LYRICS
I'm selling heavenly sketches
A world out of my mind
Ready to explode in purity
To fill the holes inside
An ever-moving stream
With glowing rays of light
Emotions tied to past lies
And I know I should let go
Tamed with confidence of brighter future
I found a flame in the burnt out ashes
Burn out, burn out
Fueled, these new shores burn
Dark past lies cold
Shadow, my sweet shadow
To you, I look no more
Another dawn collapses
Do I need
To be reminded?
A glimpse of my safe home
A path to hide all anger
I found a flame in the burnt out ashes
Burn out, burn out
Fueled, these new shores burn
Dark past lies cold
Shadow, my sweet shadow
To you, I look no more
In circles, I catch
A torch carried by the immortal
From depths that I created
In vain, echoes fade (Fade, fade, fade)
Burn out
Fueled, these new shores burn
Dark past lies cold
Shadow, my sweet shadow
To you, I look no more
Fueled, these new shores burn
Dark past lies cold
Shadow, my sweet shadow
To you, I look no more
Fueled
Dark past lies cold
To you, I look no more
Fueled

Still just as epic after a decade. Suspect I’ll be back in 2030 as well.
See you then :)
We can hope so INFLAMES WE TRUST !
They only recorded this video in 480p def? Sad.
As long as it doesn't burn out until then
A decade? This song was released in 2004!
This track will always hit hard when you need it
When? If I'm deaf?
That ending is so perfect for this song. makes me sad, reminds me of the past...
Look to your shadows no more my friend, all that matters is right now!
Yeah you right,, when was the Real in Flames
Then listen to old In Flames.
The past sucks. Spend as much time away from it as you can.
NoSkates My past is much better than my boring: go to work all day, go to bed, wake up and do it again current life.
I had so many amazing times I am happy to lived such a great life then.
Ever so often I return to this song. It still hits me as hard as a teenager when I first heard it on a train platform on my way to my last year in high school. Going strong for 18 years and I realized I am now 36, have mourned, loved, laughed, raged, reconciled, promised, given up, pushed through, fought, lost, won, overcame so many things and the song still carries meaning and release after all these years. This is my song, this is my anthem and I will return over and over again until the day I pass and I won't regret a second listening to it.
Aw! You're show poetic! :3
Same age as you and I felt every word. Hell yeah. Stay strong, brother.
these new shores burn
Elitist much?
@@mac11daddy6 How's that, exactly? The dude has his anthem, and some of us know exactly what he said up there, and echo every last drop of sentiment. Elitist? Not sure you know the meaning. People are allowed to run the gamut of emotions in life without being elitist.
We listen. Stop asking what year.
Some of us can't remember so be nice
Still banging head in 2024 🤟🏼
Hell yeah
I don't think people realize how legendary this is. I feel bad for those who only listen to mainstream music.
Well, I think it depends, In flames is pretty mainstream in Europe
@@ruiplas yeah, but back then it wasn't.
One of the greatest metal bands that need more recognition....
The funniest part I that this is relatively a mainstream band in metal world.
been a follower of this band since my old friend introduced me to them back in '04. Badass
2024 people where you at!?
Here we are
WE OUT HERE!!!
Rock FOR EVER
Here 🤘
Right here my G, rocking In Flames at least once every day
2021. Still pure dope 🌹
"Fueled, these new shores burn, dark past lies cold
Shadow, my sweet shadow, to you I look no more" Fantastic.
I don’t understand why this is considered their bad song. this is one of the best they’ve made. Great music, composition and good vocals. My favourite of inflames.
Maybe their best 30 songs are before Clayman album lol
pls show me those ppl who say this song is bad ....
Literally one of In Flames BEST song EVER!!!!!!
@Some Kind of Master
Exact, And IF did Only Great Music, xD
They changed they style over the time.. yes they did, but theyre still one of worlds best bands an musicians..
30 Years on stage these are LEGENDARYS
IN FLAMES WE TRUST
'Cause this album was garbage back in the day... they changed a lot man after Whoracle... This is the closest they get to the so-called ''Nu Metal' crap... after many years it sounds good but damn I hated this album for like 10+years it's true
At 13 years old me to now 31 still with the flames.
True loyalty
This is how metal music videos should be
Yea I agree with you as Metal is a concept not Satan worshipping.
Garbage of video but good music
Yes this is on point
Which metal though? There are literally hundreds of sub-genres each with their own style.
Personally, I think this video is kinna dull.
You need you need to get out more
Who else is listening in 2020 ?
Where else would I be?
Good music know no age
I will listen to In Flames until the day i die
Me, cuz The current in flames songs are a joke 🥶
Never gets old ♥️
Saw them live in 2005 at Ozzfest. This song takes me back to high school. I am 35 now and this song still rocks.
The current tour has vip meet and great for under $200. Can't wait until Sept 28th. Going to ask about this song.
I literally found this band 3 days ago and already I have 5 albums, probably gonna get more, and they are now one of my favorite bands. I really wish I found these boys a while ago, their music is absolutely amazing!
They are still legendary,I grew up listening to them. I still can’t get enough. They helped with my depression.
Same here lmao
I started with Ordinary Story on spotify lol then got curious. It's still my fave.. Great taste they kick ass🔥🔥🔥
I actually became an IF fan through their 2016 album, Battles. Within a few months, I was listening to Colony and Whoracle. I love all their discography though. Each Album is good in its own way to me
Better late than never bro
How does this only have 3.2m views, it's a masterpiece!
Because "popular" music has duped the majority into thinking that "artists" who buy their songs and put them to computer generated bass beats/finger snapping, is cool.
I love how they go hard 0.5 seconds in, no intro just shredding, it just sets the tone for the entire song even though there are softer parts later on
Who's headbanging to this in 2020 ?
In flames we trust
Right here! in flames is so awesome I've been listening to them forever. ❤
The passion in this song is unreal
Does any one else just come back to this masterpiece and just flashback from 2003. Was my favorite song
Truly a masterpiece.
To this day still their BEST song ever 🤘🏻
I can't believe I've been listening for over 20 years!! Thank you for this awesome music
I know. I was so stoked when my mom bought me this album when it came out lol!! rock on brother.
This song tho... makes my soul come out of my body. This is deep meditation to me, when i need to think, when i need to bring back the man and the warrior within..
Thank you for this
I can remember the part of my life during which this song came out. Man, those were some good times...I miss those days. 😞
This song.. simply unforgetable!
I have this video in much better quality....

2019, still one of the best songs ever :)
One of the greatest songs ever made.
This was the album that opened the gateway to the rest of in flames and metal back in 2004/2005. The songs for my adolescent years lol I never thought Soundtrack was a bad album.
7/29/24.... and STILL one of the best songs ever
Can you imagine the director for this video? Gasoline!!!! I need more Gasoline!!! Bigger, bring me the Sun!
🤣
"I found a flame in the burnt out ashes" Этим все сказано
Oh yeah
I saw In Flames in Boulder Co in 2014 and they played their set, which was amazing, and then left the stage, after a few minutes they came back on to play this as an encore. This is my favorite In Flames song so them capping off their show with this made it the best concert of my life.
saw them a few times, this song seemed to hold a special place in their hearts as they encored it multiple times on different tours :) love it
What a great song, love it ❤
One of my favorite songs of all time. 2021. Will never not be legendary.
Songs like these are immortal.
Behold, the golden ages of In Flames. And Anders looking totally kickass with his dreads.
The golden age ended after Clayman
Omair Sheikh
Blah
demonkoryu Agreed
It ended when Jesper left.
@@88omair So you loved In flames for one album. Tragic...
These screams are still unmatched. So emotional, so deep
От этой песни у меня хоть в 2007, хоть в 2020 идут мурашки от шикарности и драйва💪🏻🤟🏻
разъёбывает как в первый раз!
От этих парней из клипа не осталось и следа (
Sounds of the underground....2006 San Antonio. Closed with this song, I was diagnosed with cancer..... escaped the hospital with my cousin who bought the tickets thinking I'd be dead soon.... best fucking time of my life. IV in my arm never came out as wild as the crowd was. Gwar was sick as well
✔️💯🏆🤘👋
After 5 years of stopping from listening to heavy metal and now back here again.... the beauty and love for it is just ❤️❤️❤️
Same. I moved on to something more mainstream and now coming back to the melo-death scene is like finding a whole new world. Just as refreshing as it was back in 2006 when I first heard it.
One of my absolute favorite In Flames song ever!!!!!
I listened first the acoustic version, than this....it was so astonishing
Ludi Kole they sang this acoustically? Omfg why haven’t I heard of this ? Thank you 💚
@@ScottishMech nono its not their cover i heard first. I meant the cover done by Andreas Valken(i think...just search acoustic and you will find it!)
Maybe there is also a in flames acoustic cover but i dont know
Ludi Kole i gotcha, searched it and found that dude your talking about, hes decent!
@@ScottishMech he has a lot of acouatic versions, i love them all
ONE OF THE BEST SONGS EVER AND BEST LIVE THANK YOU TO MY MATE AZZA YOU GOT ME INTO THIS KIK ASS BAND & KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK INFLAMES ROCKS🤘🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼
That riff in the beggining is eargasmic
This is the track I want on my funeral. No shit - my wife knows this.
It can't be an In Flames video without fireworks.
Красивая девочка
Right now 2024 🤘🏻
Still my favorite band after 13 years
This will always be my favorite song.
I am listening them in 2024 and will listen then until I die.
I saw In Flames twice and both times they ended with this song. Just hearing that outro, the lights going down and everyone cheering them on stage was just beautiful. Easily the best ending to a concert I have ever seen.
1:30 "These new shorts burn" :D
Damn you.. haha. Does it have something to do with "selling ham in the kitchen"? 0:40
Once you heard it, you can't unhear it. I forgot the acutal text after reading this!
:D it always reminds me of those awesome times when I did not know english and every lyrics of a foreign band was an exercise in figuring out a russian-sounding close version of it
Love these variants
2022 still listening to this !!! love it
It feels like it was in my past life , im 30 and feel like 60… crazy
Dear in flames. Please play this in KS on Sept 28th. Going to ask again in person on Sept 28th.
In Flames you are the first band that got me into Swedish Melodic Death Metal. Still listening since then.
Best era
I love how thick the sound is, they did a great job on the master.
Gotta love those thick juicy guitar riffs and sharp drum kicks.
Alright, I've listened to this under a Colorado night clear sky. Makes sense to my soul.
Long time ago, this song got me into In Flames. I still think it's one of their best.
This song is what got me into In Flames 12 years ago, never got bored of listening to it because it's incredible!
The outro is so beautiful
I remember when this first came out and still one of the best
- In Flames: "Hi, we want a badass clip for our song"
- The clip filming director: "You guys are In Flames, right?... Say no more for your clip."
I first listened to this song when I was in high school. This was the first song from In Flames I ever listened to. To this day, this is still not only my favorite one from In Flames (my favorite band), but also my favorite song in general. And I listen to a lot of music!
The most important band of the 21st century.
This song kicks major ass
Best... Song... Ever!!!!
+Maximilian Schuster the beginning is just fucking amazing
This song is such a gem, nothing compares
I LOVE IN FLAMES
The synth backing to the main riff in this song, which fades in the outro, made this the perfect concert closer for a number of years. The image of the five dudes taking bows onstage while the outro to this song continues in the background, and the crowd screams, will always stay with me. What a metal epic.
Such an amazing song, as it will be in 20 years.
I love the piro tech in this video
I love them
Anders is a fucking handsome man
15 years with In Flames, THANK YOU FOR EVERYTHING.
Has to be the best In Flames song ever! The first song I ever heard from these guys! Its a quiet but at the same time so intense and brutal!
This song changed my life for the better for ever. I saw them some times live at their prime. Arvikafestivalen in Arvika, local gig in my hometime Karlstad, Metaltown in Göteborg. It resonates so well with me and so many others. Long Live In Flames.
The feel this song gives is masterpiecely mindblowing!
No need for complicated arrangements
one of the best songs they did..new albums have nothing on there older stuff..iv loved them since the first album
Stfu. I the mask is one of the best albums out there
01:20 Everything is on fire in this bridge before the chorus. The lead guitar (no rhytm guitar), the drums, the singing, the backing track, the lyrics... Even the cymbals sound like something is burning! I still remember the summer of 2004 when I spent 24/7 listening to this album. I was 18 years old. It was hot and In Flames was hot and I used to scream out loud in the middle of the street singing along. The nostalgia is immense. If I had to choose one bit from In Flames and trade all the others away, I would pick between 01:20 and 01:28. I FOUND A FLAME IN THE BURNT OUT ASHES!!! Long live In Flames!
you and me both bro... 13 years for me and this album is still amazing
@@JoseGonzalez-wy6cs In Flames We Trust!
They've always had some of the best guitar tones out there
These guys should be inducted into the rock/metal hall of fame!
This song will always be my favorite metal songs. My taste in music is every where these days, but when it come to my favorite metal song its this one ✌️ still listening in 2023. It's been a hell of a ride, yall. Shadow, my sweet shadow ❤️
Soundtrack to your escape . A quiet place was the first I heard from this . mad album. But this is something else. Shadow my sweet shadow , to you I look for more.

Ah this song. This band. This era got me through a lot of shit in school.
