MVDP against 11 Belgium riders!!!!! Then 4 Belgium riders were left, and then 1. His last MVDP demarrage as we know from him, and it was a done deal. When he was only left with Vermeesch, everyone would know who would win.
No doubt MVDP with all his CX and mtbing experience would do very well in a gravel race if he raced in one, but I"m not seeing any gravel in these highlights. The road race today, Paris Tours was much more challenging than this.
Ha! that course was a weak representation of gravel racing IMO.. come to the States and ride the Unbound or a number of the bigger western events. Remember the former world champion was only running in 16th place at Unbound and flatted then quit. I'd love to see MVDP take part in Unbound as well as several other gravel series, but I bet it won't happen.
@@williammorris4419 MVDP is the true gravel champion. If unbound is so harsh like you re stating where are the unbound gravel riders :))))))) they could have done this easily right ? hahahaha !
Euro Gravel = Running path that is more narrow than a street, and a few seconds of almost single track on almost gravel. That aint gravel, thats Road Racing park paths on a road bike , what a joke uci & todays race was.
@@Lion-wd1px no problem with his strength, he is an amazing rider, I said nothing against him. its just a lame "gravel" course. The uci definition is pathetic. As for World tour riders like Sagan Mojoric Van Avermat that have tried Unbound Gravel in the us, it didn't at all go as planned. I think he could win Unbound, but he hasn't yet...until then he really isn't a gravel racer. In my personal opinion. That so called UCI world Champs is not true gravel racing, PERIOD ! No support cars , no radios...fix your own flat for real gravel ,can u dig that bro ?
@@plutopedro1I am Dutch (Netherlands) I am a MvP fan, I think you have some points there. If it should be more gravel MvP might have to much power. However, skilled as he is, he is capable of adjust his power part by part. Personally, I was a bit confused about the ‘gravel’ parts.

But a lot of these Belgium riders are Alpecien riders...
Wish him XCO WC.
Mathieu has dropped his opponents 😱

has bigger goals next year, but I could see him doing one as a prep race for f.e. RVV or sth
Gravel race without gravel
Gravel world championships... finishes on asphalt.. 😂
Unbound (muddy dump), finishes on asphalt.
Is this really gravel race? I think a lot of road races are more gravel than this one.
exactly.. they need an event like Unbound for a world championship testing and crowning of a true Gravel champion.

100% agree.. pathetic to call this a world championship gravel event.
he would win also with more gravel and where were these super gravel riders from the US if it was easier
