- On the latest edition of Ask The Eagle we check out how to use a German oven.
There are many that have different settings but the ones that have just pictures can be confusing.
Temperatures are measured in Celsius here so it's always a good idea to have a cheat sheet around if you can't remember the conversions.

Okay but how long should I wait for it to preheat?
When you set the dial, the light is off when the heat reaches a certain temperature the light will turn on, or vice versa it will be on and then turn off that will tell you you've hit your heat
great informative info - i have a miele oven with a symbol I have no idea about - cannot find info anywhere - wonder if you can help - symbol is three wavy lines on their side - rather like three back S shapes laying down on their sides...very confused - the symbol appears three times on display. firstly on its own then with a fan next to it and then with the grill symbol next to it..please help....
Grill is not for grilling but for browning.
