I sailed on her 32 years ago a wonderful time spent in below decks watching all that well oiled machinery and having the odd pump of the oiler myself. A very happy crew and the food was good too as was the beer. Shes a remarkable vessel and its no wonder people from all over the world make her their destination. I did not know the ship but I asked when do you leave and the bloke said now I said do you come back here and he said yes so we boarded. I see below has been upgraded and we didnt have all that mess on the deck nor all those people there were about 20 in total so almost a private cruise.
Thanks for the video. The Waverley is a fantastic golden oldie of a paddle boat. It goes down South and right up the far north of the country doing trips. where did they advetise the trip & the Puffin Island one?. In Frodsham moored up near the swing bridge is another lovely ship. Only its a beautiful steam ship called the Danny been lovingly restored. You can cruise & have a meal as you sail along
It was advertised on waverley excursions website I'm sailing on her again later this year from Southend to London round trip. The danny is one I want to go on. Thanks for the comment
