So they didn't test thier products to see if hats made with this could cause an allergic reaction! Sounds like a lawsuit waiting to happen when people are selling products made with this and not notifying thier customers.
I made 5 hats at Christmas, I used my mini press, sublimation and I rolled a bath sheet as tight as I could and tied it with fabric to hold it's rolled shape to insert into the hat, it worked great.👍
Would love to see Cricut come with a tumbler press....a version similar to the mug press but taller and can carry up to the 30 oz tumbler....that would be awesome....the mug press works wonders so imagine the tumbler press
I would love to see a new mug press as well to use with different sizes. Like the hat press, but just don't make many of those so would probably still use my mini press. Thank you Angie. Love your testing video's so looking forward to that.
Angie, you do the best videos. I ordered my hat press at 12:12 am on the 13th. I just got it on Sunday the 20th. I opened the box and no hat press. I got the heat tape, iron on material and hats. I couldn't believe it. I called customer service and she told that they were having a lot of problems like this. She said that I will get the hat press soon. The bundle I got was on sale.

I always recommend waiting for a sale with Cricut. Remember at a new product launch you are seeing the suggested retail price. They will drop it below that.
The hat press is nice but as a person who has owned a Cricut Explore and now a Maker it is disappointing that Cricut comes out with new items but we remain with the small print and cut size. I love their heat tape! I did find a good alternate on Amazon for the regular grip though. I am sure some strong grip will come out soon from off brands.

Thanks for the awesome video! I love the idea of putting your heat resist tape in a dispenser but I’m having trouble finding one that will hold a roll that wide. Where did you get yours from?!
You warned folks with nut/walnut allergies about using the hat form. Is there going to be a problem for someone with a nut allergy to wear a hat that was pressed on the walnut form?
The warning on the press form does not say that. I just read the information that was included from Cricut. I do think it is more precautionary as you don't actually come into contact with the shells.

There's usually cardboard inside the bill of the trucker or baseball caps. It doesn't make any sense to require people to login to an external service or website in order to use a piece of standalone hardware. Nor does it make sense to have to use a wireless controller via software on a person's mobile phone or tablet PC. Bluetooth is easily broken into.

They said they did not plan to at launch. Now they can always change their minds.
Can the app be used if I’m not using cricut vinyl and infusable ink?
Yes! You can set a custom time and temperature. See this video: ua-cam.com/video/aAPByrtWySA/v-deo.html
Thanks for this great video…I’m impatiently waiting to order this Hat Press. You explained everything perfectly but I do think you may use too much of the Heat Press tape when pressing HTV…just my opinion.
You can try it yourself. I find that the carrier sheet wrinkles and I wouldn't get a good press.
Better to be safe then sorry you could also check online for other heat press tapes that are strong grip. I rarely use Cricut Heat tape unless it comes with something I have purchased from them like a bundle etc.
I love their heat tape! I did find a good alternate on Amazon for the regular grip though. I am sure some strong grip will come out soon from off brands.
TOMORROW IT COMES OUT.
do you know what stores will sell them
I linked to the ones I know about in the description below the video. On computer, click show more. On mobile, swipe up on the video or click the arrow to expand the description.
Thank you for demo
Thanks for watching!
Thanks for the awesome video! I love the idea of putting your heat resist tape in a dispenser but I’m having trouble finding one that will hold a roll that wide. Where did you get yours from?!
Just Amazon! It is just an office tape dispenser.
Can you use this on beenie hats
Sure. Try this: ua-cam.com/video/qzQ_JGsLoUI/v-deo.html
Will they come out with a different filler instead of using walnuts for the form?
Not to my knowledge.
I am following up with Cricut about this to make sure!
I would love to know too.
Official allergy statement from Cricut: Cricut Hat Press™ includes a Hat Pressing Form that contains walnut shells. Cricut has applicable ALLERGY WARNING information posted on our product details page, outer packaging, internal shrink-wrapping of the Hat Pressing Form, and permanently affixed on the care instructions label on the Hat Pressing Form itself. While we do not currently believe that hats are unsafe to wear after heat pressing using the Hat Pressing Form, we highly recommend you consult with your allergy specialist if you have any concerns about the severity of any allergies. In case of any irritation, immediately wash skin with soap and water; if irritation persists, seek immediate medical attention.
Thank you!
You bet!
I just want the hat form lol
Angie do you think they will be selling the hat form only?
At this time, they don't have plans to. Now they can change that tomorrow or never change their minds!
what about dtf tranfer press
The hats look to be adult size...will kid hats fit the hat form?
I am working on that for a future video!
Will this work for youth and toddler size hats? Or will Cricut offer different sizes of forms
I am experimenting with those now. I hope to have a video up end of the week!
What is the name of the heat app?
Try this: ua-cam.com/video/aAPByrtWySA/v-deo.html
How much will you charge for a sublimated hat item & a HTV hat item?
I have advice on pricing here: ua-cam.com/video/m5XLCUG1Z_w/v-deo.html
@@AngieHolden oh my Thxs so very much, I told your your “Awesome Angie”
There's usually cardboard inside the bill of the trucker or baseball caps. It doesn't make any sense to require people to login to an external service or website in order to use a piece of standalone hardware. Nor does it make sense to have to use a wireless controller via software on a person's mobile phone or tablet PC. Bluetooth is easily broken into.
Or cricut can make mugs with a skinny rectangle handle where we can put a name on handle
nice teaching video
Does the hat press have a case to store it and carry it?
No it does not.
