- This was incredible! We're not too familiar with Kingdom and its format, but we're guessing it's a singing competition? We are sent to the heavens with the vocal powers of this trio! Eunkwang made the arrangement for this song cover and made jongho and seungmin shine with their vocals. Eunkwang also taught them techniques on their singing and helped them on how to deliver their parts. They were competing, yes, but on this round, they combined 3 groups out of 6 groups to compete. So, initially, they were teammates here.
The high note in the triple harmony was actually jongho ! Eunkwang was the middle, and seungmin was the low note

02:52, yes he is from the Straykids, It’s just that their title tracks don’t really showcase their vocal range. The vocalists of Straykids are very talented and sing incredibly good.
To think that Eunkwang really tailored this version to each and everyone's voice quality is really insane!

I became a BTOB Melody during Kingdom Legendary War. It was a competition but, since no one was eliminated, the teams created incredible stages and supported each other. BTOB 4U played a large part in building the show's encouraging and supportive environment. Eunkwang arranged the vocal parts and harmonies so that the younger ones could shine and the whole song would captivate any audience. When you read IU's heartfelt lyrics, you'll know that Eunkwang was expressing them, which he always does. For your own pleasure, I hope you'll react to BTOB, especially their live performances. Their self-composed work (starting in 2016) is the epitome of vocal, rap and instrumental harmonies, ad lips and layering.
2:41 that is THE FACE that everyone made when they heard THE KIM SEUNGMIN'S VOICE ahaha. Please check out his Leemujin service IT'A AMAZING one of the top 10 vocal performances of Leemujin service. And he is in skz HE IS THE MAIN VOCALIST. The thing in skz is they don't include crazy high notes in title tracks mostly rap based but he delivers his lines perfectly and he hit that notes most of his solo project it's not because he didn't hit high notes in skz title songs it doesn't mean he can't do it he can do it he just don't have a chance to showcase it in title tracks but he'll hit it in b sides and his solo projects like 2 kids show, leemujin service, Songby and more. He is one of the best main vocalist just his fandom company didn't promote him like the other members
Kim Seungmin's voice is so warm is so touching. He has a singing show called song by that is sooooo good hope you get to it. As well as his lee mujin service episode ❤

wanted to add there was no audience besides the judges and the other groups because Kingdom Legendary War was in 2020 during the covid pandemic well towards the end of it mostly. But were still restrictions. During the collaborations of Ateez, BtoB & Stray Kids they did 3 performances, when focus on Dance, other on Vocals, and one for Rap. Heads up spoiler, they won all 3 categories. This is the only time we got to see such performances and collaborations, and seeing them actually talking to each other and responding to each of their performances. The best show ever in k-pop.
@G.Lollie One small correction- Kingdom: Legendary Wars was in 2021. Road to Kingdom (which was won by The Boyz & gave them the spot in "Wars") was in 2020. An incredible era I don't think could ever happen again since it was born of necessity to give all these locked down groups a place to perform. Don't think schedules could ever coincide like that again.
Kim seungmin’s voice sounds like a violin
For this round of Kingdom, the six competing groups were divided into two large teams, and then each team was subdivided into a vocal, dance and rap unit. Team Mayfly was BtoB, Skz and Ateez, and they completely swept the competition. Both the rap unit performance to "Colours" and the dance unit performance to EXO's Wolf are well worth the watch!
if you guys ever feel interested in watching more of skz vocally, they have several episodes on the first take, and additionally, seungmin has a program here on youtube on his own called song by where he beautifully covers songs and talks about music

Third Gen has so many stunning artists/vocalists. Eunkwang is one of the best if not the best.
Jongho is the best 4th gen classical vocalist so far, and Seungmin is another great 4th gen vocalist, and in this song his power came through clearly. His tone is far less classical but still made a big impact. Putting the 3 together in the collab was legendary, to 'steal' the word from the show. Their vocals just rang out. Best stage of the show.
The audience was specialists and each other as well as fans watching on TV.
You guys should check out Stray Kids' more vocal-focused stuff, like the One Takes, the Lee Mujin episodes, and especially the main vocal Seungmin's Song By series, this last one is all about vocals, and he does these amazing live covers

Honestly, I thoroughly recommend checking out the whole series, even if it's just on your own time. in that, you also see the other groups reacting to whoever's currently performing, and Eunkwang stands out there too... you can see he was just having an absolute blast throughout!

“Love Poem”. Is still one of my all time favorites! They are all so good! The version where all the other team members are reacting to this performance is great!
I have seen this so many times and I still get goosebumps every time. This performance, you could see in the preparation scenes, how much they all loved performing together and were so excited to do so. Seungmin has said multiple times that this performance single-handedly reignited his passion for singing. They are all still close to this day because of this performance. I recommend watching the one with the other groups reactions during the performance now because it is so touching. They were all just as wrecked as we all were. SKZ's Changbin and Han in particular are so adorable and touching.

I get goosebumps every time I listen to this because they are so good. I love the other two units too ( Rap and dance) I recommend you to watch them too. Ateez, Stray Kids and BTOB were such a perfect collaboration.

Thank you so much for this reaction. This was to me the most legendary performance of the entire kingdom performances besides the Gods Du Du Du by Stray Kids. During the show the 6 groups had to become 2 groups. So BtoB, Ateez, and Stray Kids competed against the other group The Boyz, SF9, and iKon for a 3 of the performances. The rest of the time they were competing against each other. If you love vocals, you need to check out Seungmin's OST (he has many) and he also does covers on his videos he called Song by:, where he does covers. His vocals are powerful and beautiful. But for Stray Kids the high notes believe it or not is usually Han who is one of the main rappers. You can see his high notes on another KLW performance where Stray Kids did a cover of BtoB's song I will Be You Man. Hans high notes are no joke and is why they call him the Ace of kpop.

I could be wrong, but I believe Eunkwang is the child of an opera singer. Seungmin did a solo version of this song on his Song By series. All the ones hes posted there have been amazing. And Jongho is ALWAYS phenomenal
Eunkwang's mother is not an official opera singer, she didnt even have proper lessons for it, she has only been performing in the church choir and I guess the reason you said that she's an opera singer is because of their duet in Immortal Songs so i cant blame you too coz even I thought that she has had professional singer lessons but no she hasnt, and the Immortal Songs performance was her first performance with an actual audience (other than in church) 😄

They are really amazing and every state in the kingdom list is almost legendary.
Seungmin ( Stray Kids) is one of the greatest 4th gen vocalist. A lot of people here are underestimating him ❤ you should check his solo stuff out bc he also sings high notes it’s not just Jongho that can sing high 🎉

This was in early 2021 so there is no audience because Covid. Also for some episodes of kingdom they combine the 6 groups into 2 teams. BtoB, Stray Kids, and Ateez were also combined for a rap number, a dance number, and also Kindom’s sports day. As were, The Boyz, SF9, and Ikon.
P.S. I believe Jongho was only 20 or 21 when he gave this performance.

I think you would really enjoy all the Mayfly performances in Kingdom Legendary Wars especially the dance performance of ATEEZ with BTOB and Stray Kids. It’s an amazing performance! Also when ATEEZ covers Ikon’s song Rhythm Ta! They are absolutely next level performers and they made it totally their own version! It’s incredible! New subscriber here for your journey down the ATEEZ rabbit hole! I am a hard core Atiny! In my opinion no other group can match their talent. You have vocalists who can rap and rappers who can sing and 8 performance monsters! They are thrilling to watch and worth every penny to see them live! If you are interested is seeing anything more with Stray Kids, I would definitely recommend their live performace of "Hold My Breath." It is so beautiful and really shows that each member is so vocally talented--play the game, who are the rappers 😊 (I mean there is a moments where you'll know a couple them at least but...) GOT7 just had a killing voice. I don’t think y’all have ever reacted to them. They have been around since 2014 and were in JYP( same company as Stray Kids and DAY6) they left around 2020 and had a comeback in 2022, and have recently had another comeback this year! They are super talented and their killing voice reaction will definitely blow you away.

The high notes were Jongho. I think the more you watch Ateez it will be easier to distinguish his voice. I suggest Jongho's covers on Immortal Song since you like high notes. One is So You. I can't recall all the titles, just Google. I also recommend the other members solos. Yunho's Be Alright, Minig's Untitled, San has several beautiful ones. It's too much to list all members.

Immortal songs is a show where singers go to rearrange and perform a song from another artist's discography (used to be more of older artists but I think it has changed). Sometimes, they pick a song with a theme to perform. The audience vote on their favourites pitting two performances until there's a winner.
The original artist usually attends and if they can't, a representative will attend. In Eunkwang's performance, you'll see the original singer, Baek Z Young
