Alice’s suicide was the greatest bit of horror in the entire game, genuinely terrifying as a revelation. It’s the same brand of disturbing you get from the final Koskela ad, with Jakkoa’s silhouette. Mr. Scratch was evil in American Nightmare but he was despicable in this
I think it's neat how much more of an active role she has in this game when she isn't even there in person. Reminds me of Dr. Darling
Definitely Dr. Darling vibes. I hope both of them will play a more physical role in their respective sequels
Those photos of Alice stepping off the cliff literally sent chills down my spine. Crazy good stuff Remedy.
I thought they were gonna kill her off that way. It was seriously depressing. I cried.
It’s nice to hear that Barry is looking after alice after alan disappeared in the dark place it goes to show that he isn’t hanging with alan for money and fame he truly was his best friend and cared for him and alice even tho alice didn’t care about about him and alice saw that and appreciated him now. I hope we get those three to reunite in the future.
Barry is a great example of a character getting me to go from "Man I can't stand this dude" to "Oh hell yeah I love this guy."
Plus Barry didn't like Alice either so he really didn't have to look out for her, especially if he believes that Alan is dead. So him going so far to help her and to keep in touch even after he leaves New York shows what kind of person Barry is, in spite of his personality.
Christina Cole was sooo good and convincing in the role! I don’t know how she just possessed herself as Alice with so much sadness and raw energy without even voicing in the first game??
Yeah, I'm hoping that if they do get around to making AWIII that she's a major part of it. These video diaries blew me away.
Christina Cole is seriously amazing in this game. For anyone who is unaware, she is also Anabella in Final Fantasy XVI, where she delivers another incredible performance. She definitely had one hell of a year in 2023.
She’s really such a talent. SO underrated she’s played some incredible roles and doesn’t get nearly enough credit
@@Gefahrbabushkin Absolutely, I couldn’t agree more. I would really love to see Christina appear far more often.
The third part left me with an incredibly bad body.
Such raw, crude and cold emotion in the silence of the final photos... I- I just don't have words to express it.
So did Alice orchestrated Alan's escape all along? Did she jump into the lake? Maybe she isn't dead. She was in the Dark Place this whole time.
Yes. The video we saw of her death was her jumping into the lake (at least I think it was). She helped Saga save Alan with the photos and the clicker and the light bullet. The photo of the hand and the hand holding the clicker was hers. What I want to know is who was helping her stay under the radar in the Dark Place? Did she create her own safe haven (the dark place museum) or is Mr Door secretly helping her.
@@TheBlackKakashi Somewhere during Initiation, Alan talks to Zane on the phone and Zane asks him 'Did Alice get out of the Dark Place?', with the assumption being when you hear it that he's referring to the first game. But with the context of the game's ending, he was very likely referring to the events of the second. I believe her and Zane collaborated on a film, possibly as a mutual agreement to help both Zane and Alan. Alice made her directorial debut with 'The Dark Place' documentary, and most likely worked with Zane to create the scenes we see between Alan and Zane. Hell, I'd go as far as to say she's the 'director' of these scenes.
Think back to when Zane gets shot in the head and he wakes up saying 'now THATS drama' to someone off-camera. It was Alice he was talking to.
Christina Cole probably had been Remedy's Choice to play as Alice Wake to replace the Late Brett Madden. For me, Christina Cole feels Fit to play as Alice after all
I know it might not be the case but after ending on her mid credit scene reveal I can’t not hear Follow You Into the Dark and not feel like it was her song.
It hit real heavy on the second play through.
So it sounds like if they make an alan wake 3 it could be Ascension where Alan finally gets out and goes home or becomes the new bright presence.
Sorry to break your dreams, but he already escaped. The Final Draft is a new game+ patch where he manages to escape the spiral.
@@dragondelsur5156do you not remember the phone call he gets from himself where he reveals he's going to go back?
@@pariahlord3540 Thematically speaking, Alan has gone through the events of the game a lot of times, it's an endless cycle because of how Return ends: Alan gets shot and goes back to the starting point, as does Saga. The Final Draft actually makes Alan rewritte the ending with the limited knowledge of the loops, making Scratch "a part of his own darkness".
@@dragondelsur5156 your response is a borderline non-sequitur, that has nothing to do with the fact he gets a call from Future Alan who says, when he asks if he'll ever get out, "yes, and no." It's so obvious it's being setup for him to go back in some way.
The amazing Christina Cole
She was so damn good! And she's just monologing to the camera. That's gotta be a tough thing cuz so much of acting is reacting and you miss that element with just one actor in the scene.
The acting throughout the game is just stellar. Really hoping that Porretta and Ilkka Villi win best performance at TGA.
She deserves so much more credit than she gets for all her work! She’s incredible
The first time I've seen it it scared me more than anything in my life
For what i know Alice should be alive in the oldest house, when she enter in the hose with the last director the dark present lost her location. The oldest house is protective against external entity
i there ever is a alan wake 3, i hope we get to play as alice !
Christina Cole has way better American accent than Melanie Liburd who plays Saga. Every time Saga says her last name to somebody her pronunciation sounds British.
Hey, please answer yes or no whether Alan Wake makes it back from the dark place or not
He technically did for a while, but he brought the dark presence with him via inside him. He went back inside to save saga who was thrown into the dark place
Apparently, he's not in a loop but spiral. Alice is not dead but in the dark place helping him.
Sorry if I am spoiling
So they still haven't reunited?
Why are you ruining the game for yourself, watching spoilers… go buy it and play the game yourself
@@alphamineronwhat if he likes just watching...
Hate people like you tryna discredit how people experience things just because its different from you
@@thechrisman1345 u must be a special kinda stupid.
my comment is neutral, while you are here showing hostility about how you hate "people like me" and advocating for "watching" video games like movies. HAhahahaaa
Where are these 7 locations, you are not showing them. I want to collect these for myself.
Just finished this last night and Alice’s part 3 left me completely chilled it felt like analog horror it was amazing
Considering how into internet horror and scp Sam Lake is, I'd be willing to bet he's pretty into analog horror as well.
@@inthedeadhours Sam Lake is just so cool and passionate about his games it’s a breath of fresh air tbh love remedy
@@jasoncoleman8803 same
I think what worked best with this was the anticipation of something worse or like a jumpscare, and I'm glad they didn't do that. It would've cheapened it because the bluntness of the whole sequence is honestly much more eerie.
