The still images in this compilation are just amazing, each one is like a work of art.Great to see some steam locomotives on the move again.Outstanding compilation of videos and pictures.👌🏼
Dis n plesier Charel, ek is bly jy kon hierdie ongewone treintjie in lewende lywe sien.
Absolutely stunning footage. It is great to see the crews recognised too. Beautifully compiled still photos too. It reminds me of my trip to Elgin from Cape Town 2-3-2019 behind 3322 (with Diesel) DOMINIQUE. Fabulous trip. At that time 3321 JESSECA and the RED DEVEL were in Cape Town with 3322. Where is 3322 now? Thank you so much for sharing. When this pandemic is over, I will be bringing my wife over from our home in Brazil, and ride behind your beautiful steamers. She loves Maria Fumacas as they call them there.
Hi Dale, Thank you for the view and comments!!! I have been over to your channel as well - some very interesting uploads there too ... especially from Brazil.
@@RAILFANinSOUTHAFRICA Thank you, for visiting my channel. The operations in Brazil are not on the mainline, but there are quite alot of small operations around the country. Most of the steam restorations are done by ABPF (Associação Brasileira de Preservação Ferroviária) in Curitiba, in Parana State. I have subscribed to your channel, as I have loved South African Railways, especially steam, ever since I road on the footplate of an S2 in Cape Town in 1979.
Incredible hybrid power!!! Love the diesel hooting at 14:07 while he refuels with coal. The static images are vibrant and full of color, Im very keen as to why there were coaches, I presume for braking?
Hi Shurwin, Glad you've enjoyed this. Ja, some funny moments in the footage like the one you,ve mentioned! Spot the baked bean tin in the cab - sure the contents were eaten with the good-looking sausages! I am not sure about the coaches, they are currently working on some coaches at Ceres, I believe the one's on this train are also going for some work. Some before and after images of the other coaches can beseen on the CERES RAIL COMPANY facebook page.
A wonderful compilation of video and still shots Piet! Fantastic job!! Thanks again for sharing! Those skies tell me that Winter is not too far away from “ die goeie Ou Kaap😊” Are these steam engines for enthusiasts? Take care and stay safe. Groete uit Memphis. Steve.

@Peter Rogers Thank you Peter. Jeandre phoned me earlier this evening, so I could ask him. Apparently, the diesels stayed over for the weekend in order to bring in a fruit train from Ceres on Monday? I seldom see these fruit trains here in Brackenfell as they come in here around sun-set or even later in the dark.
Good job thanx to all involved. getting to see all your steam traction including 3450 the Devil🤣is on my wishlist to see in reAl time. just to double check 3321 is Bailey? or the other loco or neither?. thought id recognise that number?😁
Sorry Jacques, I should have included this in the video: It is now in the description: BAILEY Class 19B #1412 & JESSICA Class 19D #3321. 3450 could not join in the fun as she is too heavy and large for the last leg of the route through Michell's Pass to CERES. She was formerly serviced at the shed in WORCESTER and possibly will go there again.
@@RAILFANinSOUTHAFRICA Thank you. can you perhaps tell me what 3450's current status is, able to run or not? the loco seems to be not much used after the repairs, covid excluded from the scenario lol
@@jacquespats2128 Unfortunately I do not have the exact facts, the Red Devil should be OK, but I seem to remember that she had a few minor details which still needed to be ironed out after the last repairs.
