The Trunks and Z Broly are a free unit you get from the story mode, but you don't get them until damn near the end because they pretty much left the story mode on the back burner while investing most their efforts into the big celebrations and shit

The story mode is basically just a little story questline made for Dokkan with Trunks investigating strange occurances in history. Similar to the story of the Dragonball Xenoverse videogame. Also this SSJ Trunks & SSJ Broly will eventually awaken into a Legendary character. So more animations of them are coming.
In defense of Dokkan's gameplay: I think the bubble popping thing is just kind of supplementary. The majority of the game is strategy based, like building teams based off of synergistic abilities and knowing where to put your characters to guard or attack at certain times. Each event has a different team that can be called the best one for the said event. You can build teams based of certain gimmicks, or just optimize them to win hard events. for instance, you can make a team of 6 different Vegito cards, or a team of transforming characters, or teams of Goku's entire family including Bardock and Raditz. Thats the main appeal of the game for me at least. Bubble popping is just kind of a relic of how the game was initially developed.
Its sick to see a team you built go through all these awesome recreations of animations from the show too, but I get the game has a pretty niche appeal.

That bulma is the one of if not the best character in the game. Damage reduction, guard, buffs allies, and puts out ok damage.
That VERY special surprise at the end was superb, a way better announcement than I could've anticipated at all. I have enjoyed your reactions to the animations and osts since the beginning and was always excited to see how you would react to a variety of different characters and their features. Now lets hope some character development happens and you go from a Dokkan HATER to a Dokkan ENJOYER?

This might be your coolest video yet, and honestly i did not expect the fan animations to go this HARD. ESPECIALLY THAT ZAMASU like god damn why are they better then the actual game itself 😭, and the ending actually caught me off guard, I am so down if you actually play dokkan. Also PLEASE WATCH THE DBZ KAKAROT SCENES THEY ALSO GO EXTREMELY HARD, great video keep up the work :)

LR Bulma changes all ki spheres on screen to red, buffs the crap out of everyone, and if she’s the one who gets all those red spheres: she heals like a mad lad due to type match. She can basically full heal, buff, and guarantee a busted Ultimate attack on any character on rotation. She’s honestly one of the best characters in game
LR Corrupted Zamasu is also pretty busted due his domain. When activated, he takes 0 damage period and all ultimate has AOE. The strongest in the game so far

One of the buffs she gives to allies is making them Super Effective against all types.
Which she is the only one character in the game to even do that I believe, no other unit gives Super effective against every typing.
I STILL get goosebumps from Future Gohan's active skill.
The SSJ/SSJ2 Vegeta from the Battle of Gods movie is ( if I remember correctly ) the only banner unit ( A.K.A side unit to the main Dokkanfest which was God Goku ) that has a voice active skill transformation. He's really good for a banner unit. Better compared to most main Dokkanfest units. A lot of people were actually disappointed that they wasted that Vegeta as a banner unit considering he could have been another Dokkanfest.
Yajirobe also has a voiced active skill i believe

26:51 It's a new mechanic called "Domain" (Domain expension lmao), it changes the field and gives buff and debuff (Infinite Zamasu increase all dmg taken by Super class allies and ennemies by 30%)
The new Gohan also have this for the Extreme class
And yeah, they fucked up Trunks.. I love him by heart but everyone is saying it's lame and I understand.
The standby and OST carry him. I DO understand the underwhelming active skill, like a move so powerful it ERASES your opponent like an hakai but atleast do both.. Or maybe like, if it doesn't kill it's the big explosion and if it does kill do the "hakai" version because it doesn't make sense seeing the opponent disappearing but the fight continues.
BUT WHAT I HATE AND CAN'T BE OK WITH IT IT'S THAT TRUNKS DOESN'T HAVE A SINGLE K.O SCREEN AND THAT'S A NOPE FOR ME

Everyone wanted goku Black alongside trunks, I was disappointed when I saw another gohan but that emotional nuke they dropped made me change my mind, tears combined with shock hits diffrent
Domain’s apply a status condition on every single unit there. Zamasu’s is to make Super class enemies and allies take 30% more damage are Gohan’s is the same but for Extreme class enemies and allies.
The reason you don’t understand Trunks and Broly is because it is dokkan’s first orginal unit made for the story of the game.

Everyone was up in arms about the Trunks animation ending that way, it is honestly one of the worst animations because of how a much older Trunks unit has an actual climactic version of the same attack. Also please stop watching the sped up videos, he's got them at 2x speed which Dokkan doesn't do. The Dokkan speed up mode is 1.75x at most, and all the jank around setting the video speed and getting K.O screens and animations in the correct order really messes with the flow. Reaction content is usually super lazy but you aren't like that, you add and give your opinions with a perspective players of the game don't have. Having the playlist mess up and get in the way of that is annoying, and I'm sure it must have annoyed you too. That's my only criticism and it's not even on you. Thanks for the content.

Another two things I'd like to add because you asked for clarification and I don't know if someone has given it yet.
1. The Domain ability what Infinite Zamasu & SSJ Future Gohan have basically gives a buff to a specific group of characters for a set amount of turns.
2. As for you being caught up I'm not so sure about that. If there's one character I haven't seen appear in any of the videos it's the LR TEQ SSJ/Legendary SSJ Broly from his second movie. Also if I'm not mistaken I haven't seen LR Nappa that exchanges into Vegeta in any of the videos but I could be mistaken. A short bit of Nappa's animations were shown in this video when he kills Piccolo. Simply put I don't think your caught up because the order of animations was a bit messy but you don't have to watch every single one.
33:37 for this unit’s attack, it specifies that you can’t use things like kid Goku, Goku Black, or Goku Jr, but if you do like a saiyan saga Goku, you’ll get the same result as a T.O.P Goku

@@zero38xt It's that and she essentially wishes for everyone to get stronger, so rotation and attack and defense for your rotation of characters when she does it. Dokkan does sometimes absolutely kill it with thematic powers like that

With the Babidi unit, when Majin Vegeta comes out he doesn't attack or anything, he just shouts "I won't obey Babidi's order!" And tank hits while you gather energy for Buu. Also, the way giants and rage forms work is that the unit that transforms is the only unit attacking for a few turns, typically 3, and they take no damage during the attack period. The Shenron Bulma unit active skill I'm pretty sure just buffs your team like crazy. Might heal, I don't remember, nor do I have the unit. With Dr Wheelo, unless you count Dragon Ball Devolution this is one of 2 games he's in. Yes I was typing and updating this throughout the video.

The crazy part of the game is that some characters dokkan releases are the ones you wouldnt expect and theyre some of the best units in the game. Like that bulma from dragonball? The best unit in the game. If she isnt shes still top 3 or 4

Super Dragon Ball Heroes content in Dokkan is usually the end of November, and usually somewhat runs parallel to whatever's already going on in November. As it stands, JP Dokkan's doing a filler celebration with the Gohan and Piccolo unit you saw here, with some sort of part 2 slated to come soon, which will run alongside Heroes.
Global Dokkan's getting the Super Full Power Super Saiyan 4 Goku instead, as it's their "Thank-You Celebration" timeslot. In Japan, this is known as Tanabata, but that doesn't translate the best. JP Dokkan had this about 6 months ago I think? There's a part 2 slated for Global as well, though it's unsure whether part 2 is LR Omega Shenron (who came with Goku on JP), or a filler banner. Global Dokkan is known for fucking up the release schedule. And again, alongside whatever LR comes will be Heroes at the end of November.
On both versions there will be a celebration in the beginning of December, we don't know what JP will have as the newest Dokkanfest, but Global will get either the SSJ into Super Trunks you saw, or the ToP 17+18. And then the end of December is the New Years collab unit, who we also don't know what it will be. At this time there's also a step-up banner, basically allowing players to summon for older units. Quality on this banner varies.

To answer your question about the active skills, they're always a 1 off thing you can do. So once you use them (like 23rd world tournament goku) they go back to the unit they were before or are in a transformed state. It's weird from an I guess thematic standpoint since in that example goku lands on the ground and that ends the fight but from a gameplay one they're just usually powerful abilities you can use once only. They usually have turn based restriction like once 5 turns have gone by and that's usually accompanied by an HP restriction. So for an example say that they made a base gogeta that goes blue for the rest of the fight. The active skill requirements could be "transforms into gogeta blue once 6 turns have elapsed and HP is at 60% or less". Once you meet those requirements then you can use it. The ones with the 17 and 18 and goku usually don't have specific requirements for units. They usually say if there's a unit with the name goku on the turn then it activates but most of the time you could bring in a super saiyan goku and it work. They aren't specific to which one it actually is
Yooooo Ribrianne best and most hyped unit ever let's gooooooooo, this totally isn't sarcasm...totally. I like them but that's due to me liking the magical girl genre but damn they took the spot of other more hyped characters for a summonable lr. Which btw some of the units you saw were from free units like the Wheelo, hercule and some others.
Edit: what makes the future gohan one funny is that the sword of hope trunks came out at the same exact time.
She's the best character because She tanks everything, does ok, not great, but decent damage, and supports both of your rotations with an amazing amount of stats. She's legitimately the best unit in the game with the LR STR Gohan and the LR TEQ Zamasu fighting for second.
Tek zamasu is worse than Piccolo IMO. A lot of other people think that too

when worldwide celebration or anniversary begin at both side JP & global server, they come to griding & summon until top grossing reward is dropped out.
even not in the both side server campaign, we have a hype banner drop in some monthly event to still get top grossing (like this month event & summon for GT celebration.)

Bulma is one of the best in the game because she can hold herself on battle pretty easily with almost every defensive option a unit can have, she creates orbs (bubbles) from a specific type that is like a "jack of all trades" so everyone can take advantage of them, and then most notably she has a 2 turn support, the game consists on 2 rotations of characters on a team of 7, where you can keep 2 on the same rotation and the other float off into the other one, a 2 turn support if you don't float her off is just a permanent buff that is actually notorious on the way the game does math to calculate buffs and stats.

Why the fanmade zamasu go harder than the one we have rn
So some cool things about some units in this. Zamasu who goes into the sky and future gohan (with goku and piccolo) have a thing called “domain” its kind of like a card game where you use a field changing card that affects everyone on the field. Zamasu buffs world bosses (something like that) sword of hope trunks did have a disappointing ender because they pulled it from xenoverse 2 cinematic cutscene not the anime. The anime ending already is in the game in the form of teq trunks. Thats why they didnt do it again much to everyones chagrin

Bulma is the best, she has guard for several turns, builds damage reduction, does decent damage, changes orbs, increases atk and def per orb obtained, has additional SA guaranteed, gives support for 2 turns to all allies, her active skill gives even more support and heals you completely because they are orbs of the same color as her and as incredible as it may seem, she has very good synergy with orange piccolo, which is still in the top 3 of the game despite soon turning one year old.
Just a recommendation but you should for sure lower your mic volume, when you talk it’s insanely hard to hear anything happening in the dokkan videos
