Daaaang!!! Exactly why I don't like to stay at the non branded hotels/motels. And like Karla said you expect it to be at least nice due to it being located across from Knotts

I usually stay at The Holiday Inn in Buena Park and it’s a pretty good hotel, it’s on Beach Blvd close to the 91. Try staying there next time!
We normally stay at the Knott's Hotel, but they were fully booked for the night, and since it was a last minute stay we just wanted a room near the Knott's Hotel since our friends were there.

That place is beyond skanky! Where in Buena Park? We usually stay at the Courtyard by Marriott when we stay in Buena Park. What motel was this?

Beach Blvd hotels are shady. Low prices, but many of the hotels are long term stays. Not for tourists.
I had looked at that "motel" because their prices were reasonable, and the overall rating wasn't horrible. But some of the reviews on Trip Advisor made it sound risky, but based on your review, it definitely sounds like a dump. There are some reviews on other hotels/motels in the area that mention the drug situation. There only appear to be 2-3 places to stay in the area that are safe bets, in addition to Knott's hotel. So glad to hear it all worked out for you, and you had a place to stay after that disaster.

I stood there about 4 years ago , it was actually clean but we heard knocking noise all night not able to sleep they didn’t want to work with us and refund at least half of the money it was crazy , never again.

Any old school small drive up places built in the 50s 60s era is risky. Stick with main brands or Knotts.

That is not safe at all especially during the time that we’re in they need to be reported and the hotel looks really sketchy like a hotel where bad people go to I hope that you were okay there
Removing the smoke detector....they should refund you based on the fact that they haven't fixed that. It's a hazard and they're not in compliance with the laws and regulations, codes, etc out here. Heck, we couldn't move into the house without the smoke detectors being compliant and tested.
The booking site should be made aware so they can remove them as an option. Be careful during your travels. Some hotels have staff or friends of the owners write bogus reviews.
Many of the hotels in that area have succumbed to the "happenings" in the last few years. Stay closer to the 91 or north of Knotts.
Tbh everyone in my neighborhood calls that the drug front hotel cause we watched a drug bust when we went to Walgreens

@@ryanfellows-fitts7247 I survived but I slept in my car. There were bugs in the bed and in the bathroom, I absolutely hate bugs so I was so freaked out I just slept in my car.

Made my skin crawl watching this vlog; I hope you wiped down your bags if you put anything down. Terrible, this is a 0 star rating. I hope you post a review through the booking site, to warn others. Though it’s non refundable and if you have the time, I would try to get your money back cause of the false rating and condition of the room, especially the broken door latch and handle. It becomes a safety issue. Thank goodness you had another place to stay.

I booked with Hotels.com and it was a non refundable room...... after seeing the room I knew why. I contacted them and they denied my request.
