- Welcome to our second video and our first demo showing you guys how we use some of our mods.
Please note the items we talk about in this video cannot be purchased as a pack as we have individually sourced each and every one to suit our own needs. Hopefully some of what we talk about might be helpful if you are currently weighing up various can storage options.

Love how organised this is. And the simplicity of it all! We have a vw crafter, and been thinking about adding a drawer to the boot area to maximise space along with storage boxes, like the stackable ones you have used there. Great vid. Looking forward to finding out about your rack set up too, as we're looking to add some storage on our rack. You've clearly done a lot of research and thought about how you want to use the van.
Hey Will, thank you for your comments and as you know the possibility of modifying these vans is endless, especially because we all have different needs but the fun thing about it is finding and perfecting what works with the space you have for your needs. Definitely recommend the sliding drawer though as it makes life so much easier because you can utilise the complete space you have with being able to easily get to items at the back. This evening we are uploading a new video based on the pop top roof and rack so tune it and hopefully you might find it interesting 🚐

Love the way this looks like it should all be there. Not seen many California Beach videos with the 3 seater bench on UA-cam. Would be good to see how you switch the layout from day to bedtime

Great storage optimization. I'm looking for a similar solution to store all cooking accessories for a California T6.1 Beach. Could you please list the sizes of the 25 l and 10 l euro storage boxes (L X W X H)?
Nice video and really like the look and organisation of the van. I’ve got the same camper on order and useful to see from somebody with kids. Few questions if you don’t mind. Do you have a net behind those top boxes to stop them flying forward, or do the headrests do that job? I’ve heard travelling Europe might be an issue with boxes on the roof, do you have any experience with that? Are you windows the standard tint, or have you put limo tint on?

I aslo have cali beach, you are not overloaded? i have standard suspension with bf goodriches and if i load up the rear to much i see the rear go down... i think in the back i can only put like max 250 kg roughly. In Belgium we can not lift the suspension so :/
Hi there, I'll definitely be ordering the sliding draw. It's been on my wishlist for a long time. Just one Q. - why did you opt for a 60cm draw and not 90cm? I figured 90cm will cover the whole space if you always leave the read seat in the position for reclining for sleeping. Simply for maximising the day space. I'd be interested to see how you manage the storage space left vacant behind the sliding draw.
Hi Julian, we opted for the 60cm draw so that the rear seat is positioned as far back as possible to give us optimum living space inside our van 🚐
@@four_wheel_adventures OK I've almost completed an identical setup. I bought a 65cm deep draw which is a gamechanger. The only issue i have in the clearance under the multiflex. Your Euroboxes must have a slightly lower profile to mine, as i can only fit them under the multiflex without a lid on the lower box. plus there's now room for the silicon bowl on top of the boxes. Have you got a link for your boxes as I'd be curiouos to compare dimensions!
Great setup. The sticker made me thinking they were front runner boxes, not eBay specials. Look good! And love that shower setup. Is it a 12v one or battery pack?
Thank you Rob for your comments. Yes it’s not the first time someone has thought the boxes are by Front Runner as it’s mainly the sticker pack we received with the roof rack we’ve used to decorate them. This latest shower we have is a battery version because we can take it to the beach with a large bottle of water to rinse our feet etc as the battery lasts ages and we then just charge it back up when we get back to the van 🚐
Another comment, how do you keep the tailgate up with the weight of a wheel and box on there..?
We have upgraded the gas struts on the tailgate to 1600nm ones supplied by Hess Campers which are online so you can order these directly from their website and they were fitted by @vwt5_upgrades (check them out on Instagram as they are the oracle when it comes to this kind of stuff). Great video, do you have links for the Euroboxes and the shower..?
Hi Simon, unfortunately no links as we sourced the boxes and shower from eBay / Amazon some time ago. I’m sure you can still get the boxes and they come in various sizes which is really good as you can mix and match depending on what you need. The shower is a battery pack one so that we can use it on the beach if need be and then recharge it when back at the van and I’m sure there will be many of these available still. What you have achieved with your well considered bespoke pull-out kitchen is akin to the German made VanEssa mobilcamping units that replace the removable rear shelf in the Beach. It is far more practical to access your kitchen facilities from under the rear door as you have done, than cooking inside. For examples of this, and all things to make your Kombi into a true adventure van (here in Oz, anyway) you may be interested in the Https:/UA-cam.com/c/vwkombiman channel.

Mate - love your van and you seem like a really sound bloke too but sadly for me the audio on this made it practically unwatchable. Either get a dead cat for your mic or, better still - close mic yourself for a video like this with a wireless lavalier with a dead cat on that - will make a world of difference and take your videos to the next level. Trying to be constructive with my feedback (enough trolls on here) - if you need any help or advice on sound then drop me a PM as I do this semi-professionally. Happy to help.
