God has been leading me to head cover for 2 years now and i have been binge watching and browsing the wrapunzel website for a while now. I am ready to cover and seeing this style blew me away and i cant stop gravitating to this type of covering. It makes me so happy with all the colors and variations and creativity. I have been searching for a way and this will be my way. I love God I love and honor my husband. I am ready for modesty. I am waiting for my tichels and my volumizer at this very moment and i know people are going to inquire because of how "unusual" it might seem to others but i dont care because this is what i want for myself and my gosh your tichels are stunning so I will resist no more!
Your statments really spoke to me. I am a Cathoilc who covers and the ones who seems to have the most problems with it are fellow Cathoilcs or other Christians. They seems to forget or are unaware that all of us who are children of Abraham are called to do so. It is in the Torah, the Quran and the Bible. I love your style and look forward to watching you. Love your answer. I am a christian woman. Abba has been leading me to cover my head for about a year. I studied the word about this and couldn't find an answer. I was on you tube listening to a preacher about our Hebrew roots. I noticed to the side some videos about head covering. I watched and listened. I got my answer. I have been covering my head now for almost a month. I have had so many complements about how beautiful it looks. Like I said, I am christian, and have crossed over like Abraham, (Hebrew). I also keep the Sabbath and the freast of YHWH, and to my best to follow the Torah. Thank you so much. I know you are in Istael right now and I pray for your safty and peace.
@T Regis Hi, interesting comment 😊 I read the Corinthians verse that you suggested and I can see some argument for women to cover their heads, but only while praying. However it ultimately says that a woman's long hair is her covering, therefore we don't need to cover our heads again with, for example, a scarf. I just wondered if this was also your reading of this or if you understand it to mean something different. I'm genuinely interested in what you think.
2020 and im here watching this video for the first time as a young Jewish woman exploring the possibility of wearing a tichel.... i appreciate you having made these years ago and that they still are so informative.
thank you so much for this video! I'm a Christian and I fell in love with your tichels! I'm going to cover in college, and this video really helped me work through what people might think/say and how to react!
If you are a Christian like I am, the bible also says we are supposed to be different and set apart. And that we are a "peculiar people." So as a Christian as well, you should stand out and be different :)
As I was looking listening to Andrea talk about being set apart I thought about the scriptures where it says that the Jews are set apart, a holy people but the Jewish New Testament says the same thing about the believers in the Jewish Messiah, Yeshua Messiah. The Way (Christianity) is not a different religion it is a fulfillment of Judisium. I love Torah (Gods instructions).
Lol you would think this wouldn’t need to be explained to you but, here goes. The Bible that you say tells Christians the same thing, is because you are reading the same thing. lol. At that point in time it was still one religion, yet to be divided. The Old Testament is shared. Do I need to explain further? Do you not know the history of your own religion and its text you are quoting?
I know its a personal choice but I feel covering with a scarf is more in keeping with the spirit of the mitzvah than a wig. Especially the expensive wigs that look like not a wig.
Thank you so much for all your videos. I've watched many and recently subbed your channel. In January I began wearing head covering occasionally and quite enjoyed them. In February I did a Bible study over 1 Corinthians11 and feel I learned something I never knew even though I was raised and am still a Christian. I prayed for guidance as to whether I should or shouldn't cover. The more I prayed the more I felt led to cover. So six days I began covering everyday. I love it. I think their is a confidence and peace knowing that I am walking more in according to Gods will for my life. Since January I have gotten many types of comments such as compliments, questions whether I'm changing faiths, questions asking if I have cancer and I've gotten a few odd looks. My standard answer is "It's just something I enjoy doing" that satisfies most. However if given the chance I will elaborate as to my reasoning. Thank you again. Have a blessed day.
I love your head coverings. Very beautiful. I am preparing for loosing my hair (chemo) and if I can figure out how to do the wrapping you do, it is what I want to do to cover my head and still pretty. I love the artistic/creative design of it. Hope I can get as good at it as you are. Wish me luck 🙏

The rumour about you having beautiful hair and that woman's reaction to it, is one of the reasons that in Islam we have rules about discussing the details of a woman's beauty. In Islam we are required to cover everything except our hands and face, when in prayer and when around men who are not our husband, father, brother etc(men who we cannot legally marry in our tradition), some say that we should cover in front of other women to avoid jealousy, and situations like yours, that makes sense now.
Thank you for your videos they have been so helpful. I started wearing a tichel at Pesach this year. When it was over and I stopped it felt wrong, almost like I had lost part of me. I discussed this with my husband, who though he is a Christian, is very supportive of my beliefs. We decided I should continue wearing a tichel. I love saving my hair for my husband (he even colors it for me) and for G-d. I feel G-d's presence with me when I am wearing it. I converted in 1994 at a Reform Synagogue not knowing there were any other kind. My beliefs are more Modern Orthodox though I can't keep a Kosher kitchen because of my husband. Thank you again for helping me learn more about my religion.
Sometimes I have very funny situations. Here,in Germany most women Who cover her hair with scarfs are Muslim. I went in a shop to buy Kids clothes- and 2 Muslim women looked at me (thought I was Muslim too) and said " Salam aleikum" and I not there really with my head- gave back: "alleichmsholem" We looked at each other and begann to laugh. So I think tichels can bring women together.
Being a male non jew I really enjoyed your explination video's about things I have had questions about on the "Why do you do things that way" etc. I really happy for you, you can see you are beautiful inside and out. Enjoy
I don't remember ever seeing this before, You are so right about Jews being more taking offence then the world. Last week I had my first really great comment form a woman in the mall. She was starring at me while she walked by my friend and I siting Then she turned and came up to me and said how beautiful I looked asking me questions about it. I had on the first 2 I got here in town but you have shown me how to wrap so they looked awesome. Thanks Summer-Zipporah
You are soo right how basically sometimes people are a little more critical about your actions. I feel that people look at me that way with my hair covered. But it's no bother, I love love love covering my hair. I am a germanic heathen and I actually found that even in pre-christian times women covered their hair for spiritual and practical reasons after they got married. Along with my spiritual reasons I also cover my hair because I am married. I like to show that my looks are only for my husband. I'm actually going to be working with kids at a daycare so we'll see how it goes with me covering there. So far elsewhere reactions toward me have been positive. Much love to you Wrapunzel ladies!
I work with 2 Muslim women who smile knowingly, 2 ppl have asked me if I have cancer. It's not that dramatic, I'm just a married woman who's Jewish! An Orthodox man I know was SHOCKED that a Reform Jew wears tichel! He thought it was awesome. My friends for the most part think what ever brings me closer to my faith is cool.
I love covering. i get lots of nasty comments and looks from women in and outside the church, My husband and many men give me respect, open doors for me and i receive lots of positive comments and compliments.
Celeste Mentag yes and every woman I have ever takes to, always brings up how they are now more blessed than when they didn't, it was shocking to them.
I am a muslim and I enjoy your videos, I do not cover my hair full time but I would like to do so, your videos inspire me to do different wraps and I do get compliments. Keep up your good work and maybe you can come up with something to cover the neck and chest area
I live in a nursing home and I wear my scarfs daily I get questions how did I do that. I have the same experiences as you have. I even received scarfs from people here. Pink from the Therapy, Teal from activities. And a red one from another patient.
I don't cover fully because I'm Christian. I am also new to covering. I have been wearing wide headbands. Today is the first time I am going out wearing a scarf and I'm nervous. I'm so glad you made this video as I was wondering how people react. I guess I will find out how the UK people in my area will react today. My boyfriend has been very supportive and also my sister. I feel beautiful and that's what matters.
Hmmm... you make a good point there! Random people in America do assume that I do it for religious reasons, though they aren't sure which religion that is. In Israel, people know exactly why. In some artsy neighbourhoods I sometimes get the assumptions that I do it for fashion. But that is rare (did I say "everybody" in the video? Oops). Anyway, anyone that knows about Judaism knows that married women cover their hair, however, the unfortunate fact is that many don't know this.
Hello andrea , I been covering my head for many years but I was taught to cover only at church and removed it after,It was a christian church . But five years ago I stated attending a kehilat with jews and not jews, I noticed that some ladies wear wigs and some cover their hair , but since I'm not a jew I thought I did not have to cover, but something inside me moves me to cover my hair , I am hispanic and its something really odd for my family and friends to see me cover, sometimes they say im going way to holy , I try to explain to them that it is for a respect to my husband and the love I have for him.
Thank you for sharing this. I'm absolutely fascinated by head covering in different religions. I love watching tutorial videos. I really enjoy covering my hair, but when I go outside I take it off, because I don't want to misrepresent another faith. What are your thoughts on people of other religions wearing the same style of headcover? Thank you!
andrea, i have had similar experiences with my tichel wearing! this video helped strengthen my pride in how i cover my hair, amongst wig wearing jews. thank you
Last night, I had a friend tell me that he thinks my headscarves are keeping me from getting a new job. He told me I should consider not covering my hair for the job interviews. I am not comfortable with that.
I am a Christian, but neither my family nor I believe that we have to cover our hair. I'm not saying it's wrong or anything, we just don't do it. Though I do like to wear a hat to cover up my hair when I want to look nicer but don't want to/don't have time to do my hair. But I have recently been given several scarves from my older sister-in-law (she cleaned out her closet, lol) and though I don't wear jewelry or "accessorize", I'm interested in using them as head scarves. :) So thank you for giving me several ideas on how to style them!
Hi! I am also Christian, and I wear tichels, headscarves, and bandanas as a sign of modesty, being set apart, being covered by Christ's blood and the Holy Spirit, humility, and covering the "glory of man" (my hair). They're also pretty in a modest way and I don't worry about "bad hair days" (might get a bad tichel day! D: ;) ) lol
Kimchee Fan there are two women that cover at our church, I know 1 covers full time and it's just been really encouraging. I've always been drawn to it, my hair is fine and I have no interest in hairstyles but covering is beautiful and is in its own way an art.
"You're hair is so beautifull, you are a knock out and a head turner and you will make all the boys stare in lust" and due to those reasons I began covering my hair before marriage ( yes I am engaged though I am to be wed soon). And I would always follow Tznuit very well and wouldn't dress un modestly but now I assume full Orthodox Jewish custom and wear Tichelles and such. All The time. Thank you so much for these Videos much thanks,
I'm curious how you feel about non Jewish women wearing tichel? I am Pagan, so I don't feel a need to cover my hair for religious reasons, however I dye it purple and so sometimes I cover my hair to prevent fading, and sometimes to prevent people being jerks. :P I think the tichel is a beautiful way to cover one's hair, but I am concerned I would be appropriating someone else's religious gesture and I do not wish to offend anyone. I would love anyone's opinion on this! If it would offend, I will refrain from wearing tichel in public, although I'll almost certainly wear it for gardening! (My sunhat falls off...)
hi I know that your comment is old but I just wanted to say go for it!! It's not appropriating anything, I love seeing other women wearing them whether or not they're Jewish!
to "the monsterloligon"... I know your post is fairly old but it caught my eye so I had to reply (ha...I'm a rapper/wrapper with my rhymes). I am also Pagan and have recently started to wrap my hair for non religious reasons. I just like the way it looks and the Wrappunzel styles are stunning. My hair is baby fine and in California's constant wind, it gets tangled so easily if I don't tie it back so its tied back ALL THE TIME. I believe that I almost look bald when my hair is in a bun but a wrap makes me feel beautiful. I have also buzzed my hair to a 1/2 inch which was liberating and now that I wrap, I think buzzed hair would make it easier. My fiance doesn't like me wrapping my head and often says I look like the Muslims in our neighborhood but its a different style of wrap. He usually makes me take it off when we go out for walks but I've slowly started wearing it anyway. I say...do what makes you feel comfortable and beautiful. Who cares what other people think. It really isn't any of their business and its just a scarf.
I have only been covering a couple of months, I'm not Jewish, or Muslim, just exploring a new spiritual path, and I keep getting "Aunt Jemima, Sim Sim sala bim, gypsy fortune teller, are you covering a bad hair cut? genie, are you muslim?"....Ive only had a few people who complemented it and a couple who have asked me how I do my wraps . many small minded ignorant people in my small town.
I have found that some assume I have cancer. Weird. That is not the first thing that comes to my mind when I see a woman with her head covered. Isn't that funny?
I have found the same thing. i just started covering, its not a full head covering, i leave some hair out, but people assume that i have cancer. its the first thing they ask. its weird like you said.
I believe is very rude to ask someone that question. But when people ask me that, I take it as an opportunity to be kind and tell a few words about the purpose of doing it. Shalom to all of you beautiful ladies!!!
That's funny, sometimes it's the same thing in the Christian world...worst reaction from other Christians, for the same reasons. "holier than thou", "more religious", etc.
I’ve been wearing a Tichel for a while now: as an unmarried reform Jewish person. And yes again I agree I think most gentiles assume I do it for fashion- I don’t I do it because it makes me feel closer to HaShem and to my Judaism in this very secular world. In terms of comments so far: positive usually compliments. Although sadly I do get stared at and laughed at by some (I go to a college part of a secondary school) and I’m not sure wether their behaviour is supposed to be antisemitism or ableism, but either way it’s ugly behaviour and I do my best to ignore them & smile.
I'm a babtist Christian and I've never seen any women of my faith covering my hair. I know the women and my mother would think I was crazy. Im not the best christian I have a tattoo and a piercing. But I have my tattoo because its a family tradition to get a tattoo. I have been looking into my bible a little more and ran across the verse about covering your head. Im just afraid of the judgment and what my mom will say.
Thank you for this video. I'm a "Christain" but I have been looking into the Hebrew roots of my faith. I have been covering my head for over a year now and I understand what you mean about being a "pacular people" I don't know anyone else who covers their head but I do it because my own conviction. I'm curious tho, I do it based on 1Corinthians 11 and the odvious refrences to women covering their heads throghout the Torah and history. But where do you get your refrence/command as a Jew?
Aww, sorry about my crappy spelling... I meant to ask if all practicing jewish women (and men) agree that it´s mandatory to cover their hair when married?
Hello! Quick question. I have recently begun wearing tichel however I was wondering if this is actually a biblical commandment. The information I have obtained only speaks of it being in the Talmud but not in the Torah. I respect all who want to cover their hair, however, I only want to cover mine if it is something God wants me to do instead of something rabbi's want people to do. Thanks!
It's interesting you said " You're Jewish you are different" when YES! that is so much true We Jews are the chosen people. I cover my hair currently I didn't before but I did dress modestly always. I am being raised by Orthodox Jewish parents and we follow Kabbalah to the tee.I am loosing my hair because of Chemotherapy now but before that I began covering my hair because I would get comment after comment sayding: __
That comes with following Christ...you will be persecuted intensely..actually its a good sign...spiritual people do not fit in..they are misfits. Don't dwell on your past..nothing you can do about your tattoos..the important thing is finding truth and seeking it full force..do what you feel compelled to do..God bless you and keep you.
Andrea, nice video...do single jewish women ever cover? I'm not Jewish...just curious..and I am considering covering..looking for tutorials..I see you made a few. Peace and blessings to you.
Yeah, I´m not jewish, but I did know that Orthodox jewish married women cover their hair. But do all jewish women really do that when they get married? Well, not the secularised I guess, but it there more precticing women who feel they don´t need to. As I know some practicing muslim women do not cover their hair and they say it´s enough to wear the veil in their hearts or that it´s unneccesary/ enough to cover up their breasts properly to look modest.
That woman getting pissed at you for covering up your beautiful hair should actually rethink that. She does not have to feel bad when you are covering it and not bragging and showing it off in her face. Are you only showing your hair to your husband or close friends aswell?
I imagine the negative comments from fellow Jews is that your behavior hits closer to home - we have to question whether we should do the same. I'm sorry you have had negative comments, though - for you and them.
You say that everybody in the streets just assume that you´re wearing a headscarf as a fashion thing. And that people who ask even get suprised when you say it´s because of religion. Then you say that by wearing this style one becomes visably jew? I know many groups, religious aswell as others, whose women are wearing this style. And although I´m not jewish I did know that many jewish women started covering their hair with wigs. I understand why, but I think they are fooling themselves.
Tichels I have no problem with as they are very beautiful and tasteful... Traditions are fine and I would never tell anyone to drop a tradition... Who am I to do such a thing?.... But HaShem gave the women their beautiful hair as a glorious covering that no tichel can match.... I have yet to read in the Torah that says a woman should wear a tichel.... I believe that is a tradition of men not HaShem....I know Torah says women should dress in modesty so I guess it's OK if women wear them for modesty, or to stand out as you say..... To me as a man who believes HaShem, covering your hair that HaShem gave you for beauty is like saying He made the rainbow in the sky but forgot to hide it behind the clouds..... Some people in other religions cover a woman's face with a veil, so at least Jewish women do not cover their face.... That would be tragic because there is no other beauty to match the beauty of a Jewish woman's face.... I have never seen a Jewish woman who is not totally beautiful... I hope veils never become a tradition among Jewish women... Now many of us men on the other hand ought to wear veils to cover our faces.... Like one girl once told me, I should wear my beard very long.... long enough to comb back up over my face, as that would be an improvement....
I think it was already something the people did so it wasn’t written as a conman. Much like the nose rings symbolized marriage. But then, that’s painful so many now wouldn’t do such a thing, but some do.
Tichels are for anyone. It's a personal choice. The Savior said a woman's hair is her tzitzi. A tzitzi is the tassel-like things on the head coverings. The tradition of wearing one stems Genesis, the angels were tempted by women's hair and caused the angels to fall in love with and marry the women. Sarah, Rachel, Rivkah, and Leah wanted to avoid using their beauty, so they covered much of their body and hair.
Ari Malek my husband wasn't surprised when I asked his opinion, in fact he was quite pleased as his personal request when we got married was that I never cut my hair.

Being a male non jew I really enjoyed your explination video's about things I have had questions about on the "Why do you do things that way" etc. I really happy for you, you can see you are beautiful inside and out. Enjoy
by the way, i have seen many of your tutorials and they are amazing, your scarfs are just beautiful and the end result is just gorgeous...
I m older woman and love covering my hair .. still learning how to accomplish it .. I love the Scarf ❤️💕🇮🇱🇺🇸😇🤟
You make a very good point. Thank you for sharing!
Hi! This is so encouraging. I'm going through a similar situation. How is it going for you?
Hmmm... you make a good point there!
There's no such thing as being "too holy" ;)
Thank you for sharing this. I'm absolutely fascinated by head covering in different religions. I love watching tutorial videos. I really enjoy covering my hair, but when I go outside I take it off, because I don't want to misrepresent another faith. What are your thoughts on people of other religions wearing the same style of headcover? Thank you!
andrea, i have had similar experiences with my tichel wearing! this video helped strengthen my pride in how i cover my hair, amongst wig wearing jews. thank you
I only show my hair to my husband.
Last night, I had a friend tell me that he thinks my headscarves are keeping me from getting a new job. He told me I should consider not covering my hair for the job interviews. I am not comfortable with that.
head covering is a symbol modesty
Isa Belle, I have been covering my hair for appx 15 years. No prob at all:)
@@rabbitfud you should consider breaking it off with him. He sounds too controlling.
I know it's years later, but I'm pagan and I veil because I feel called to. If you want to veil you should!
Hi there - not quite sure what you're asking! Can you let me know where in the video (timing) you're referring to?
I live watching your tutoriaals!!! Can you cover your hair if you are unmarried?
I was born and raised in Las Vegas and my baba wore a tichel and no one ever commented on it.
Since I have covered, I have been even more excluded from my catholic counterparts.
Does really covering your hair regularly damage your hair (bolding) in the long term ?
Thank you for this video. I'm a "Christain" but I have been looking into the Hebrew roots of my faith. I have been covering my head for over a year now and I understand what you mean about being a "pacular people" I don't know anyone else who covers their head but I do it because my own conviction. I'm curious tho, I do it based on
1Corinthians 11 and the odvious refrences to women covering their heads throghout the Torah and history. But where do you get your refrence/command as a Jew?
I don’t know if you ever found your answers or if you still cover. But if anyone you know would like to know, I have two videos on it.
Aww, sorry about my crappy spelling... I meant to ask if all practicing jewish women (and men) agree that it´s mandatory to cover their hair when married?
thank you so much for this video
Thanks!
Andrea you are a beautiful woman and your always smiling on your videos and I'm just like you i also dress with modesty
Another Catholic that wears tichel! :-) Nice to see I'm not the only one haha
It is my choice, right? Be Different! I agree
Not to worry about what people say in this do your own thing and own it world.
Right we are separated from the world system.

Oh sorry sister,
i was directing the question to "StandOnTruth" .
Do you think it is wrong to wear your head wrap if I'm not of your religion.
I did have one bad time. A Dr asked knee if I was trying to look like a terrorist.
That dr would be considered an educated idiot for making such an assumption.
Andrea, nice video...do single jewish women ever cover? I'm not Jewish...just curious..and I am considering covering..looking for tutorials..I see you made a few. Peace and blessings to you.
I'd love to see an update since the attacks and Muslim hating have spiked.
Love you
Where there are two Jews there are three opinions
I imagine the negative comments from fellow Jews is that your behavior hits closer to home - we have to question whether we should do the same. I'm sorry you have had negative comments, though - for you and them.
You look lovely.

Oh i see,
Just that Torah observant Yehudhim or Beni Noahh don't call Torah "the Word".
So i never heard that expression before.
Wrong. That is talking about humans. Adam is first. This sons of God is men. Then Eve came from man this they are daughters of men.
@@reflectionsinthebible3579 so you don't believe what the Savior said? Shallom you are loved
Your so beautiful I Love it ..

whats "the Word" ?
i have more respect for a woman that covers her head...wish my wife practice covering her head in public
Ari Malek my husband wasn't surprised when I asked his opinion, in fact he was quite pleased as his personal request when we got married was that I never cut my hair.
