i use to be competative and play for rank and skill, but recently i lost motivation to get better so i just hop on for like 2 hours with my friend and we play games for fun

Saying this before watching, if he is a freestyler I disapprove. I don’t like the practice of maintaining low mmr so you can hit clips on bad players. Ruins the game for new players.
Agreed. Clips don't count if you don't earn them. I've looked up some of the opponents from some of the more popular freestyle videos and found players in silver and lower. Definitely not a good look.
I can understand why, games around the plat/diamond used to be just about fun etc and i could find games fast. Once my casual MMR hit GC it's nothing but sweaty games and I'm starting to enjoy playing a lot less and it takes awhile to find games. In ranked i hit champ but stopped playing due to the sweaty nature of it.
@@Splinter69691 thats only if u can actually do outplays with ur mechanics. Low ranked mechanical players dont do anything threatning with the ball... for example they will go for a ceiling musty in the middle of the map which is either going to miss or going to be an easy save and counter goal
I can tell you how negative MMR happens while even trying. I installed RL on my little ones Swich Lite... it's so unplayable you have almost no influence on the outcome of the match. But she's having fun either way, she even refuses to play it on my old laptop since she likes the Switch more. :D
i once had a friend who 2 years ago was literally -20 mmr, this was around the time i was plat and next season he hit it with me. he was an amazing friend and we played a lot of other games too, but then... he left. he went offline, and after a while i not talking to him i made the horrible mistake of unfriending him on steam and discord, thinking "whats the point of having him added if he's never on" and now we share no servers, and he has been offline for over a year and a half. i really miss him and this video reminded me of him with the negative mmr, if anyone can or wants to help me find him you can reply and ill give you my discord or something but i just miss him so much, he was probably one of the best friends ive ever had.

Watching you play these guys reminds me of yesterday when I got destroyed by an ssl in some random tournament. It was fun but, I stood no chance. Ceiling shot ground pinch, dribbles, flip resets, Musty's, triple wave dashes, all the bullshit a plat can't handle.

This is one of the most frustrating things I've come across in any online game I've played. I started playing RL a few weeks ago and it's so annoying. They'll crush then forfeit in 2s or I'll get a teamate that own goals 10 shots if I don't agree for forfeit. I don't play 1s much but from what I have, they let you score on then then leave. It's frustrating because in ranked, it's put me in gold 2 but I'm definitely not anywhere near that level of consistency for shots. This game has the most smurfs I've seen in any games multi-player
Feels like there is too much supporting on throwing matches, from my perspective that's just plenty of smurfs doing whatever they like, humiliate lower players or freestyle with an even score but 90-10% possesion of the ball...
