I love that our two main characters can talk to each other and the supporting cast gave good advice. Such a good series overall.

I loved every second of this ep. This show is the best romance of the season for me. It's incredible in its own way.
Tbh, all the characters feel real. Saki and Yuuta's struggles through the show is so sad and entertaining at the same time. The side characters as well.
Also, i appreciate SO MUCH the author's weekly comments man...he gave so much insight on so many things.
I usually find glasses character to be kinda boring, but man Kaho became my favorite character this ep. She's smart, nice, mature, have an interesting backstory, a pretty cool design...just everything in her is atractive as a character for me LOL
I really want this to have a S2. I already know a few things that will happen, and i can't wait to see it.
Anyway, great show. And I like how you went out of the reaction way to read the comment there as well. I'm gonna miss this show.

    Some things from the LN:
During Yuuta and Kaho's outing, she tells him her past as they walk through what is essentially the slums of Shibuya. Since she is an unwanted child from an unwanted marriage, they didn't bother to look for her. She found a second home among the vice-ridden and those beaten down by life. Until she was found and adopted by an old lady running a store in those areas. "Auntie" is not a wrong translation but "granny" would've made more sense.
Saki says "I'm okay with it" which is not wrong, but does not convey the entirety of it. A more accurate one would be "I don't hate it" which is more anxiety-inducing than "I'm okay with it".
V4 was already good, a standout due to how different it was but here, it was taken even further imo. The VA work has always been incredible but this was phenomenal. All throughout the volume, it's just piling on anxiety, guild, frustration, disappointment, and denial. It was too much to the point that the entire conversation during breakfast and the one afterwards was so suffocating. It's why at the end of the confession, relief is the most prevailing emotion. It's so good.
There's a recap thing on the 26th so I hope we get more, there's a lot of stuff I need to see adapted.

For sure! I'm going to start reading the LN's from VOL 1 and to the end of the anime.

Overall, I felt like it was a good show. I still feel that some of the early episodes wasted a bit too much time with long, silent shots, but it still worked for me as entertainment. While it is a bit of a slow burn, it manages to feel relatively natural in pace, as the plot has a bit of time to show us how the characters come together. Of course, the LN is going to have more context and is worth reading for those that want it.

On the contrary, I thought those long, silent shots really captured the initial akwardness of their situation pretty well. It's a pretty common technique in film that you don't see a lot in anime. This series is meant to feel like reality and I appreciate it for sticking to its guns cinematically.
