Im a barista, someone threw ice coffees at me and my co-workers last month because he picked up someone elses order and said we made his coffee wrong. After explaining that, he started calling us wh0res and threw the coffee. People suck
As a fellow barista & server, I hope you gave them a decent stomping🤣
Working in the fast food/restaurant industry you will eventually meet an a-hole, it seems like that should be apart of job descriptions for working with food in general, because some people are just miserable and want to spread their misery by any means possible.
At least it wasn't scalding hot Mickey D's coffee, but yeah, still a massive douchebag thing to do to someone literally just doing their job, for having the nerve to point out he stole someone else's order and then complained that it wasn't what he'd ordered.
My sympathies.
I remember when I had a weekend job as a teenager in a cafe, this mother made a big fuss about not paying for her and her daughters' food and drinks. The mother claimed it was all horrible and refused to pay when a, everything was consumed and b, when I checked on them earlier on they said everything was all good urgh! Long story short I got my boss involved, he told the mother to pay up or he would call the police and she reluctently did so and stormed off swearing things as she went.
People suck, especially the vaxzinated ones!

This. My entire area (like 30 square miles at least) all reported hearing a sound like a car accident but only the collision at the same time on Saturday. It was a gender reveal explosion.
I miss when it was meaningful and heart-warming because a couple had been trying for a baby and *finally broke the streak of having multiple repeat miscarriages* so they had a genuine real reason to celebrate getting to the late stage of pregnancy, and not just self-entitled clout goblins
I think gender reveals on UA-cam, really give me the full story of their babies gender.. and as a stranger that has no attachment to them at all, their babies gender means alot to me

In America that's business as usual... people are used to seeing armed gaurds at businesses and banks, Airports, etc...
No guns are not rare in the uk and basically every place can have armed response turn up within 30 mins or sooner. They’re not rare within the police either it’s just that only certain officers can carry them and most don’t but most departments will have someone who is certified for carrying

No we aren't @@InVinoVeratas, we don't have guns and armed guards in 90% of businesses. Even In the south, where people act like guns rights are basic right, if people see you're carrying they are scared of you

I volunteer on a museum battleship in America that closes at 5, and I have met people who show up at 4:50 who don't realize that we start closing beforehand because it takes a while to close.
I went to a Verizon store that I KNEW closed at 7pm, it was 5:50pm. I guess they decided to close at 6pm. They still helped me and then at 6pm shut the door. It happens! So what!
Haven’t seen that part yet, but I’m not gonna lie if a store was supposed to be open at x time and closed early I would be so annoyed. But quietly, inside ma mind.
Slightly off topic, but banks closing at like 3 is something that annoys the hell out of me. And I use online banking for most things.

I work at a ups store and this lady tries to come in 1 minute before we close and ship off 5 packages and when we refused service to her she took our picture and threatened to get us on the news for not shipping off her packages, then she went to my manager trying to get me fired and said she was there 30 minutes before closing but we had cameras with time stamps so she didn't get away with it.
She lied knowing she's in the wrong and still continued.... WOW

@@lovffle It ain't boredom. It's trying to use scare tactics to get what you want. It's basically bullies who have only physically grown up and people mistake them for adults. Tons of people try to use them on me when I used to work at a tech shop, but since I'm a large guy I just tell them to p1ss off. Especially since my boss told me I can tell off arrogant or rude customers without fear because he fully supports kicking out trash. Honestly, nicest boss I've had. The dude was a real bro.

As someone who works at mcdonalds, we get people who blow up for no reason several times during a shift for no reason or a easy to fix reason. People just like to take their stress out on customer service workers i suppose
I joined a McDonald’s right out of secondary school. I lasted a week. I was screamed at multiple times by customers, one time for their child not getting the “right” happy meal toy despite it being a random selection. I cannot fathom a world where I spoke to others the way I was spoken to during that week and I’ve always been extra nice to retail and fast food workers for it - you all deal with some crazy stuff 🫂
The part that always gets me is if you're nice you almost always get issues sorted quickly, so why shout, scream, and throw a tantrum like a toddler?
She wanted more ketchup on her burger, how hard is it to just say "excuse me, can I get some more ketchup?"
Last time I went for fast food they forgot a burger and fries, I politely asked the guy at the counter about it and he sorted it and threw in an upgrade to the large for the mistake. There's absolutely no reason to act like this when being nice gets you much better outcomes.

as a retail worker (Customer services specifically). I get really annoyed when someone comes in like a minute before you close. We will tell them that they have a minute but its never enough an no-one goes home on time. We had one American dude come in wanting a propane gas refill **20 seconds** before we closed. We said no as thats not a quick job it takes like 10-15 minutes especially seeing as they were all locked away at that time. The man refused to leave saying that if he got there before we close we have to serve him, its our duty or whatver. Like dude. Come back tommorow or maybe next time come like 5 minutes earlier.
We all left an hour late that night ...... Not fun

for the karen with too much ketchup at 3:00 in - i work at costa and one a customer asked for extra vanilla (we usually put 4 pumps so i put in like 6/7). He made an official complaint about me for being rude and putting too much vanilla in. Luckily my manager found it as funny as I did haha

yes, the store closes at 9, that means we ideally stop working the cash registers since all customers have left. usually we close the entrance like 5 minutes before to let us go home on time.
To be fair, it wouldn't hurt to have a 'Last Entry at 20:55' sign up on businesses so the Kens and Karens are clear about it.
I once worked in a hardware store. Had this one customer who came in and started giving out to us demanding discount because "he spent over xxx amount on money there". Thing is we knew of him well as he would often come in buy a load of different things and then return all of what he never used. So we pulled up his history on the system and told him because of all of his returns he had only actually spent a few hundred quid per year. Most other regulars spent £1000s per week. We just used the shaming that only other builders waiting in line could do as our weapon. Dude literally got laughed out of the store. He was much nicer the next time he came in.
The irony with 'too much Ketchup Karen' is that she's complaining that the punishment didn't fit the crime, that she got fired for shouting at someone about her burger, but getting her order a little bit wrong didn't warnet her shouting at the McDonald's employees in the first place.
The closing thing? Ohhh, man, people get sooooo pissy about it. We closed the dining room at 10 and people would show up at 10:01 expecting service.

@2:44 I once had a woman ask for a fresh type of sandwich we made at the deli and I told her that the sandwiches that are out on display are fresh and were just made a couple minutes ago, we literally JUST put them out before she walked up, and she got unreasonably upset and threw one of the sandwiches at me. Thing is, they were in those shell containers so it popped open and I got mustard all down the front of my work shirt at the beginning of the shift. That was fun.

Turns out he's in the navy and has a wife and kids and he was initially worried she could cause trouble for him spreading that around. Joey contacted him, offered legal support and got that girl's membership of the gym revoked as they were pissed off at her too. It's not good for their reputations for these girls to keep making unfounded accusations.

I have run a shop/store and you don't want to be stuck with a shop full of customers after it's meant to be closed. The shop closes at whatever time means basically all customers should be making their way out not in.
‘FUCK you, give me my chicken’ is now going to be my go to ‘what the FUCK?’ response to my teenage sons when they wind me up.
McDonald's in the U.S. depending on the Individual Store they would either have a spot with little cups and a pump handle to fill the cup with Ketchup.
Other stores will simply have packets.
The only acceptable main characters are either animals, babies, or people who are legitimately skilled. A pretty good example of this is my cat Cocoa. Little dude is awesome, and he knows it!

I've gotten off work at 10 and headed to am el pollo loco that closes at 11, I got there at 10:27 and they claimed they were closed, although they were shutting down a tad to early I just drove 5 minutes to the nearest jack in the box rather than whip my phone out and cause a fuss😂😂
When a Karen comes to your workplace and makes a mess like throwing a burger on the floor, for example, don't make a video to put it online, don't try to find out where she works at to get her fired, don't do any of that.
Go around the counter, grab her by the ear, ignore her _"You're touching me! Stop touching me! You're hurting me!"_ and whatever she might say, give her some water with soap and a mop and tell her that she's not going anywhere until she cleans up her mess. When she leaves after having cleaned her mess, enjoy the other customers' applause.
