Patient Success Story | Infected Thrombus in Lung Artery | Dr. Debasree Gangopadhyay

Master Mustafijur Rahman, a four and a half-year-old Bangladeshi boy was suffering from on and off fever for the past one year. On not getting recovery, the boy was brought to RN Tagore Hospital, Kolkata for advanced treatment. After diagnosis, it was evaluated that there is an infection in the heart and the infection markers of the blood were also high. Dr. Sukanta Kumar Behera operated on the patient and discovered that the main reason for the fever was an Infected Thrombus in Lungs Artery. Post-operative the boy totally recovered within seven days and there were no symptoms of fever after that and now the patient has been discharged with the restoration of his normal life.
