I love watching your reviews because of how thorough you are and focus on the details that drivers need to know - especially if they're going to be using the vehicle daily! I'm torn between this, the Explorer, and the Acadia. Do you know if the Platinum level offers ambient lighting?? Greetings from Tennessee!

Thanks so much, always great to hear when people actually like all the detail I go into! Haven't gotten into the Acadia yet but the Explorer has always been enjoyable whenever I'm in it, plus it's getting a re-design for the 2025 model.
The Platinum Pathfinder does have some subtle ambient light inside along the upper door trim and the lower part of the dash on the driver and passenger side. What are some factors you're considering for your next ride? Anything that's really important as a must have?

@@CarsWithSteve I'm looking at the fine details right now such as whether I want a V6 engine for a larger vehicle or if I could be ok in a 4 cylinder with a turbo. Other fine details include the size of the panoramic sunroof, interior lighting, and infotainment. The Explorer seems to have the larger panoramic sunroof compared to the Pathfinder (but not as big as the Acadia's BUT the Acadia doesn't have the V6 engine anymore). The Explorer also has better ambient lighting with both foot well and front row cup holder illuminations, which the Pathfinder does not have. The Pathfinder has Sirius XM Travel Link though, which is another great feature I miss. Does the '24 Explorer have Travel Link as well? Finally, the Pathfinder has better exterior color options that I wish were found on the Explorer. Lot's of little things to consider for me still!

The 2025 Explorer ST and Platinum have a twin turbo V6 that is 35%+ more powerful than the Pathfinder.. but it's pricier in comparison. The current generation Explorer has travel link but I'm not sure about the 2025 models as Ford is making the switch to a next gen Android Automotive OS instead, which is going to give it a boat load of additional features including gaming capabilities and video playback

Well I hate to admit it but it looks like Nissan did a nice job

It does help that this is the highest trim level but outside of some graphic upgrades I'd like to see in the cluster and infotainment.. it is a surprisingly good suv
