How about the best engaging word I've ever seen. It's the "Hi" from you, Vanessa. I littrally open the video just to hear it from you, Ammmazing! Anyway, I'm having trouble pronouncing "freight forwarder" fast, tricky.
February, subtle

Jewelry

February...that one was hard for me! And I didn't even know that I was pronouncing it incorrectly.
That's because you weren't pronouncing it incorrectly. You don't have to drop the R. It's more common to say it without the R, but to say that pronouncing it with the R is wrong is nonsense. It is the older, but still viable, pronunciation.
yes some thing for me
Same for me
U can pronounce it with the r. Dropping the r is actually incorrect and is colloquial. Im a native american also haha and it bothers me when people drop the r
Same thing for me, but to be honest this is the first time I hear February should be pronounced without r
I've been studying English for more than 10 years and I didn't even recognize that the R sound in February is silent! Thanks for this amazing video and for your smile ♥
It's NOT!
Study some more. You didn't "realize", not "recognize".
I really appreciate your video teaching people who want to be like native speaker. Thank you from KOREA
The best teacher and persuasive one I've ever seen!😊 She has this very positive vibes that's why it's enjoyable to watch while learning 😊

The word Subtle was most difficult for me.

Ya its difficult and its even the month of my birthday....
You teach very clear and deep til we understand. Let’s practice
English is my first language - and I lived in various parts of the UK for 35 years - February was always spoken with an 'r' . It was not silent !
it's american english.
@@qvt5935 Isn't it rather arrogant to assume that American English is the only "correct" version? Wouldn't you expect English English to be standard?
@@lanamack1558
No it’s not arrogant. It’s simply the way the language is spoken in US. She never claimed it’s global standard.
Am seriously improving
Because of youuuu🌎🙏🙏🙏🙏
Congrats on improving!!! 😊❤️
thankyou

I love this lesson, it 's a good idea ! You explain clearly , slowly and give an example ! I love it
What i notice at her is that she has completely the art to teach
The word that I've pronounced differently is "receipt". I used to say "ri-seet" rather than "ra-seet"
I don't think it matters, I am native English and I say 'ri-seet' a lot!
So do I.
Same exactly i pronounced it ri-seet too
YESS, I did this too.
Risiit sounds right
Wonderful lady! I'm immensely strucken by the manner of your teaching. You've got heart touching smile.
ከመይ ኮን ትህሉ I concur
You're incredible every lessons of yours are literally fruitful
Vanessa, you don't know how much you are helping me. Stay blessed!
I didn't know the "height and Jewelry" pronnunciations!
You're such an amazing teacher!
Thank you!!! ❤️
I could never remember how to pronounce Jewelry, but now I do. Thank you Vanessa for your videos. You are awesome ❤️
The word jewelry was the hardest one to pronounce for me, and now I know how to pronounce it correctly. Thank you so much Vanessa, I love you ❤.
You appear to be a kind and good person Vanessa....your students must love you so much!!
Didn’t know I mispronounced the word receipt until today, now it’s been fixed. It’s Absolutely true what they say, live and learn!
yeah me too i thought it was RESEET BUTIT TURN INTO RA-SEET
I love this kind of videos!
I'm improving my pronunciation with your amazing channel ♥️
Literally.
You have such a great positive vibes
I'm so thankful you and your kind of lessons. Watch your lesson-videos periodly.
Really, i'm improving my level of english. It's very well!
Great lesson with lots of new words for me. Totally new the word subtle and its " not clear" meaning, I found the receipt pronunciation a bit hard to keep in mind. Thank you Vanessa for your incredible energy
I also found a word that is quite strange in pronunciation, it's "bury" which is pronounced /be-ri/
You're right, it doesn't look like how it sounds!
and * Busy * pronounced /bi-zi-
Both are fine. You'll find that it changes with the location of the speaker. 'Bur-ri' and 'be-ri' are the two ways that you can say this. 'Be-ri' is the most common way, especially when adding an -ed to the end. Most English-speakers should understand you regardless.
Oh my gosh! You have opened my eyes in so many words that I have mispronounced all my life. Thanks for your so helpful videos. I'm looking forward to watching more of all of them.
Fun fact : everyone likes the of-en than oft-en 🤣🤣🤣🤣❤❤❤❤❤
Thanks teacher, that's helpful. I living in Virginia. I need more practice on my pronunciation
It was a great lesson, thank you so much.
Saludos desde El Salvador.

Hello Vanessa! Nice to meet you! I also started teaching (Spanish) when I was 22 and I'm 32. You've helped me a lot with your videos because my English is standard and I have to learn the American accent due to the fact I'm working in an American English context... God bless you.

You highlighted the 'd' in blue, but you probably should also have highlighted the second 'e' as silent too.
So that it is pronounced We(d)n(e)sday

For so many years i struggled with the mispronunciation of the month of February but thank''s to your explaining that the R is silent now I got it !!!thank''s so much !!!
Vanessa, you are great. I enjoy learning with you.
Thank you for your lesson! I did pronounce February as "Febrary" so far... I think most of Japanese do that.
Also I learned "COUNTER as "COU-"ter"
it is pronounced "cauner"
@@AthyskTFM thanks 👍
Love the way you teach it's just amazing hatsoff!
Thank you so much! I didn't expect that I learn so many like this!!
Another one from your examples: "counter", it's pronounced without "t". Love your videos!!!!

Hi Vannesa, thanks for your amazing classes, and would you recommend us a dictionary or resource, where we can find the pronuntiation words that you show in this class. Thanks a lot.
I came here because of my activity to find mispronounced words and to pronounce them correctly. CLOTHES is too difficult for me to pronounce. Our teacher told us that it pronounce as "CLOZ". I have learned a lot watching this video. Thank you❤️
You are a best teacher to me or for me. Thank you
For brazilians is soooo hard remember to silence a letter!
We usually say all the letters in portuguese.
The pronunciation of "hEIght" remembers the "ei" sound in german
yeah, i got it
mein Bruder ist klug.
Thanksful! I learn so much with your channel.
Thanks you very much Vanessa ! Your lessons help me to come better in English skills ! 😀👍
As Italian native speaker one tricky word is "world"
It is pronounced w u r l d like the word whirled
try to pronounce wore-ld
Vanessa you're amazing. I was looking over the web for so long for someone like you to teach me the American pronunciation and finally I found you. Thanks to you my Siri can understand me now lol :) I wish I can meet you to tell you how thankful I am.
I loved this lesson, as always. Thanks you
Well, thank you for posting this videos i've learn a lot today. God bless.
Jewelry is the most difficult word of this top, but to me is "Important" word difficult to pronounce.
i always think of it as im- pore-tint. I'm a native English speaker so I hope I'm not too late to help XD
Great video Vanessa :). I hear 'cloe-thez' SO often. Another really common similar mistake is 'months'. A lot of students pronounce it 'mun-thez'. Your explanation here is really clear and I think it'll help some of my beginner students. Thanks! 👍😁
Thanx Teacher for this wonderful lesson
Vanessa's pronunciation is perfect.that's not what you will get out there. Different countries or different regions, different accents and pronunciation. Great lesson.
Only receipt's pronounciation was new to me cuz i was pronouncing it as ra-cipt earlier.
Btw thanks for the lesson😀😀😀😀
The word receipt i pronounce ri-'sit but ra-sii sounds texas accent i am not sure. Februaries ( plural ) .i am from florida.
@@danieljaime8173No i'm not from texas i'm from India.
Where are you from? 😀😀😀
For the Receipt, I used to pronounce it as "ri-seet" instead of "ra-seet". And I think both are acceptable since in UK they pronounce it as "ri-seet" similar with Often.
This is the best type of content to learn pronunciation and vocabulary. Thanks for this! Do you have a playlist with more videos like this?
Excellent explanations, good job Vanessa!!!
