At times, you may not understand the test that Allah makes you go through! - Saul and Goliath / Kerem Önder
"And when Saul went forth with the soldiers, he said, "Indeed, Allah will be testing you with a river. So whoever drinks from it is not of me, and whoever does not taste it is indeed of me, excepting one who takes [from it] in the hollow of his hand." But they drank from it, except a [very] few of them. Then when he had crossed it along with those who believed with him, they said, "There is no power for us today against Goliath and his soldiers." But those who were certain that they would meet Allah said, "How many a small company has overcome a large company by permission of Allah. And Allah is with the patient." (Al- Baqarah, 249)
Allah tested the army of Saul (Talut) with a river. Allah warned them not to drink more than one handful. However, most of the army dunk more than one handful so as to stay strong, and then they left the war zone by saying they can not win the army of Goliath. There were solely 300 people left.
The Messenger of Allah also was left by 300 people in the battle of Uhud. Even the Prophet was left, so you can be left, too. When the ungrateful people abandon you, remember the ayah: "Indeed mankind, to his Lord, is ungrateful." People are even ungrateful towards their Lord. Wouldn't they be ungrateful towards you?
