She did so well! Im mad that almost nobody paid attention or clapped for her cause that was amazing and such a beautiful and hard song to play! I wouldve cheered for her
It's not 80's - it was from 1979 based on a true event, about the 1979 Cleveland Elementary School shooting in San Diego that injured eight and killed two individuals.
I love the way people carry on with their lives, meeting and walking past whilst you play your heart out. It's great grounding for a successful career.
Just now realized this is actually your account lol girl i just wanted to say you absolutely nailed that! Hope youll continue to follow your passion and put smiles on our faces with your skill and talent! Much love from germany
@@JustMe-ql9li she's 13, 14 at most. That would make her parents about 40. The original was a hit in the summer of '79, almost 45 years ago. I call that "a good chance".
@@ronaldv_tm still, that song was on radio all the time well into the 2000s is what im saying. Im 24 and i grew up with alot of this music because of radio. Js
@@JustMe-ql9li "all the time" would be a bit of an exaggeration, unless you're only listening to oldies stations. Which is fine, to each their own, but I clearly wrote "when this was a hit" in my original post. And that was the summer of '79.
I'm sure when she's older if she writes one as good as this song then she will get a gold or even platinum like Bob Geldof did for writing this classic.
Beautifully played! Written back in the day when one could write a haunting song about a school shooting because, well, they were so rare and almost unheard of back then.
People ha d so little respect for music, musicians and live performance. What a talent. I suspect she learned that song by ear. And, what a telling choice of songs. A 16-year-old girl shot and killed two people and Injured another nine at a San Diego elementary school in 1979. When asked why by a reporter she replied, "I hate Mondays." This song is emblematic of our times of school shootings, of fear that schoolkids live with every day they go to class. I cannot imagine what these children live with. But this talented girl knows.
What some people don't know is the story behind the song, it involves a 15,yr old American schoolgirl, who borrows her dad's rifle, and starts killing innocent schoolchildren, in her hometown, all because she could not stand Monday mornings???????

I bet if a 40-something man did this, he'd draw police attention.
@@spqdallas ...as opposed to a teen? or 20 something?
@@juan69508 Police would be interested in the profile and the subject of the song since most mass shootings are done by middle aged men.
Goddammit no paid attention. And she said it perfectly
