things and can’t wait to see where the rest of your lives go.... Oh and SID YOU ROCK!!!
Im super happy for the both of you. From the day I found you guys (4 years ago), you have always talked about wanting to buy a house and now it has finally happened, Alhamdulillah You guys have grown so much as an individual and a family, Im so glad to be able to see your growth
God is good! All the time. Dina, I am a big fan and I LOVED that you showed your new home with such gratitude, vision and creativity. Congratulations to you and Sid. Many blessings going forward with ALL of your endeavors. Thanks for all that you do.
Congratulations Guys!! Been following you for so long Dina and I always thought you would get whatever you want in life!! Have fun renovating and decorating!! Enjoy!! ❤️🎉
To be honest its a great decision to buy a house even if it has struggles that come with it! Plus the house is gorgeous mashaAllah! I dont watch your videos as often anymore as the context doesnt match my taste anymore however im really happy for you and your family mashaAllah! And i may be popping in and out to see the progress of your new home again after all! (This context does fit my taste for sure) again mabrook! ✨
I love your house! It's a huge house for the UK! Are you in, or near, London? If so, it's a mansion! I think the kitchen is charming and very workable. I agree that the partitions between the living and dining rooms would be best gone, if not structural, and replace the flooring. But that's all I'd do at first. I'd leave everything else as is, except for cosmetic stuff, until I'd lived in the house for quite a long time. Don't let contractors push you to do more than you need to do now. You will make much better decisions later on. And, anyway, it's great the way it is. The garage/office is so exciting! If I was going to do something big right away, it would be that, and not rearranging the house. I've bought and renovated 3 times in my life. It's very stressful, always takes much longer than you think, is always more expensive than you plan, and is hard on all the relationships. It can really spoil the pleasure of moving into your first house. Having any major work ongoing in the out building, in discrete manageable stages, can be quite enjoyable because you can retreat to the house. If you feeeeeel you neeeeeeed ;0) to work on the house, after the flooring (and the partitions because they affect the flooring) do cosmetic stuff - paint, paper, etc. Congratulations! And looks like you made a great choice. Oh, and the garden is a good size, too! Lots of creativity and work you can do out there to make that an oasis... and you don't have to knock anything down to do it ;0) Again: Congratulations!
Beautiful home. It has character. Please take it easy. Fixing up ur house will be a never ending story...my husband and I bought our first home 7 yrs ago. We have done A LOT but we aren’t nearly done lol yes stress and a sense of accomplishment are feelings that will often take over when u start and finish a project. I was 29 yrs old when I signed for our home an it’s true...as a “brown kid” it can be perceived as a difficult thing to achieve but not impossible. Greetings from Dallas, Texas.

So happy for you both!! I really appreciate you saying thanks to us, but honestly watching you guys over the years has brought me so much happiness, so thank YOU. May God bless your new home with happiness and good health x
Congratulations I know it’s taken you a while to get it finalised and find some where you like ! I feel you talked it down a lot that it’s small or some ugly things but it’s beautiful! Honestly don’t rush and get rid of all the character of the house like the fireplace and tiles chalk paint them or cover with carpet because depending on your interior choices they may just make a room feel that bit more homely! Also I think on the left side of the house entrance to kitchen where you say you want to knock them shelves/cupboards out- paint them white! It will feel way bigger straight away and as a family you’ll need that extra storage!!! Wishing you all the best on this new endeavour 😘💕🌈

I hate how they have to justify the size of the house, I think it’s a perfect size for your family and it’s very practical compared to something massive which would be harder to maintain. Love you guysss (:
the kitchen is nice! i wouldn’t change the cupboard color, white is very open and fresh. if anything i’d just upgrade the countertops and get a new sink maybe. everything else about it looks very modern
I loved hearing that you havent grown up wealthy and that youd done it yourself with 2 kids as well! My husband and I are currently saving to buy our first home, we have 3 children and a dog and at the moment it feels like it's never going to happen! It's nice to see that it is achievable! Love the downstairs it looks so spacious If you’re not planning on having any bedrooms downstairs, I’d lose the bathroom and just have a w/c and then you could add an en suite upstairs where it’ll be closer to where your clothes are. Utilities are usually better when they’re joined to the kitchen too if you do end up changing the kitchen. Also, for the stairs - glass bannisters are the nicest and easiest to clean too.
Totally agree, seems like such a huge challenge for minorities to buy a house - I grew up thinking I'll never be able to buy a house bc I just don't know how but clearly seeing you guys has given me hope that it is achievable so I realllly can't wait to see more videos relating to house buying, savings etc etc. May Allah keep you both happy and make this new chapter in your life easy
It's got nothing to do with minorities. It's more how much money you have and saved. And everything else will be explained to you by agents mortgage advisors solicitors etc. You need to read and educate your self on buying and will realise wow what was all the fear about. It's the most exciting time ever.

♥️Awww guys! So very proud of you Dina & Sid! You’re welcome! Congratulations, and this is going to open up so many door for video ideas! YAY!!!!! Love you, and thank YOU for sharing your lives with the world. XO
okay here are my *suggestions* . I think the blue room and the yellow room can be a *big master suite*, you can close the blue room door. and just make the entrance from the yellow room. open the blue room on the yellow room, the whole blue room can be master closet + half of it where the window is it can be ensuite. you can have another closet in the small room, and opening it up from the master as well. and closing it from the corridor. so you have two walk in closet in the master + ensuite. Hana should have the bay window with a window seat it would be so cute and girly. you can make closet for her on the sides of the column in the middle. mika should have the smaller room. Good luck :DDDDD
I live in North America and that bit where Dina said this room probably looks like a box for people abroad, I was nodding along. Although their house has more rooms than the one I grew up in, our rooms were much more spacious. It would feel quite claustrophobic, to me, due to the small rooms. I like their home though. It was a smart purchase and it fits perfectly for their family size and for their needs. I'm excited to see the journey of making the house their home.
yes, i marvel at those things, too.. always checking out UK houses in videos, movies, docos, tv series set over there, hahaha!!.. and of course, depending, some them are just film sets, of course.. but Dina, she's astute, as she mentioned knowing what the differences can be like. i think they made a smart purchase - they really put a lot of thought into what they needed, specifically - and it's a very nice property, imho - just lovely and over time i'm confident they'll renovate it into what they envision. for me, the ones that 'feel' claustrophobic [but are probably cozy, comforting with happy memories for many! 🙂] are the most narrow homes & rooms, like the 2 & 3 story level ones.. many of the row houses i've seen were like that, in the large UK developments.. but neighborhoods in London, for instance, like Mayfair (?) & Kensington (Park? Park Gardens?), anyway, they're looking like glamorous row homes but don't know what they call them there.. but they seem more spacious on all floor levels.. like the houses in Presidio Heights & Pacific Heights in San Francisco.. but, from what i can gather, those London neighborhoods are somewhat equivalent to the monied ones in the San Fran Heights and certain other city parts.. so *that* explains a lot.. saw similar places when i visited Paris and Rome ages ago (((sigh))).🙍🏾 and as much as i love the idea of being mobile in a well designed, glammed-up tiny-home-on-wheels, i'd love to have a home like Sid & Dina's!. or, if in another Life i experienced a generous windfall, a bit more square footage in a beautiful home in Manhattan or London.. or one in San Francisco would be great as well!👍
Omg same! I'm American and I don't get why every room has a door... Kitchen... Family room... Doors doors doors. And where are the bedroom closets for your clothes?? In the us if a room doesn't have a closet then it's not considered a bedroom when listing it. It would just be called office lol
You can knock the walls down and build pillars/column to support the walls if possible. I think that would look nice and also give you the open space that you want :)
nock through your master bedroom ' the cream unfinished looking one' and the blue room, to have a huge master / dressing / en-suite. divide the blue room into dressing and en-suite, and nock through to the cream, would be soo cool and would work so well bc you and Sid would have that 'wing' of the house to yourselves then.
So happy for you guys! It is a huge achievement and it's brilliant! I also love how real you are about it (not that I would expect anything else) but it's lovely to see.
Mashallah so beyond excited for you and what's to come. Me and my husband bought an old home and renovated it together. You'd be surprised by how much the two of you can do on your own. UA-cam diy we're our go to! We would watch them for fun at one point haha
The 1st bedroom you went in with the wardrobe you can knock down the wall to the end room and make it a walk in wardrobe and ensuite.. making it a master bedroom.
Sid’s response to literally everything “I dunno, we’ll figure it out” 😂
"we'll see what happens"

Make the space under the stairs Hannah and Mika's play room for hide and seek... I always wished I had that lil space growing up!
Well done Dina and Sid!! You've both down extremely well and wishing you both much love for the future. May God continue to bless you and your family!
Dina is gonna knock down so many walls, her home is just gonna exist of just one room from floor to roof 😭😂
okay here are my *suggestions* .
I think the blue room and the yellow room can be a *big master suite*,
you can close the blue room door. and just make the entrance from the yellow room.
open the blue room on the yellow room,
the whole blue room can be master closet + half of it where the window is it can be ensuite.
you can have another closet in the small room, and opening it up from the master as well. and closing it from the corridor.
so you have two walk in closet in the master + ensuite.
Hana should have the bay window with a window seat it would be so cute and girly. you can make closet for her on the sides of the column in the middle.
mika should have the smaller room.
Good luck :DDDDD
The amount of times sid Said "we'll figure it out" 😅
Thanks for showing your appreciation and saying thanks at the end, and you’re most welcome! So happy for you guys 🥺❤️
Home is still beautiful even if you didn’t change anything! Congrats Dina on your beautiful home and beautiful family !!
I'm American it's hard for me to understand these houses they are so different
yes, i marvel at those things, too.. always checking out UK houses in videos, movies, docos, tv series set over there, hahaha!!.. and of course, depending, some them are just film sets, of course.. but Dina, she's astute, as she mentioned knowing what the differences can be like.
i think they made a smart purchase - they really put a lot of thought into what they needed, specifically - and it's a very nice property, imho - just lovely and over time i'm confident they'll renovate it into what they envision.
for me, the ones that 'feel' claustrophobic [but are probably cozy, comforting with happy memories for many! 🙂] are the most narrow homes & rooms, like the 2 & 3 story level ones.. many of the row houses i've seen were like that, in the large UK developments..
but neighborhoods in London, for instance, like Mayfair (?) & Kensington (Park? Park Gardens?), anyway, they're looking like glamorous row homes but don't know what they call them there.. but they seem more spacious on all floor levels.. like the houses in Presidio Heights & Pacific Heights in San Francisco.. but, from what i can gather, those London neighborhoods are somewhat equivalent to the monied ones in the San Fran Heights and certain other city parts.. so *that* explains a lot.. saw similar places when i visited Paris and Rome ages ago (((sigh))).🙍🏾
and as much as i love the idea of being mobile in a well designed, glammed-up tiny-home-on-wheels, i'd love to have a home like Sid & Dina's!. or, if in another Life i experienced a generous windfall, a bit more square footage in a beautiful home in Manhattan or London.. or one in San Francisco would be great as well!👍
The house looks uncomfortable allof it😂
Omg same! I'm American and I don't get why every room has a door... Kitchen... Family room... Doors doors doors. And where are the bedroom closets for your clothes?? In the us if a room doesn't have a closet then it's not considered a bedroom when listing it. It would just be called office lol
Sonya Bay every room she wants to turn it to her “wardrobe”😂
Same! With the doors on all the rooms and very narrow but it looks nice and also you can take all those doors off
I actually LOVE the kitchen. So cute! A white kitchen is effortless, timeless and super cute!
The family room should be the kitchen ideally as its next to the utility and the current kitchen just a long through lounge
You can knock the walls down and build pillars/column to support the walls if possible. I think that would look nice and also give you the open space that you want :)
Mashallah congratulations on the new house! You guys deserve it and so much more
nock through your master bedroom ' the cream unfinished looking one' and the blue room, to have a huge master / dressing / en-suite. divide the blue room into dressing and en-suite, and nock through to the cream, would be soo cool and would work so well bc you and Sid would have that 'wing' of the house to yourselves then.
OMG that extra front door! You can rent that side entrance and the big room as a studio flat! Make that extra mullaaaaaa 💰
Good on you Sid and Dina for buying this house its lovely!! all the best to your family!!
BIG CONGRATULATIONS TO YALL ‼️‼️‼️‼️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️
So happy for you guys! It is a huge achievement and it's brilliant! I also love how real you are about it (not that I would expect anything else) but it's lovely to see.
Dina just wants to knock all the walls down. One big room that's it 🤣
congrats Dina and Sid. Both of you guys deserve it!!!
Can't wait to see the renovations!!!
Dina make those small square room to be ur “warddrobe”
Mashallah so beyond excited for you and what's to come. Me and my husband bought an old home and renovated it together. You'd be surprised by how much the two of you can do on your own. UA-cam diy we're our go to! We would watch them for fun at one point haha
Congrats Dina and Sid ♥️
I am excited for you and you gave me more the possibility to achieve this one day too and it's cool to see you grow up over the last 4/5 years
Congratulations Dina and Sid your new home is spacious and lovely Masha'Allah.😍😊👍
Alf Mabrouk! Super excited for you both, can’t wait to follow your new home journey.
Great character and natural light, I’d buy this house! You look gorgeous btw 😍
The 1st bedroom you went in with the wardrobe you can knock down the wall to the end room and make it a walk in wardrobe and ensuite.. making it a master bedroom.
