    i think in the future, you should interview one person at a time.
    although its a nice interview, with interesting topics, but the fact that each time its two people responding, it makes it a bit cumbersome.
    i do like the fact that your briging interesting people, and i do think, that the conversation has to be about the present.
    not dwelling on chabad feelings from days gone by, but rather discussing topics that are relevant to todays day and age.

      I think in order to discuss what needs to be done in today's day and age people need to understand the truth of what happened then instead of whitewashing history. When we realize the job that we were given over 30 years ago we can then implement it now today in all the creative ways that we think of.

    I'm very confused. I thought you said the Moshiach was a human being and not a divine entity. If that's the case and you thought the Rebbe Schneerson was the Moshiach, why would you be surprised when he has a stroke and dies?

      Nobody ever envisioned the situation where "Moshiach" after he was already appointed and beginning to get the job done of redeeming the Jewish people would then bail and seemingly pass away. Everyone was convinced there was only one path forward and that was that he would redeem us. A big factor as well was that when the Rebbe assumed leadership of the movements you proclaim that this would be the 7th and last generation. This was something he said many times as well that ours was the last generation of exile and the first generation of redemption. It was us clear that him being the leader of the generation was planning on taking it to the finish line. Nobody or at least most people never even entertained the possibility of him seemingly passing away. Now that that did happen we're left with the choice of either saying that I guess it didn't pen out, or believing in all the things you told us I'd still being true and that we just need to continue the mission he gave us to greet moshiach and he will then take us out of exile like he promised us. As his chassidim it is clear that we choose the latter approach and we believe every word that he told us and thus we are sure that he will redeem us.

      That’s very xtian oriented. The moment he died, you should have realized that he wasn’t the one.

    • @NinaOvadia
      @NinaOvadia 4 місяці тому +1

      He should never have made those promises. They were in vain. Many people get caught up in the moment, even those with good intentions. But not breaking out of this reality becomes worshipping an idol. Hashem would expect us to ‘snap’ out of it. It’s very painful losing someone you love, cherish and respect. But some people don’t understand and they slip into depression, psychosis, delusional thinking. It’s a major setback for us spiritually too.

      @@NinaOvadia we are going to have to agree to disagreeon that. By me and most of the chabad movement, whatever they may advertise to the world, the Rebbe's word is the word of Hashem. (Shchina mida erea midocu gronoi)

      @NinaOvadia 4 місяці тому

      Yes I know. It appears that Hashem did not give the Rebbe a clearer vision of our redemption. Although the Rebbe had a major part in it. The question is, how will die hard chabadnicks react when a different person is appointed instead of the Rebbe? Will they revolt? Will they riot? Will they act sinfully? That would be a tragedy by far.

      Stay away from messianic cults. Some Chabads are good. Others are leading you astray. You can always look forward to the truth. Don’t settle for less. Don’t be desperate and don’t listen to false narratives like. Always be faithful to Hashem.

      The Torah warns against following after your heart. The way you feel is not always a very good predictor of what's true. You have to seek the truth and find it instead of labeling people a cult

      I'm not sure exactly what is bothering you. But just to clarify it is absolutely up to us the Jewish people to bring the redemption. It is our job throughout the exile to do all the work of serving God that would then bring about the revelation in the redemption. It is one of the 13 principles of faith to believe and yearn every single day in the coming of moshiach. The Rebbe told us that we were done with the work of exile and that the leader of the generation (himself) is also the Moshiach of the generation. That is to say that if this be the last generation he will be the redeemer. He also made clear that this is in fact the last generation and that he is the Redeemer. It's also clear that we are supposed to ask for moshiach.
      Both from classic Jewish texts and from the Rebbe discussing it himself multiple times. It is up to us and we're supposed to make it happen.
