This would fit right in on Death Magnetic. It’s long. It is repetitive. It’s crunchy. New Megadeth is pure speed metal. It’s amazing!
I've listened/followed the whole "Metallica" thing for lots of years. I have a love/dislike/hate type thing with them. This new album and the upcoming songs I really seem to love!! Not as "metallic" as the earlier stuff, but ok

First, I am a HUGE Metallica fan. That said, I'm not a mindless idiot. I completely agree with you Mat. Musically, is wasn't bad. It was too drawn out and repetitious. I wouldn't worry too much about your subs fleeing the channel. ;)

Same problem as in always with "newer" (past 1991) Metallica. Its too long and it overstays its welcome.
I miss the metal days. They have gone rock N roll in their older days. And I'm a big Metallica fan.
I can still listen to the Music but I miss the feeling inside I felt in the Master of puppets days. 😔

I think if you’re a Metallica fan you have to give a shout out to them that they’ve been doing this for over 40 years and I listen to all the reactor say oh they’re not what they used to be all they don’t got it. Oh this is mid Taliga. You know it’s like I want to see if you in your job have the same passion after 40 years they’re still pumping out music I’m not knocking you you your review is great I mean yes it is repetitive. I will agree with you to that extent, but Show respect for respects do metallica deserves to have the ring kissed. They’ve definitely earned their stripes they can afford to have a couple of misfires here and there, and to them it’s not misfires is their artist they’re creating music so the art they create is the art they want to create you as the fan it is your right to interpret the art. Anyway, you want me I’m a solid fan, I’m just saying in a nutshell, just give the band a break at the age of 60 to still be pumping out music and even give you something to react to is amazing the argument here is the arrangement and placement of the words the refs, the repetitiveness of certain things but I feel like I want a quote and episode of the Sopranos it’s not how big the envelope is is what have you earned for me today that’s what a lot of these UA-cam reactors are acting like what has metallica done for me today it’s like one repetitive song in a race decades of great music

This one is sadly a bit of a dud. Actually like the previous 2 tracks but someone really should have been on hand for editing this track down and I hate to say it but I feel that Kirk needs to leave the solos alone for a while, maybe have more of a breakdown approach?

I think After their first new album ‘Hardwired to self destruct’ they dug themselves into a deep hole they couldn’t get out of. Metallica sucks ass now. Old Metallica will always be my favorite! This song ‘If Darkness Had A Son’ has an old school Metallica vibe to it and I love it! Probably my favorite song on the unreleased Album so far.

Metallica's work has been this way since Hardwired, IMO. One or 2 riffs at most per song. Can't stand their stuff since then. Feeling you, man. Thought the exact same thing.
I love Metallica but that riff goes on for days and doesn't really change up much! It was a safe song for them. They are way better than this! I agree with Matt..running out of ideas as a band but it's still Metallica!

That's pretty much how I feel about all Metallica since the Black Album. It's just recycled riffs and totally uninspiring. I think I'm just over traditional heavy metal tbh.
