Here's a fun bingo card for the comment section...
1) "Everyone knows where you are" comments. I know, it's not a secret, but saying "undisclosed location" is gonna make so many people comment.
2) "You're not throwing the net right" comments. Don't care.
3) "You're not letting it sink" comments. Yes I am.
4) "You're trespassing/breaking the law" comments. I don't care.
5) "You should have gone down the slide" comments. I seriously thought about it, was too scared I'd get injured.

Thank you so I’m so excited for this!!
Awesome video! Everybody in TX/LA knows exactly where you are. So cool, drove by a thousand times always wondering...
Very near to me 😂
@doxop it was called Lacassine Water Park, it's near Lake Charles, LA, off the I-10
Does it get patrolled by cops/security?
Go to the old jazzland in New orleans
@@jonathannecesssary3393 it's on the list
this is my favorite kind of content of yours... fishing in niche/desolate industrial areas. hope to see more soon!
It's cool to finally see what it looks like up close. Passed by it countless times from the interstate.
I Thoroughly enjoyed this video! Of course I enjoy all of your videos. You’re not only a really good fisherman but you tell us why and hell also when. So I appreciate it brother! I just asked for one thing more videos like this in abandon areas.
to be able to go to a place like that and be able to catch is fish has always been one of my dreams! I wish I could’ve gone there as well! I’m glad somebody figured out about this.
I used to watch all the fishing shows on Sat and Sun back in the 90s and on one of the shows gone fishing he actually fished in a man made river in a mall and was catching all kinds of fish. It reminds me of the Lazy River you got the bass in. Great Video.
Two thing fascinate me about this, the net and how it works and the fact that there is fish in a puddle? Where did it come from?
For anyone wondering, it was called Pirate's Cove Water Park, it's near Lake Charles, LA, off the I-10
The park was never opened
Can you imagine sinking that much time and money into a project that never opened? It actually made it kind of sad to be there.
They had an issue with water supply that caused them to not open
@@aaronlandry6461 yea I know, I was following their facebook page ever since I seen another YT make a video here. It was pretty cool seeing it be fished/netted though!
@@wildlifefishingshow yea, there was A LOT of bumps in the road, it really seemed like someone didn't want that park opening at all.
Dude that was so cool! Next time you should try fishing lures!
It is wonderful to watch your fishing adventures. As a young boy in So Cal I always thought is there fish in that creek or pond. Thanks.
Let's go. Love your content bro. Awesome videos. Keep them coming
This water park is over by the town that I live in. It wasn't really abandoned. It was literally never opened. Towns fighting over water rights and a whole bunch of different issues. I'm glad someone is getting some use out of it.
You live in the Iowa/Lake Charles area?
I’ve seen that one in Louisiana
It’s in lacassine la
That's the park
pirates cove
I used to work for the USDA ARS and our unit's research is developing environmentally and economically friendly and sustainable farm practices. A quote from our much loved and respected unit leader:
"Build it and they will come."
And indeed, the wildlife did come to our created wetlands systems, including fish. Fish eggs or escaped fish brought by birds, frogs, etc.
Thanks for answering this question. I always wondered. Great video
Wow. With the size of the bass I’d say they were growing for 2 year’s minimum. Nice lil 1 1/2 pounder. I bet there’s a 3 pounder in there for sure. Crazy how in just a few year’s you can grow a decent sized bass out of thin air.
As a truck driver I know exactly where you at awesome video man keep up the good work
Now that was awesome. What a cast with that net!
Man I'd love to turn that place into a bigass aquaponics farm! The layout would be absolutely awesome for setting up a bunch of different zones for different fish, and lots of grow beds around the water. I could grow a crazy amount of organic veggies and fruits there and barely ever use any water from outside.
How cool! Amazing how fish can be in areas you wouldn’t necessarily think they’d be. Best guess is birds.
i saw a aligator teech me how to fish keep the fish
#4. Your trespassing /breaking the law
Wildlife: i dont give a fuuuuuuck! Hell yea brother 💪 gotta risk it for the biscuit
Risk nothing, gain nothing 👍
Yeah crazy there fish in there pools
Are the fish put in for mosquito abatement? California is known to keep the bugs and disease down by releasing fish into stagnant water.
It's very likely that's where some of them came from
This was epic!
Looks frigging hot Bro, Kewl video and Fish On!!!
Nice video man love your videos keep up the good work I appreciate your videos, this is a awesome video man I love it and I try to watch all of your videos those were some nice bass
I recognize this place. It’s 3-4 miles from me. Cool vid!
That was awesome! Glad you didn’t try one of the slides though, probably would have ended up with a post apocalyptic butt injury from a fiberglass splinter! 😆
Looks like Splashtown to me. I spent many summers there as a kid.
The small sunfish was surprising but like that healthy 1 pound bass or so that's absolutely crazy
I was very surprised
@@wildlifefishingshow ya I would be too
The anxiety I got from the cut slide shots lol
You find the craziest spots!
I had a laugh. This place couldn't have been safe- those landing pools look way too tiny. Apparently this park never even opened because they couldn't get enough water for it. I love your content!
This place never opened. The build was abandoned.
It always amazes me the bodies of water that have fish living in them.
looks like the one off I-10 in Iowa, Louisiana between Lake Charles and Lafayette. You can see and hear I-10 in background.
It is
Thanks for the video 👍😀
Awesome idea. Great video you allways keep it interesting. Thanks for sharing keep em comming and stay safe god bless
Thanks!
Sad, this park never made it to opening day. I sincerely feel bad for the owner.
Looks like LA off I10..... cool video!
Fish could have been added to keep mosquitoes down.
Looks like fun exploring that apocalyptic park. Didnt bring a rod? You would have had fun casting for those bass
You are an adventurer! Be careful out there!
Wow! Hope they don't see this video, you could be in some trouble from them! Glad you're safe!
Louisiana 🤣🤣. We waited for ever for it to open and never did! So sad
Awesome video brother that would be cool
That's an abandoned water park. Cool video
I’m still curious as to how the got in there. Like someone drop eggs in or just somehow water from a river or something came in. Nature WILL always take it back if it’s left too long. This channel came up as suggested. Love it.
I had the same question
@@gemsdevelopmentfoundation3242 cause if there isn’t a water flow into those from somewhere, how lol. I’m genuinely curious now.
Water park was developed then after it was almost complete and they started looking at running water to the park it was found it would have cost more than the owners were willing to spend so they cut there loses. It would have cost to much to get water to it due to no city water access
birds can potentially carry fish eggs from one place to another is my theory
@@conalmcallister6415 I figured they die by being digested. I thought. But definitely a strong possibility. If it flooded they could’ve been carried over as well. Definitely some possibilities tho.
I like these type of videos, very cool
The water park never opened and has sat abandoned the whole time ☹️ You were one of the first visitors
Crazy how nature will find a way...
Did you save little Johnny 🤣🤣
That was all the room he was going to give us to slide into?! No wonder he didn’t get the permit to open. Not to mention it was impossible to get water to 😂
The fish are put in there by vector control to keep the mosquitoes down
This is a great video!
Imagine throwing all the invasive pleco's and Mayan cichlids in there. Those pleco's would have that place spotless.
It would be fun to look into the micro biome as well in a place like that
Surprised a gator doesn’t live there.
‘You kicked it’ haha
I was wondering what it looked like up close. I passed by that park a lot this year. I wish it would've been still open so I could've went. I hope you had some fun!
I live close to this place the park never even opened up!
@@amandamallett7374 that's crazy huh. I wonder why it never opened. Looks like it would've been a lot of fun.
need to more abadoned places cast netting !! Awesome video bro 👍
Definitely! It's pretty hard to find good spots so if you know of any, send them my way and I'll try to film it 👍
Ill try to find some 👍
" I am absolutely shocked I haven't seen an alligator yet. This is the exactly the type of place I would expect to find one"...
WATCH OUT!!
It's probably hiding in the tall grass!! 😲
😆
Had a place similar to that where I live. It was built very close to a river and large reservoir in the state. It ended up being a haven for alligators until the finally filled in all the old pools.
Wonder what it would cost to clean that place up and actually open it.
*NICE! :D*
Cool video!…. But the heat is a different story 🥵🐟
Shoulda brought some burlap sacks and hit some slides! The net was also a good idea...
Casually net a largemouth bigger than one I've ever caught before!
Cool video. Thanks
LoL good to see the I-10 park is good for something.
Cool Ass Video, It was interesting to watch, good work, thanks.............
Would you look at that, Bass in the lazy river. Just look at it! 😂
The abandoned water park on Beechnut. Fun City.
That water park never opened. I live a few towns over and been watching it being built since I was about 6 years old and I’m 33 now. It’s such a shame it never had a chance.
This has actually only been being built since 2008. I am from lacassine and was a freshman when they started passing out flyers for jobs there.
Abandoned water park becoming an ideal spot for fishing lol
nice keep up the diff stuff i lie watching diff kinds of fishing!
Awesome video
Absolutely shocked you didn't see an alligator.
San Dimas! Radical!!!!
I remember white water in Atlanta ended up all over the news with an E coli outbreak if I remember correctly back in the day which was apparently due to fecal matter in the water. I used to love water parks so much growing up but after that, that thought is always stuck in my head of all the nasty people who s*** in the pool or let their kids s*** in the pool.
It always amazes me how fish actually make it into these types of ponds.
Most likely from floods of close by rivers and creeks.
Eggs that get stuck on waterfowl feet and feathers too.
@@michaelspunich7273 didn't think about that possibility.
Midwest tornadoes sometimes create egg/fry rain. Not talking poultry. Fish KY
It must be a pretty healthy environment. That bass he pulled out was chunky.
That water temperature must have been just short of a cup of coffee.
The whole place felt like a really dirty sauna.
@@wildlifefishingshow de tt ripper
Now they tell me you cant catch fish on swimming pool🤣🤣🤣
That's so Crazy bro 🤣
There was a turtle in the pool at 8:21, middle screen takes cover real fast
That water park in Lacassine was never opened. They tried for years but they never could get approval for things!
Looks like the one off I10 headed to Baton Rouge from Texas
👍👍👍👍
I see you're down here in my AO along Interstate 10 in Louisiana
Are we currently living in a post-apocalyptic or pre-apocalyptic era?
If we described the current state of the environment to anyone living 150 years ago they would definitely say it's a post apocalyptic era.
That place never opened homie😂😂
And?
I knew the second I saw one of those palm trees!
20 minutes from my home and waited years for this place to open and it never did.
Welcome to lacassine Louisiana 😅💁🏻♂️
I've been adding fish to those pools for 3 years
Bass in The Lazy River.......Come as you are!
When I saw u weren't relocating I decided to leave 🐟🐠🐟🐠
Relocating fish is not the good idea you think it is. It's the Disney movie watcher's idea of conservation, lol
is that place next to a lake or river . how did the fish get in there
Was I the only one that wanted him to go through one of the slides
How do the fish get in? Thoughts? Thanks
I don’t think that place ever opened. I heard some rich people in the town close by helped to stop the owner from getting water to run the park. And drilling a well would cost way too much money. Then of course add two guan hurricanes a month apart and your sunk.
Cool vid
