thank you. have a 2000 nissan frontier that just today has the same problem. one to many opens and closes i guess. so gonna get into all of this next week, hopefully just a quick fix as well. thanks again for this video. i really appreciate your efforts.
A fond memory. I had a 97 Ranger the same green. Had the same issue, once. I'd still have it, But I lost it when it got t-boned by a kid driving a 20 year old Buick I now have a 2019 Ranger
I took that yellow broken piece off and put a new nut on the outside of the threaded cable and adhered it with a few zip ties. If it breaks again, atleast I know what I'm looking for now that I'm familiar with what's inside. But the zip tie did the trick in a snap!
Mahalo Napa here on Big Island, Waimea doesn’t even have anything close in there extensive booklet. Anyway Zip ties worked great I doubled it up but really didn’t need both, just pull it really tight with pliers 🤙🏾 And it doesn’t rotate actually. My 94 Mazda B4000 Dry Loob 👍 Mahalo
Yep mine is a gord f150 with a cover that cannot be removed without releasing it first. So i cannot even get to it to open the the back. 😢😢. I dont know what to do
not sure if you will see this but i got a 1975 f 100 and the truck bed won’t open. thing is there’s no panel on the back like there is here. if u know anyway to maybe get it open i’d appreciate it.
Great vid. exact same thing on my 2006. i pulled the bedliner off and the clip wasnt even broken!. adjusted, reclipped. like new. thank you.
Same here on my 2009 Ford truck

great video. thanks!
Doesn’t the plastic clip need to pivot within the round hole it clips into?
Thanks, this cured my problem.
Thanks for the tips
Thank you Sir I could not find a clip, so I used a ziptie until I can get a clip.
You are the best!
I have a 97 ford ranger and its stuck...thanks, will be trying this on the door.
Thank you my 1998 GMC tailgating won’t open. Going to try what you did.

FYI Those bolts holding the plastic liner ALSO holds the metal panel.
Thanks🇺🇸

I suggest cutting your own access hole.
And.......why didn't you go ahead and zip-tie the other one... while you had it open??? :)
Replace it with metal so it want break again - Figure that one out and make another great video - Hint: S hook with washer and nut.
Quick fix??? It's 11:00 minutes long...!!! 😆
Better than getting charged an hour for someone to fix lol
Should have zipped both sides. good video though
Boring.
