I think Oswald killed Victor because he noticed him gaining confidence in himself. The thought that one day he might want to overthrow him as he did his former bosses terrified Oz. He had to get Victor while is guard was down.
I thought the same, but it was weird because as soon as he mentioned being his family he got disgusted in away. So I think it was tgat and the fact that the only real family he had (his mom) told him to his face that she hated him all his life. And that’s another reason why I think he killed vic, was because family is your top weakness and from that point on he doesn’t want a weakness anymore.
Honestly I loved the whole aspect of them not mentioning Batman because in comics penguin isn’t really Batman’s main threat and Oz has always been a underground threat, so really focusing on Oz and his story was a lot better than making the main plot point of the show about “how do we run Gotham without Batman stopping us”. And another thing, is it weird I’ve seen The Batman 28 times?! Thank you guys for being inspirational and helping me through my love for cinema, you guys are PHENOMENAL!
I enjoyed this show. Alot of good suspense. They made me hate Oz, which makes him a good villain. But if I had to say anything negative, it would be how easy he got out of situations with 🔫 literally on him. And them showing Sophia burned her house down with triumph, then take everything away in the same episode. Imo should have been separate. But overall, it's a great show.
The Sopranos and The Penguin are riffing on the Oedipus complex plot as an homage to the 1949 gangster masterpiece “White Heat” with James Cagney. “Made it, Ma… top of the world!”
Absolutely freaking amazing series. Loved the character depth, writing and performances from Colin and Cristin. They really made you like a monster. Whoa whoa wait a second who's this German guy Alf weeder shine? Unsubscribed.
Mad Men, Six Feet Under, M.A.S.H. ,The Wire, The Sopranos, Deadwood, Breaking Bad, Band of Brothers, Chernobyl,... that's what PEAK television IS! The Penguin is a good limited series but doesn't even remotely come close to any these tv shows. Let's not pretend like this show was revolutionary or did something new. Everything has been done better in other shows like The Sopranos, Boardwalk Empire or Peaky Blinders.
@@clemS2 I enjoyed both shows, I was pleasantly surprised by Agatha tbh. Having said that, The Penguin was on another level entirely. It had no business being as good as it was 😂
Usually watch you guys on UA-cam, but during my long run I put it on my Spotify.. tell me why I couldn't figure out who was talking. And for completely throwing my brain for a loop the whole episode i will UNNNNSUBRIBE

Has HBO returned to form?! They've always been the crown jewel for exceptional tv. Starting the series tonight.
@@bafhouse03 Yes they have
This Batman spinoff series is an absolute masterpiece
Haha! Why is Robin Lord Taylor’s portrayal of Oz Cobblepot in Gotham not given any respect?🤔😂

Its kinda sad that the penguin is more interesting than the batman I hope they do more with Robert Pattinson's batman
You read my mind here
The villain is often more interesting than the hero.

It's so obvious that the penguin character is heavily modeled on Tony sopranos

IGN had the fucking audacity to give this a 5/20 rating, so I unsubscribed from them
Haven't listened to IGN for years, trash
And it’s the fact they said Agatha was way better 😐😐
