The best rendition on UA-cam. I saw him twice in Toronto. We had seats way back in the theatre. Both times they decided to place the sound board across our seats, so they moved us to the 2nd row each time. I should have bought a lottery ticket! I saw Gary, Devo, and the B-52's all in about a 2 month span. Great times!
Yes seen him live many a Time in Cardiff back in the 80s great times me and my girl friend loved him.I miss those times what the heck gone wrong with music today sad.But hope is Gary and the music he's doing is still great thanks.
Oh the memories..take me back 40 some years!!! REPLICAS , Gary Numan forever and we all have a friend called 5 take care everyone luv from Canada 🇨🇦📀pure gold!!! L
Agreed, but you might be surprised to hear Genesis' 'Back in NYC' synth-based intro' from 1974. Maybe Peter Gabriel was on the same wavelength earlier? ua-cam.com/video/joqO4Kllms4/v-deo.html&list=OLAK5uy_nVQrFuADnIqRMtr4REk4da-ybMZF1gvKs&index=8
I just want everyone here to know I lost my soulmate last year and gary has made up for me losing him my soulmate was also a very famous singer and musician bless him
"I've seen an agent punch through a concrete wall; men have emptied entire clips at them and hit nothing but air; yet, their strength, and their speed, are still based in a world that is built on rules. Because of that, they will never be as strong, or as fast, as *you* can be. "-Morpheus, _The Matrix_. Still love the song, though.
The Machmen in this song are Replicants. Machines covered in human flesh. The whole Replicas album is a sci-fi concept album. Lyrically it's superb. Think "Blade Runner" but two or three years before that movie. Very much ahead of it's time. Not about aliens as such....
Berserker Phil Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep? Philip K. Dick. Blade Runner was based on a book by PKD. You mean old books?" "Stories written before space travel but about space travel." "How could there have been stories about space travel before --" "The writers," Pris said, "made it up.” ― Philip K. Dick, Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep?
Berserker Phil Yes you are correct, it was a couple of years before Bladerunner, however, "Do Androids Dream Electric Sheep?" by Philip K Dicks, is the story Bladerunner was created from. Which, was released a few years before Replicas, and most likely, the sci-fi novel Gary Numan wrote as a youngster and based much of his lyrical creativity in the early days on, I suspect, is heavily inspired by that story. Check out P K Dicks other works, literally amazing writing, never read such a captivating author.

Gary NUMAN does have a unique voice, just like other legends 🛑(full stop).
He's quite simply a genius. I could just listen to his voice endlessly
ENDLESSLY, 👻.
After decades and decades have gone by it's still BADASS.
This song ROCKS the Universe. This will be playing at my funeral. I will be in the PARK at that time with GARY.

Il n'y a rien a dire, sauf, 1 commentaire, c'est un "king".
It would have been great seeing the bass and guitar player throwing down with this tune. But damn, what a groove!!!
I just want everyone here to know I lost my soulmate last year and gary has made up for me losing him my soulmate was also a very famous singer and musician bless him
Nice
Gazza rocks!
Lousy mix, but it is such a killer song: I mean, TURN UP THE SYNTH! That little synth figure is the best part of the song!

Still love the song, though.
Human gave us him
Age ain't been kind to his looks, but DAMN it hasn't taken away his stage presence and pipes one bit.
He's still cute
What 😮 I think he's got better looking as he's gotten older

Dude always looks like he's about to kick your ass.
A buddy told me the song is actually about Aliens.

Numan wrote a sci-fi novel?
👍🙂👍
I wonder did Gary Newman cop Trent Reznor Style or was it the other way around?
Gary was first.Trent is def a electronic (since1990) wizard as well!saw them live!
Trent Reznor was hugely influence by Numans music, he said he listened to Telekon on his drive to the recording studio all the time.
This is where ?
I could, until I heard Gazelle Twin! Still, Numan is a god, non-the-less!
why does your friend say that?
dude...
