Yo! This is surreal haha, always takes me by surprise to see these kinds of videos. It's crazy to think about how big some silly modpack I made has gotten and reached so many people, I still have a hard time believing it to this day. Really awesome vid, appreciate the kind words and was impressed with the knowledge and research put into this! Only a couple minor things weren't entirely correct, like RLCoop for Unreal was actually originally made somewhere around 2008, and RLCraft up until version 2.5 when my initial video blew up, was only me. There was no team yet haha. Great stuff, such a pleasant surprise, am honored to see a video like this. Gave a phat like and sub, keep up the good work and happy RLCrafting! o7
That's awesome to hear you enjoyed the video man! Really enjoyed looking into the history of it, it's always cool to trip back in time, and thank you for clarifying those couple things. I look forward to what the future has in store for the modpack.
Honestly RLCraft would be a lot better if the xp requirement for skills was replaced by a more typical rpg xp bar, leveling up with use but make it take a bit to still progress but with a decent slowdown after iron, further decreasing it after diamond and it becomes a crawl after dragonbone
I remember the only time i played RLCraft for longer than an hour i removed the tough as nails mod. I found the most fun out of exploring dungeons and slowly making progress and not having to leave and bother with temperate lol. Never even knew about any of the bosses and stuff till ages after i played unfortunately. It was fun though as it did indeed feel like a completely new game with all the structures and stuff, so it didnt really matter about the bosses.
i was mindlessly munching on a late night snack before i realized this channel isn't one of those main stream channels... the quality it top-tier, keep up the good work!! you're def going to blow up one day :D
I hage a feeling it’s gonna blow up bc I don’t think I’ve seen your channel and it’s being recommended to me and my friends! The algorithm is pushing it!! I hope you are proud of your work
From my experience with RLCraft, it is just disappointing. I honestly thought it would be a lot harder to progress in, but it wasn't. All it took was to get life steal with a good Tide Guardian, and then you're basically unkillable. Sure, I haven't completed it yet, but I am looking forward to it. If there is one reason why RLCraft got its title for the hardest modpack, it's because people struggle with crafting basic tools to progress, which makes it "hard." Here some very useful things I learned Don't go mining; it will slow your progression. Instead, look for dungeons or, preferably, battle towers. With just a pickaxe, a weapon, and blocks, you don't need anything else to do them, so mine every spawner you find. Use all your XP to level up skills, so you don't die with it and lose most of it.
I personally never got into RLCraft. I tried it, wasn't a big fan of it. Why? Because the difficulty isn't a fair difficulty. It's not something where "if you're good, you can manage" It's purely "if you get a lucky spawn and don't have one of the many Wither level mobs right on your spawn and just run away from everything else, you might be able to get by." I like difficulty, but I like it to have fairness and rules. I like something where I can reasonably actually get better at it and it will show even if I start fresh, not something where I'm only "getting better at it" because I've been playing the same world/character/file long enough that my character can take a hit. I'm not a fan of unfair difficulty like end game enemies spawning next to you when you first load up the world. To each their own, of course, but that sort of difficulty has never been fun for me, and I've never understood the fun people have putting such "difficulty" into games. On that note, however, I have been trying to make my own difficult modpack, what I feel RLCraft should have been like. A challenging but fair pack, more like a "Kaizo Mario level" than a "little Timmy's first Mario Maker level", to compare it to another game. Using the very simple mod at the core of Terrafirmacraft.
i hate when they make modpacks "hard" by just making it tedious to do basic things. same as all the omi, nomi etc factory modpacks where its just extremely tedious work. Or just adding sponge enemies, or things that kill you immidietally, from the start, Make it hard to fight them, not hard to kill them. Make it so they dont spawn when the player is brand new. etc.
56% of players play in creative, they don't care about survival and its low difficulty. And of those who play survival (44%), most never go to the end or the nether, according to Mojang reports. For that reason they improved the nether to encourage players to go to other dimensions. They don't go because it's too difficult. Only a few complain that the game has become easy.
There's a old modpack called blood and bones it was a hard-core modpack that is old compared to rlcraft but it's still good, if anything it pioneered hard-core mod packs
RLCraft has been and probably always will be my favorite modpack for minecraft. Vanilla is too easy now, I don't really even enjoy it. RLCraft pains me on a near daily basis, but I keep going back for more. Definitely give it a shot!
Great video! It'd be cool if you could look at other modpacks out there. If you thought RLCraft was hard you should have a look at other packs such as GregTech: New Horizons
Terra firma craft is way more real life, since when are strange monsters in real life? RLcraft is nothing like tera firma craft. Terra firma craft has block gravity physics etc, you have the ages just like the iron age etc.
Too bad that this pack is still just a streamer bait. If you actually want to play a challenging adventure modpack, play Roguelike Adventures and Dungeons 2 instead.
Thank you for watching! If you enjoyed the video it'd mean the world to me if you subscribed... no pressure of course.
I am lol
Hardest modpack you say? Have you ever played Gregtech: New Horizons?

Dungeons and the threat of spawning groo (or whatever that freak is called) basically make mining completely unnecessary and discouraged in RLcraft

This is gonna blow up, trust me.
As a random person who got this recommended at like 900 views despite not really caring about rlcraft, agree.
@@sythrus Same man, this video just slipped into my recommendations and I clicked it just cus I was bored...
Can agree the vid is really neat tho
Yep, I just got recommended this, and I don't know this UA-camr
Not complaining though. I occasionally do watch Minecraft
@@dogyX3 2.5k sofar, so it does seem to be booming
not really

completly aggre
Thank you for the comment! I've heard of TerraFirmaCraft recently, will definitely take a look into it.

only 900 views? this deserves more
vintage story has some big rlcraft vibes
The time to put all together... Great video!
Appreciate it, thank you!
iconic. here’s to the future of the best goddamn modpack out there
There are even harder mod packs now, but none are quite as sadistic as rlcraft…
gregtech new horizons
gave it a try recently, had a pure 15 minute torture until i said NEVER AGAIN
btw nice vid and unique idea
skill issue
IIRC RLCraft isn't even meant to be hard, just unfair - great content for streamers. The actual hardest modpack would be something like TerraFirmaGreg
I did not know rl craft existed, until I watched this video April 19th 2023
Theres also hardcore config which is even harder
and yea, vanilla Minecraft is too easy and boring so it was a amazing discovery when i found rlcraft
RLcraft is easy af. Check out Greg tech new horizon for an actual hard modpack
i believe eyemaz from blood n bones want's to have a word with you
Next vedio for Stingin King of RL Craft
